Love and Other words was an amazing romantic easy read. It is one of those feel good novels that is easy to read and makes you smile. Highly recommend!
I used to read all the time and even since life got busy, I put books aside. Now that I’m coming up on finishing college, I decided to try reading again. This book is completely worth it. Feeling like you are apart of the book is something I missed so much. This is a definite read!!! (I plan on buying the physical book too)
Finished this book on my honeymoon, this was a great easy read for someone who loves romantic stories. I felt it was missing something, the story over all was captivating enough but seemed too easy in the end. Overall, I couldn’t put it down at one point. Would recommend for a light read

I’m a big fan of Christina Lauren books and this was my favorite so far. I read this book over 6 months ago and it’s still one I think about today. It was too good to put down and one I will definitely read again in the future.

I could not put it down! I had looked at it a few times before I picked it for my next read... so happy I read this amazing love story. The characters will make you laugh,cry and cringe with frustration. Then they take your breath away. The deep love Macy and Elliot develop for each other gave me chills ...I never wanted it to end.
What I love most about this book that the storyline is very heartwarming you can feel the little details between Macy and her father , and with Elliot , it’s a little bit of a different take on love stories and I really enjoyed it , can’t wait to read more novels from a Christina Lauren .
(Possible spoilers) Sit down because this is going to be a long one. (If you get what the review title means your a real one) First let me just say that I loved it, so many feels (Macy and Elliot were so perfect). Now on to the juicy stuff. Sean was a walking red flag. Don’t even get me STARTED on how he reminded me of Ryle (yeah THAT ryle from IEWU). The only slightly redeeming thing about him was how cute he was with Phoebe. The whole back story with Macy and Elliot was an emotional roller coaster 🎢. The feels were so extreme. Like they fr had me laughing, blushing, and crying within one chapter. Bro if that isn’t saying enough idk what will. Also the whole cheating-on-the-love-of-my-life-with-a-knockoff-and-then-her-dad-dying thing made me maddd 😡. How th did he think Emma was Macy 😭😭😭😭 and her dad ……😭😭😭😭😭. Not cool Christina, Lauren not cool. On the other hand I related so much to both of the main character with their love of words. I feel like that’s something anyone reading this book (or any for that matter) would say, but it’s so true. Finally I can’t forget to mention the ending. Ummm there was no reason for it to be so good. Like I’m soooo waiting for the sequel where they are getting married and Macy is pregnant jus sayin. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk 🙏🙏🙏👁👄👁
This book broke my heart and put it back together. For anyone that had that all consuming first love, this book will bring up all those emotions in the best way. This will live in my favorites.

I absolutely love this book and finished it in a day I was so engrossed. Truly it is a book of longing and loving and unspoken words. Elliot is this wonderfully written by a woman man and I will now forever swoon for him. It made me laugh cry and really feel like I was living it out. Couldn’t recommend this book enough.

Nice story. Tragic and lovely. A lot of back and forth. Almost a little too much would be my only thing. It seemed the two main characters got annoying towards the middle but the ending was good and tied it altogether so I ended up liking them.
I finished this book in literally one night after searching high and low to find it in stores, only to find out it’s sold out everywhere in my city…and for good reason!! This book is SO good. The alternating timelines make it impossible to stop reading it, and it’s so well written that you don’t mind reading more. Ms. Lauren you have outdone yourself!
It’s currently 4 in the morning and i just finished this book in two days. Honestly it’s pretty good and i can tell I’ll read it again in a couple months. Spoiler —- Unpopular opinion: Elliot is kind of the worst tho………

While this is a good story, it is not your typical Christine Lauren book. There is no light-hearted banter. I don’t think a book has ever ratcheted up my anxiety quite like this one.
It’s hard to balance sincerity without tipping over into syrupy sweetness. This novel does both, in the youthful and grown up timelines. Highly recommend

*subtle spoiler* I have to say, this book really took me by surprise. I did NOT expect most of the events that were revealed at the end of the story. The book is split alternating between the past and present, which gives an interesting twist to how the story plays out. I loved Macy and Elliots beginning and how it came about, but man the crazy twist that is revealed broke my heart. And then the author swooped in and picked up the pieces and glued them all back together. I do wish though, that there was a little more on their life afterwards. The writing was good, you could really feel the emotions between the characters. Character Development wasn’t as good as other books I have read, but it works for this sweet story. please read! You might cry, I did, multiple times.
After reading many of the entertaining series by CL I was pleasantly surprised to find this sweet story...becoming invested in Macy’s journey and then Elliots too. Intermittent flashbacks helped unfold the parallel between the teen and adult love story perfectly. And I appreciated the depth to the main characters in that they were all relatable. I too felt the book went too quickly-a compliment to the writing.
This was my 3rd book from these authors... and I enjoyed this as much as the other two I’ve read. I’m a fan of past/present read. The pull of it. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and could not put my phone down.

I delayed reading this book, i always like savorying a clo book and if i read it right away...I’ll get sad it’s over to quick. Even so, it was over to quick!! The characters and, as always, the dialog are funny and real and perfect. I should warn you i did tear up and/or cry through 70% of the book. I think it’s a testament to the writers that i am easily invested in the characters and touched on a personal level by the story. For fans of the beautiful series there is bit of a player (Will) vibe to this love story. Enjoy!

This is my first Christina Lauren but won’t be my last. I love when I stubble across new authors. The store of Elliot and Macy was a story of friendship, love, angst, insecurity, death, life family and destiny. This book checked all of the books leaving me wanting more and leaving me believing in soulmates. I love when I have a book hangover.

I will say that this book has a different feel than the others. It’s not full of hotness but sexy. It’s definitely not paranormal. It’s just different. More. Eleven years. I want her library! Also, I live in Santa Rosa so it was so fun to see the area in a book. Real places that my family visits. Quotes: “If there’s anyone I have to prepare for, it’s you.” “Favorite word?” “I made Elliot bring Imodium with us when we went to see the Backstreet Boys, because I was having tummy troubles.” “The embarrassing part of that,” he says, “is that I went to see Backstreet Boys.” “No,” I correct him, “the embarrassing part was that I caught you dancing.” He acknowledges this with a little flicker of his eyebrows. “I had moves.” I laugh. “Yes. Movement is the only way to describe what you were doing.”

the best book I’ve ever read, a literal page turner, the plot was well written out and the ending was the best I could’ve asked for. There was also an unexpected cry I had. 😭😭
Nice easy read, read in two days
The format of the book moving between the two timelines provided an interesting story and was easy to follow. I enjoyed Marcy and Elliot as a couple, just wish the ending was discussed a bit more. Seemed to be wrapped up quite quick and didn’t address the trauma she went through.
Seriously such a beautiful love story. It’s depth had me laughing and crying, and totally invested in Macy & Elliot’s return to each other. ❤️
