Saloon owner Blake Malone is a bachelor and likes it that way. He worked hard for everything he has, but the San Francisco City Council won’t approve his plans to build a family emporium unless he is a family man himself. The solution? A mail order bride from New York who will bring him a ready-made family, stability, and the council's approval.<br>

Blake expects his future wife to care for his home and, other than helping him impress the city council, to stay out of his business. He expects life as usual. What he gets is an unexpected desire to win Nellie's heart, a dangerous threat to his new bride, and a rich benefactor determined to steal his new family out from under him. Blake believed his battle for success a hard one. But he will discover that the battle to win Nellie's heart and keep his family safe is going to take everything he's got.

Nellie. Quick read. Enjoyable, but not much plot.
Must read. Love love ❤️ this book, I finished it in one sitting.
Nellie. I absolutely loved this book!!!!
Nellie. Great read!
Good plausible plot. Interesting. Historically accurate. Not crazy about such detailed sexual encounters, but at least they were married! I’m glad the plot is plausible without any ‘cat pulled out of the hat’ episodes. The Greeks called it something else. Anyhow, overall pleasing experience.
Fun read like candy!. If you adore romance, this one is good for a one day read!
Ehhh... It was just ok. A bit too sappy for my taste, and a little too focused on the soft porn that's so often overdone in so many "romance" novels. Not much plot or character development leading to getting bored by the third chapter, and lots of punctuation errors and typos. I'll skip the rest of the series.
A Great Western Romance. I was surprised how match I really liked it. It was different from the traditional virgin bride get's her cowboy mail order bride. And I really did enjoy it and would highly recommend it to read. Hoping she continues this storyline with his partners story.
Awesome read!!. Loved it from the beginning to end💕
Soppy. Juvenile superficial writing. Boring stilted
An extremely captivating and great book!. I didn't think I would like this book because it takes place in the 1800s, but it still seemed to fulfill its role in being a great book! 5 stars, nothing less.
Nellie. There is no way that the people that read this book actually gave it 5 stars. I am by no means a book snob and enjoy sappy romance novels. There was no build up, no conflict, nothing. Literally from one page to the next the main character says all the reasons he'll never love a woman and on the next freakin page he professes his love through internal dialogue without any catalyst at all. The other woman supposedly has some plotting to do to get rid of the wife....nope no plotting...nothing sneaky just confronts her in public and says...I've killed other people and now I'm going to kill you...really. ZERO excitement.
Nellie. I really enjoyed this book, I have read meany books this is in the top five, I never once skimmed any part of this book and that's rear for me. Can't wait to start next book!!
Fantastic!. One of the greatest books I've read! A lot of plot twist but that's what made it even more enjoyable. I hope to read more of the series and more of the books by this specific author😌👌.

Nellie. Excellent.
Nellie - 2/5. Very basic book with basic plot points. Only gave it a 2 because I wanted to know how ends — pretty skipped through the last few chapters
Nellie. They just get better.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a play by Edward Albee first staged in October 1962. It examines the complexities of the marriage of a middle-aged couple, Martha and George. Late one evening, after a university faculty party, they receive an unwitting younger couple, Nick and Honey, as guests, and draw them into their bitter and frustrated relationship. The play is in three acts, normally taking a little less than three hours to perform, with two 10 minute intermissions. The title is a pun on the song "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" from Walt Disney's Three Little Pigs (1933), substituting the name of the celebrated English author Virginia Woolf. Martha and George repeatedly sing this version of the song throughout the play. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? won both the 1963 Tony Award for Best Play and the 1962–1963 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play. It is frequently revived on the modern stage. The film adaptation was released in 1966, written by Ernest Lehman,....
