ELOISE’S STORY

Sir Phillip knew that Eloise Bridgerton was a spinster, and so he’d proposed, figuring that she’d be homely and unassuming, and more than a little desperate for an offer of marriage. Except . . . she wasn’t. The beautiful woman on his doorstep was anything but quiet, and when she stopped talking long enough to close her mouth, all he wanted to do was kiss her . . . and more.

Did he think she was mad? Eloise Bridgerton couldn’t marry a man she had never met! But then she started thinking . . . and wondering . . . and before she knew it, she was in a hired carriage in the middle of the night, on her way to meet the man she hoped might be her perfect match. Except . . . he wasn’t. Her perfect husband wouldn’t be so moody and ill-mannered, and while Phillip was certainly handsome, he was a large brute of a man, rough and rugged, and totally unlike the London gentlemen vying for her hand. But when he smiled . . . and when he kissed her . . . the rest of the world simply fell away, and she couldn’t help but wonder . . . could this imperfect man be perfect for her?

FRANCESCA’S STORY

In every life there is a turning point. A moment so tremendous, so sharp and breathtaking, that one knows one’s life will never be the same. For Michael Stirling, London’s most infamous rake, that moment came the first time he laid eyes on Francesca Bridgerton.

After a lifetime of chasing women, of smiling slyly as they chased him, of allowing himself to be caught but never permitting his heart to become engaged, he took one look at Francesca Bridgerton and fell so fast and hard into love it was a wonder he managed to remain standing. Unfortunately for Michael, however, Francesca’s surname was to remain Bridgerton for only a mere thirty-six hours longer—the occasion of their meeting was, lamentably, a supper celebrating her imminent wedding to his cousin.

But that was then . . . Now Michael is the earl and Francesca is free, but still she thinks of him as nothing other than her dear friend and confidant. Michael dares not speak to her of his love . . . until one dangerous night, when she steps innocently into his arms, and passion proves stronger than even the most wicked of secrets . . .

It started with a letter. Eloise’s story was so beautiful I was excited as she decided to take control of her on fate. I laughed I even cried a couple of times It was a beautiful love

Snail0607

Surprisingly delightful. I wasn’t sure going into this story of Eloise that I would enjoy this book, especially after watching the Netflix season one. I thought it wouldn’t be possible to picture Eloise the character in the show to Eloise in the book. Don’t hesitate, you’ll love it!

~Buble'Babe~

A pleasant change of pace.. I love how the story is told in the country away from the ton, whistle down, and most of Eloise’s family. It truly was all about the couple. I love that the male character was more rugged, less formal. A pleasant change of pace. And of course Julia Quinn kept it spicy! 🔥

Jood2004

Not what I wanted for Eloise tbh. The story was quite beautiful but I could not imagine her being HER in the story. It felt like I was reading about a completely different character and sir Philip made me feel like he only wanted to marry her to be an unpaid maid in the house at first. His change of emotion made me feel like he was “forced”. when I read I would like to feel like the characters are real people and I’m just like an invisible person watching them. when I read this all I could think about was “they are characters the author forced them into this” not like the other books. Still I enjoyed it but very out of character. I just…. Expected Eloise’s story to be different idk what but not this.

It Starts With a Letter. This is Eloise’s story and it’s, perhaps, the best of the Bridgerton’s so far. We finally find out why her fingers are always stained with ink. At 28, Eloise remains unmarried—by choice. She’s had offers but has turned them all down. None tempted her to accept and she’s fortunate enough that her family supported her choices. But there comes a time when she decides to make a change, to take a chance. Enter Philip Crane, a brooding botanist and the widowed father of two.

Love but. I was so excited to read Eloise story that I read right after Anthony. I expected a lot but in the end I’m glad she found happy ending.

Sniff_ch

Favorite of the this series. Their love story was one of her best. The twins are so much fun. The story is really well crafted and I love how they took such a minor character of his first wife and turned her into a much more detailed character in the tv show. I can’t wait for them to cover this book, hopefully they will put off Benedict a little longer and do this book next.

Snoofers

To Sir Philip with Love. Wish I had skipped this book. I was so hoping for a good man for Eloise, instead He’s a total narcissistic brat. She deserved so much more. Only part I enjoyed was Eloise with his children. Seriously could not wait to finish this. The series does improve with the next book “when he was wicked”.

Adbmcbzdb

Favorite one in the series. The most unexpected match for Eloise, and she is truly even more a delight as a wife.

Kimbo1216

Good ine. Eloise is a favorite. Glad to have finally read her story. Not feeling the second epilogues though. Felt the same in the last one. 1. They’re really long for an “epilogue”. 2. They’re rarely about the original main characters, so they feel more like a tiny novella than an epilogue.

CRSGCR

Terrible. The way she treated Eloise character is horrible. Phillip just wanted to have sex with her . I was not expecting it at all.

Amandax345

💕💕💕. A beautiful novel! It really was different and surprised me!

