Quite unexpectedly intriguing. There are mysteries which are not fully answered in the book. There are scenes of romance, but also scenes of visceral violence. The story is certainly not over, and perspective stays to one individual. I am definitely reading the next book.

Great. So glad to see more of Vlad. Great book. Just wish the next one came out sooner.

Has potential. It's okay. The characters are a great and the story line different. My only thing with it is there really isn't good flow or clear description on what was going on. One minute a person is standing and talking. . . the next sentence you're outside? I had to re-read some areas to figure out if it's just me or just the way she wrote. It's the way she wrote. Plus there was only two hot scenes ;). I did enjoy it enough to look for the next book. If you like Frost you will LOVE Karen Marie Moning.

Well, THAT was disappointing!. I've read all of Frost's other work, and this is the first one I've regretted buying. I have been looking forward to Vlad finding love - the build-up of this relationship was a little flat, and IT'S ONLY HALF A STORY!!!! Apparently, there's going to be a second part book? This story seemed a bit drawn out as it was - is Frost desperate for money, or just running out of material?

Amazing!. 100% perfection. Loved it the first time and love it even more he second. I love Vlad. I need my own Vlad. I love Bones but Vlad is the ultimate Alpha vamp! I read this series over and over and I still can’t get enough. It’s got everything you could ask for in a series and does NOT get boring which is Key for a series!!!!

But the building up led to a big let down I liked the beginning trudged through the middle n hated the end You NEVER leave your fans hanging like that ???? Why . well at least I don't care about waiting a year to see what happens

Bloody fantastic read!!!!. I just stumbled on this book and writer 2 days ago and this is an amazing story and written amazingly!!! I was lost in the story and at times felt like I was watching a movie- such was this writers ability! About to get the next book in this series. Will also be reading all the books from this writer that I can find. Lol!!!

Team VLAD. I LOVE Frost's world! I am a huge fan from the beginning. VLAD has always been my favorite character, above Cat & Bones. I was so excited when I heard he was getting this trilogy. The book doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed it when it first came out. I enjoyed just now re-reading it. The story is full of wonderful dialog, twists & turns and fantastic characters.

Frustrating. As I was expecting a stand alone book (like Mencheres and Kira's story) I was very disappointed by the ending, because this is only the start of a series. Also I found too many mistakes which interrupts the flow of the story (for me), I've read free stories on sites such as Literotica with less mistakes (makes me wonder what i'm paying for and is this just an e-book thing?) On a positive note, I enjoyed the lively beginning and the even livelier coming together of the protagonists!

Great read for an vampire fan. Good read for any vampire fan. Great story with all the main characters and will keep you gripped and wanting more. Good to see the story will continue as you won’t be able to get enough of Vlad.

Jeaniene I love you. i read this so quickly i couldn't stop, i love her books I've read them all they're amazing best vampire series out there the characters and relationships are fascinating. Badass, passionate and fierce. Im sorry cat and bones but Vlad & Leila got you beat especially in the second book
