Not Well Written. I truly enjoyed Crazy Rich Asians; it was the best fiction book I have read in ages. Sadly, I did not like the sequel half as much. There were too many new characters and too many ridiculous plot twists. This book was lacking the cleverness and humour that the first book mastered so well.

Page turner. Just as his first, Kwan writes an amazing page turner unable to put down! The lack of a final star comes from the hype of Nick and Rachel’s relationship that seems to be missing from this book compared to his first.

Good read. It’s was a good read. Only the sorry is a little different than the movie. I hope the sequel is as good as the book

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. I cannot express just how much I loved this book and also his first book "Crazy Rich Asians". I could not put either of the books down. I tried to read as slow as I could so the I could drag out the enjoyment but that didn't work. I was obsessed with reading to find out what happens next.

Cringe. The narrator pronounced half the things wrong in French and English. She couldn’t pin one English accent down properly and it was too difficult to listen to. I couldn’t help but cringe when she would be in and out of an accent in a sentence and then say five things incorrectly. She even said a word in French wrong that the way she pronounced it meant something else with alarming meaning.

Amazingly entertaining!. I am just halfway to the book and unfortunately i cannot finish it as i have to go to sleep. But so far i am very amused and happy with the story. Not a boring page yet...and i cant wait to finish it all tomorrow.

China Rich Girlfriends. Excellent read for entertainment and exposure to obscenely rich culture abroad. Great weekend or vacation read. Tantalizing tidbits about Chinese aristocracy and generation x new money mushed into drama. Loved it!

Really dumb. I loved his first book and was excited for his follow up. This second book is poorly written,has ridiculous plot twists. I disliked intensely some of the characters. Don’t waste you money on this book.

Fun follow up. It is a fun sequel to Crazy Rich Asians but somehow the plot seems to be jumping all over the place and with too many characters. I think it would be great to focus on the plots of 4 to 5 main characters and trim the rest. Also the writing style seems a little off with multiple narratives jumping from a fashion blogger to one of the character's diary entries to news reports, versus from the author's point of view. Overall, it is a fun read, giving a glimpse into the over the top craziness of China's wealthy and the generation gap between the fuerdai (wealthy 2nd generation) versus their parents, which somewhat is similar to the Singapore crazy rich.

Truly Outstanding. One of the best books I have ever read. The characters are developed so well that you truly feel empathy for them. Kevin Kwan does it again in this fantastic sequel that I believe to be better than the first one.

FAB $ Funny $. $$$$$ issues are no joke with these high rollers. Stunning

Really fun read. As an ABC with relatives in China who have too much money for their own good, the series hits a little too close to home. But it's really great and such a fun read! Can't wait for the next one!

Pages disappear. Seems that during my time reading this book, I became engulfed in every chapter, that pages go by and I forget about the climax I left from the previous chapter!!! Very well placed and executed!!!

Easy and entertaining read. I actually like this sequel better than the first book in the trilogy. There was more action and drama in this book and I liked that it was a quick, easy read.

Begging for more ASAP. I need a 3rd book. Awesome book to the end. Kevin please make book 3!

Amazing sequel. I loved the first book and this was a great follow up. I loved that Kitty stood up for herself in the end and Rachel’s read to Colette was epic.

Meh…entertaining. Sequel not nearly as good as the first. Storyline is over the top and borderline ridiculous. I'd also say pretty predictable and under whelming.

the dramaaaa. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I am not of fan of the Nick and Rachel plot line. It lacked a lot, especially in part 2. I just found myself wanted to skip their POVs. But overall worth the read. I’m diving into book 3 asap.

Great read.. It took me awhile to get into this book but after a couple chapters I was hooked! My bus time was filled with excitement of Rachel, Astrid, and kitty pongs comeback! Excited for the next book. Did not expect the very end.

AWESOME BOOK!. I used to read a lot but haven't do it as much because I have been busy things like school, work, etc. I like reading but am not much of a "book worm". If you want to start reading again (or if your mom and teachers are nagging you) this is a great one! It is funny but still has serious and emotional moments. You will laugh out loud and also cry. You feel sympathy, jealousy, and understanding for the characters. Its good for teens and any ages above. For asian people it is especially funny (speaking from experience) because you will totally understand and think "haha my grandmother does that!" However, it is great and funny for all people. Highly recommend the entire series!

Home run. Again he knocks it out of the park.. So wickedly funny.. His characters are so lifelike.. It's easy to cheer for some and boo for others.. Hope I don't have to wait two more years for his next one..

Funny, witty and a page turner!. I got this book right when it was released! 9 years later, it’s still an awesome read. I can’t wait for the film adaptation of this movie and see the well cultured and descriptive settings that Kwan has meticulously written on the big screen! Hoping sooner rather later.

It’s getting a bit ridiculous. All these Uber wealthy stories are getting a bit over done. Kevin is a great writer who provides substantial character development BUT I’m a bit over the crazy stories and descriptions of how much this costs and how rich these people are.
