⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I hadn’t read for a long time and this book definitely got me out of my reading funk. It deserves its 5 stars for presenting romance, fighting, fantasy and bravery all wrapped beautifully in 1 go. It’s as though you’re there with Feyre along the way getting a backseat view of all she has to live

GET THROUGH BOOK 1. THE FIRST BOOK - The writing style is not for me. Much more interested in the other characters than the main character, probably since the main falls entirely flat. I think if she had foregone the “heated” parts it would be a great fantasy book for a child. THE SECOND BOOK - I AM HOOKED you just really have to survive the first book then the story really takes off in the second.

Overhyped. Definitely expected more based on everyone gushing over this series. Also if you are looking for any kind of spicy/smut this does not qualify. There were two instances where it could have been added but they were rushed through with no detail and less than a paragraph for either of them.

Great writing. This book was so good, from the plot, to the character development, to the pace, and the dialogue. And it just gets better in the next books

A thrilling but easy read. A great read especially for a first time fantasy reader. World building was easy to follow and the author wastes no time throwing you into the thick of it. I loved the little bit of spice in it too.

Confusing world building. I enjoyed this book, however It is in first person and the descriptions of the world and the creatures in it were a bit hard for me to conceptualize. The writing is slightly confusing, and it takes a while to get into the book- especially if you read any of her other books prior to this one. Other than those points, it is a good book and was entertaining enough to keep me engaged. I have heard that this series gets better as it goes on, so I am going to continue reading it. It is based in a fantasy realm, but it is more like faeries in a grotto kind of fantasy, rather than knights and castles.

Storied loved. Easy and mesmerizing read. Fables meet a beauty-huntress, a beast of a world and love.

Absolutely LOVE it!. This is my favorite series ever! The characters are on fleek and the plot got me hooked from chapter one. My only problem is Tamlin, and anybody who finished the series knows EXACTLY what I’m talking about 😑. Other than that obvious mess up, the whole thing is just “PERFECTION on paper” Ms Maas, YOU ARE AMAZING!

She’s not perfect but she’s worth it. I really loved this book and continued to read the entire series but this book definitely takes some warming up. I was hooked but at times I found myself putting it down or being semi hard to track because of the the author dialogue, that being said I still loved this book. Book 2 and 5 though are my all time favorites.

2.5 stars. The first 45% of this book was just boring and the pacing was slow. It was a struggle to get through but I stuck with it because of the hype surrounding it and the promise that it was worth finishing just to get to the second book that is supposed to much better. It was hard to emotionally invest in any of the characters and by the time things finally became interesting in the second half I found myself only mildly entertained. Honestly the second half wasn’t good enough to make up for such a slow start, nor was it good enough for me to justify moving on to the next book and paying full price for it. I’ll catch it if it’s ever on sale like this one was.

Very cliche and full of itself. I made it over half way through before going to read other reviews. Seems like those that rave about it want an easy read with sex scenes, definitely not a fantasy book. The author came very close a few times to making the world and characters interesting, but quickly lost the plot, unfortunately. Not worth the money for a fantasy book, or even a romance, both aspects are shallow and miss the mark. Based on other reviews, I will not be finishing the book or the series.

Beautiful!. I kept hearing mixed reviews about this book but I loved every second of it. If you’re having a hard time getting into it, keep pushing through the first few chapters. It’s soooo worth it! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Speechless. This series… where do I even begin? I cried, I laughed, I sat on the edge of my seat with goosebumps, I was thoroughly aroused… There are a few holes, some slow parts in the third book, but overall it was a great series to curl up with and escape into a magical realm that has so much adventure, mystery and of course, toe curling romance.

Amazing. This is an amazing book I recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy and action!!🤩🤩

3.5/5. It was like if hunger games and twilight had a baby. Stripped of any satirical or political/class warfare undertones that gave its parent books any depth. Definitely a *little* more smut than the above mentioned with some fairy magic.

Love. The character development of the main character was believable and amazing. I’m excited to read the sequel!

2nd Go around. overall a pretty solid book I could not stop reading so that’s definitely a good sign. I read this once in 2020 and I’m coming back to it and it’s still pretty good despite the fact that sometimes Sarah J Moss tries to embed imagery and it just sounds kind of silly sometimes.

Why is this popular?. It’s as if someone tried to combine the best of “Beauty and the Beast” and the worst of “Twilight”. Terrible characters, terrible writing. Wish I could get my time back that I put into reading this book. I kept trying and pushing through because I had a lot of friends who told me how great it was. I ended up stopping about 3/4 of the way through and just skimming the last chapter. Really glad I only got this at the library and didn’t actually buy it. Not worth your time.

I am an adult now that has never loved reading, the twists and turns of these characters and the fantasy that she is written them in, to me, feel as real as the Harry Potter series. It comes to life when you read this series. I could not stop, I bought all the books immediately and when they were not here in time for me to continue to the next one, I bought them on my phone until they arrived at my home. this whole series is amazing. this is the first book i picked up in years and i was not disappointed. every time i finished got close to finishing a book, i ordered the next and spent the days in between reading over the lore, telling everyone about it, and coming up with theories. very excited for the most recent book to drop. 20/10 will be reading again

A Court of Thorns and Roses. Hey everyone! I’m here to do my review on ACOTAR. I’ve been wanting to read this series for so long, and last night I finally finished book one! I have to say, if you’re not a heavy romance reader or are 16+ I don’t recommend you read this series. It covers a lot of serious topics, but I liked it more than I thought I would! I feel like even though I didn’t love this one, the books will get better! Fantasy books definitely need build up to get good. Sarah J. Maas did Prythian in a really gorgeous way, and her writing style is super captivating. It was good, probably a three star reading for me. Now I’m off to Barnes to buy ACOMAF 😂

It made me feel. This book has soul in it , it made me cry, laugh, get angry on the characters behalf, scream with glee it was everything I’d hoped for I’d definitely recommend

Eh it’s alright.. This book definitely had its moments where it was enjoyable. Although that’s the case, I feel the author lacked creativity in the writing in a handful of places. The same analogies and descriptions were used countless times to the point where it was almost obnoxious. The “climactic” disclosure of Tamlin’s situation left me rolling my eyes and feeling quite disappointed. I love fantasy. With good fantasy writing I feel there has to be a believability that keeps you connected to the story.. I felt the plot ended up being a little forced for me. With all that being said I still read it and felt entertained through a lot of it. It’s worth a read!

My Favorite Series Ever. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to start this series at first. I read the sample and thought “not sure if I really want to spend the money on this one”. But I needed a longer book for an upcoming vacation and other reviews convinced me to give it a try. Best decision ever! I can’t believe I almost didn’t read this incredible series. Romance and sci-fi are my favorite genres and this is a beautiful mix of both. Fell in love with the characters and blew through all 4 books in a few weeks. In addition to the amazing characters, storyline, etc. I can’t stress enough what a brilliant writer Sarah is! I have read everything from Harry Potter to Outlander, to all of Colleen Hoover’s books, and I love them all. But in my opinion, nothing can touch this series. I was actually quite upset when I finished. Do yourself a favor and read it all!!!
