The Viscount Who Loved Me. Loved it! I read it in three days for my surprise…I devour it! After watching the second season of the tv series Bridgerton, I urged myself to read the book because many comments stated that it was completely different from the book. They weren’t lying! But I must say that both are great! Even though is not a loyal adaptation to the book, it has many elements from it. I loved them both individually, but the book was amazing!

Fun, but..... A little formulaic. But fun! A few eye popping moments. Diving into the next one.

A little repetitive with all the “playful death threats”?. I watched the Netflix adaptation and decided to read the books to see what’s next in the story. I was kind of put out by all the constant “I’m going to murder him/her”. It wasn’t funny and it makes the read a bit annoying. The author should show a bit more variety in her writing of the dialog. Other than that the book was okay.

Entertaining from beginning to end!. Anthony is one of the best characters in this series and the entire plot of him finally finding love is one of the most attention-grabbing storylines ever. I thoroughly enjoyed this book & will mostly likely be reading it again!!

Loved This. I love historical romance. I also love a good enemies to lovers romance. The banter between Anthony and Kate is so perfect. I laughed so much reading this book. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Love Bridgerton. Okay I am sold on the Bridgerton train. TOOT TOOT! I’m here for it. This one was even better than the first. Anthony is the best kind of love interest, I just loved him so much. He was so sure he would marry out of necessity and not love. He tried so hard to not give in to his immediate spark with Kate (his fiancé’s sister). And Kate was a stubborn, imperfectly perfect heroine. Two people you just want to root for! I cannot wait for the third bridgerton. This series is so much fun! I listened to the audiobook and found myself giggling so many times while doing housework. Five stars :)

Not At All Like The Netflix Series 😩. I’m so disappointed to find that the Netflix series deviates SO MUCH from the book that … well, I might as well have been reading two different stories but the characters just shared the same name. 🙁 I purchased this book after watching Season 2 of Bridgerton, hoping to find out more of what happened between Eloise and Penelope at the conclusion of the season. 😖 Don’t waste your time!!! That storyline isn’t even here. It honestly doesn’t even seem as if Eloise and Penelope are even friends in this book. BUT if you can ignore the total 180 Netflix did to this story - oh wait, they did keep the Bee 🐝!!!! Then by all means buy it, it’s a good read just lower your expectations - not nearly as much drama and definitely better developed characters than the show.

Review From A Contemporary Romance Fan. I overall have had a little interest in the historical romance genre. But after the most recent season of Bridgerton, I was craving some more context of Anthony and Kate so I decided to read the book. I was very surprised and happy that it appealed to someone who is a devoted contemporary romance reader. I think it really speaks to Julia Quinn’s writing that her books have some appeal to people who do not traditionally read the genre.

Just get it already. Just finished their story and it’s was HOT ! 😜 in every aspect possible I love it !

Love. It was great, seeing how I went from the show straight to book#2 just see how Anthony’s life would turn out and it was a bit predictable from the begging of who he was going to fall in love with but I mean it was a great book. Not sure that I want to read the next book because I was aching for more of Simon and Daphne and although they made small appearances it wasn’t enough for me lol but you’ll enjoy this one. 🙌🏼

Could not put it down. There were moments I laughed out loud, and moments I was clenching my chest. I was hanging on every word!

Starts out good. I really loved this book more than half way through. Kate and Anthony’s chemistry and flirting were so entertaining. I do feel like it was over emphasized and redundant about her not being as beautiful as her sister. The thing that left me disappointed was he turned chauvinistic on their wedding night “denying his rights” and the fact he never truly told her how much he wanted her & never the sister. I sincerely hope season 2 of Bridgerton does a more romantic scene that the book. Overall I liked this book until then.

My books were deleted. The first three Bridgerton novels were completely deleted from my app and replaced with the new Netflix artwork versions for me to purchase again! The books were even removed from my completed list.

