Sanderson is the best.. If you haven't read Sanderson, then you haven't taken the next evolutionary step in your fantasy reading.
Wow. This boom just does so many things right, from revitalizing what should be stereotypical tropes (like a train robbery) into wonderfully crafted scenes, to surprising us in more and better ways than ever before. Sanderson's excellent way of framing battle scenes and dialogue and everything in between simply leaves me disappointed that the book was not longer, yet completely satisfied with it in its entirety.
Good not great. I liked the book ok but felt it was slow in the middle but it did have a terrific ending.
sanderson outdid himself. there was not a single chapter that did not make me laugh out loud or feel like a kick in the head from a plot revelation.
Wow. Love the characters, love the world they are in. Cant wait for the next one.
Best Ever. This man knows how to write, the highs the lows, make you feel that sense of excitement as the hero prevails, as well as ripping your heart out with the pain you watch the characters go through.

Best of wax and Wayne yet. Best of the second era in the mist born series! Sanderson brings more depth into each character in this book and uses more twists in bands of mourning than either alloy of law or shadows of self. Drops a big cliff hanger in the epilogue to keep readers excited about what's next! Looking forward to reading the future books.

Brandon Winn Sanderson (born December 19, 1975) is an American author of high fantasy and science fiction. He is best known for the Cosmere fictional universe, in which most of his fantasy novels, most notably the Mistborn series and The Stormlight Archive, are set. Outside of the Cosmere, he has written several young adult and juvenile series including The Reckoners, the Skyward series, and the Alcatraz series.