Jnelle87

Sweet but forgettable. There was a lot that happened off the page, or in a letter, for this book. It’s hardly explained or shared for the reader. Despite the length of this book, it felt slight rushed and unclear; the main characters loving each other in a ridiculous amount of time and loving things about each other that are not fully shared with the reader. It was ok, but definitely a forget it shelve it book.

Good, but…. I’m glad I read this book because I’ve already decided to read the series and I loved the previous 4 books. This one is my least favorite so far. Each story has its own twist to it and this one definitely did too…. I just felt like Eloise’s story could have had so much more intrigue considering her character had been developed already throughout the last 4 books to a point. This love story didn’t seem to fit into what I though Eloise would pursue as her life’s dream.. definitely didn’t strike me as the mommy type. After the first half of the book however, when the brothers showed up and the story moved outside of the house and the limited setting, it got much better. The steamy parts didnt disappoint, as usual :D

Kosmogirl2010

Love it. By far my favorite.!!!!! Beside Eloise is my favorite Bridgeton.

Sukillionaire

What a terrible way to treat a promising character. I thought Eloise was such a good character in the previous books — to pair her with Sir Philip Crane is almost criminal. He’s emotionally manipulative AND a terrible father. His justification for treating Eloise poorly is that he was unhappy with his late wife so that gets him a free pass to behave however he’d like. Also, the late wife suffered from untreated mental health issues and receives zero compassion from other characters or from the author. I read the whole book and both epilogues hoping it would get better. Reader, it did not. If this is how Julia Quinn treats her female characters, I’m out.

Excellent book!. My favorite Bridgerton book yet! Well done! I read it in one night. Couldn’t put it down.

Nassygjjafhe

It started the Netflix show. It started with Netflix show and now I’m entirely invested my day and night into this series. Thank you for writing all these masterpiece. I just enjoyed reading lives of each Bridgerton. They are so lovely and fun and courageous.

Janice Sweetwater

Fave!. One of my favorite novels so far!

Harley_havok

Not what I wanted for Eloise. Eloise was my favorite character in the Bridgerton series. She’s intelligent, independent, opinionated, picky, humorous, and she just doesn’t stop talking. To me, she seemed to always stand firm in her beliefs and was cautious about marriage because she wanted the best for herself. This book, I felt she was not her true self with her “love match.” And I really wanted someone better for her instead of someone who was desperate to marry anyone just to have someone to take care of his children for him. In this regard, I do hope the show does stray from the book because it was downright depressing to me for Eloise. I’m giving it 3 stars because the book did keep me reading, and the author does write well despite the storyline. I read the book in a day, as I have all the other ones so far. It has a lot of charming rhetoric between characters and the children gave it a less gloomy feel and did allow Eloise’s personality come into play.

Avidreaf

Just Lovely. It is so well written and interesting throughout! I finished in two days!!

Amyann87

Eloise deserved better.. The only good parts of this book are the parts that involve more of the Bridgertons. Sir Philip is horrible and Eloise deserved a much better husband. I struggled to get through this book, the first 4 I couldn’t put down hopefully the rest are more like those.

PoePlease

Fire. Probably my favorite out of the four I have read. Eloise is a firecracker.

Not impressed. The only reason I liked this book is because I feel compelled to know about all eight Bridgertons. The first and second books were so good could not put them down. Never wanted them to end. The third was just magical. Then came Col & Pen. I was disappointed. Was not expecting much from ‘To Sir Phillip, with Love’. Got just want I expected, not much. I hope next one will be better.

DebSab7

The best love story!. So far the best of the Bridgertons series, in my opinion

Cat8A

Not my favorite Bridgerton. For reason I didn’t find the story appealing. The idea started well how their friendship started but when meeting in person the dialog and situations were boring in my opinion.

Whatever$

Disappointing. An insanely boring and disappointing story. Such a waste of a good character, Eloise’s match should have had a much better plot. It was alternately depressing, boring, and trite. The attraction was not believable - hell the whole story was ludicrous and it has put me off Julia Quinn and the Bridgertons maybe for good.

Tr7942

I have bought this book once and now have to buy it again?. I bought and paid full price for To Sir Phillip with love, (and every other book of Julia Quinns) but now it seems it’s been withdrawn and if I want to read it I have to pay for it again! Very very poor customer service!! I strongly object to paying for the same book twice!! Be aware if you are going to buy these books that this could happen to you at any time!! I’m wondering now how many of the other books I am going to lose because you are going to withdraw them! You’ve lost me as a reader and a buyer.

KNGaskin

I already bought this book!. This is grossly unfair. Bought the book and paid full price. Extremely disgruntled.

Yvxrxtvuhibyctxtvibuc

Disappointing. This was my least favorite in the series so far. I expected a much more interesting story and challenging partner for Eloise. This story felt lazy and unimaginative.

F.Farooz

Why do I have to repurchase this. I had this book in my ebook library way before the Netflix show and now I have pay to repurchase ?? Please confirm !! I would like my book that I purchased and own back in my library