Thoroughly enjoyed!. I have to say that I have never smiled and laughed so much through a romance novel as I did with this book. It really isn’t a quality I thought I needed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it’s an easy read, I finished it in just under 2 days. However that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some depth to it. The writing is done well and I lost myself in the moment on more than one occasion. The author does a great job in conveying emotions and really building the world around the characters. It may not be a huge fantasy world, but I think it does justice to England life in the 1800s all the same. ( not that I am an expert, so I don’t actually know, but that’s the fun thing about imagination.) I’m starting the third book and I cannot wait!

I’ll give book 3 a chance. As far as romance novels goes, it was entertaining. Wish it had a little about the rest of the Bridgerton’s though. Mostly every page was just about the two main characters. I get it, it was about Anthony, but still Not too much variety. Idk.

Best book in the entire Bridgerton series!!. I’ve read the entire series, and the Viscount Who Loved Me is the gem and best book of all! Kate is the ideal heroine and Anthony the ideal hero, and together, these characters are a match made in heaven. Kate is the best written character and female lead in the entire series, and the love-hate relationship between her and the Viscount is like Pride & Prejudice all over again. A true gem that I can read over and over. After this book, An Offer from a Gentleman (the Cinderella story) and Romancing Mr. Bridgerton are a close second and third favorite.

I’m excited to see how it would turn out in the show 👀. i loved this story, it was amazingly executed with equal parts angst and love. i really wonder how Netflix will express this in their show but i’m looking forward to it nonetheless. i’m already on book 4 and i can’t seem to put any of them down T^T my wallet is crying tears of pain but i’m not complaining :)

The viscount who loved me. I’ve read the first 3 books of the Bridgerton series and I love everything about them. They’re very well written, love their stories and the drama in it and most of all… love that there’s always a happy ending and beyond stories for the characters. I love knowing that, even after struggle, the characters will live happily ever after. These books have been incredibly entertaining and they’re a great escape from reality, to a time where things were very different from today. It’s hard to put them down once you get reading.

Go Anthony. I absolutely love this book. The relationship between Anthony & Kate is fantastic. I couldn’t put it down. Love it!!! Hurry Up Season 2 Bridgerton.

Loved it. Looked up this series after binge watching Bridgerton on Netflix... I can’t say I was disappointed loved the story and was completely captured by the characters.... after reading reviews I was surprised to see people worried about accuracy with the period... seriously it’s a fictional novel not a text book that aside i highly recommended this book.... word of warning the epilogue contains spoilers on future books which was disappointing 😢

Charming Book. After watching Bridgerton on Netflix, I decided to read this second book and really enjoyed it. I felt like I could picture Anthony and all characters really well and also visualise the places too, this makes reading so much easier and more enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend this book and also the tv series! Can’t wait to watch this book once it’s made into a series too.

Loved it!. Anthony is brilliant and Kate is his perfect match. I loved how it was said that her sister was the more attractive and how she was overlooked but still Anthony couldn’t keep away from her. It made for a really fun read that also let you know a bit more about Edmund Bridgerton as well as the Bridgerton families’ childhoods.

What a read. When I first heard I’d Bridgeton, my friend was watching it with her mum, and recommended it to me. I didn’t even though there was a book. Being a child, I didn’t watch the highly graphic tv series, but read about the new actress in the Sunday times magazine. I found the book here and read it. And what a book it is…

Kanthony supremacy. This was such a great read, from start to finish. I loved Kate and Edwina’s bond and the Sheffield family just so touching to read. Of course, Kate and Anthony have my heart!

I’m in Love. Anthony Bridgerton is just...wow! How can you not read this book without falling for him. His love for his family and Kate is unmatched. A wonderful book on my favourite Bridgerton. A satisfying ending, however, it leaves the reader wanting more. A look into his life with Kate as they began their family and raised their children would have been the icing on the cake. In all it is definitely a must-read!

Delightful. I don’t have Netflix and so I haven’t seen Bridgerton but the hype about it brought me to Julia Quinn’s Author page and as the second book was discounted I thought I would give it a try. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. I enjoyed the family element and teasing between siblings, the humour and was pleased that the bedroom scenes took place after marriage which seems more historically accurate than many of the books set in this period. Anthony might have been a rake but has redeeming features and Kate’s witty sarcasm is a delight. I did find it disappointing that a story that was first published in 2015 has not been updated to remove typos though.
