Summer of Change

Summer of Change by Elena Aitken Book Summary

He's used to getting what he wants. And he wants her. Successful, handsome and too damn charming for his own good—he's perfect. The only problem? Letting him in could destroy everything she knows and loves. Samantha Burke loves her quiet close-knit community of Cedar Springs, just the way it is thank you very much. The addition of an upscale new resort as well as its arrogant owner, Trent Harrison, and the change they're both sure to bring to town, is certainly not welcome.  As far as Sam's concerned, Trent can turn right around and go back to where he came from. That is, until one very hot—and completely unexpected—kiss changes everything. Now Trent is pushing his way into her town, and her life and it's getting harder and harder for Sam to deny the heat between them. Change is inevitable, but can either of them drop their guard long enough to accept it when there's so much on the line? Including the chance for love?

Fun, easy read. A great escape.

Sweet love story! Quick read with interesting characters and storyline.

Loved the book. And the happy ending. Can’t wait to read more of your books! Thanks!

Started too slow with little interaction between Trent and Sam then bam they're in love the end. No explanation of the Harrison Bros backgrounds, the town history or Sam's father or how her mother and brother's accident occurred.

I enjoyed the story but, I thought Trent's change of feelings were too abrupt. One minute he does not believe in love and relationships, the next without any explanation he's in love with Samantha and wants forever.

Sam was so unsure of herself and the writer made her appear to be a poor businesswomen. Early on her bar was popular (everyone gathers there) yet wasn't making enough of a profit to put a roof. I gave it three stars because I liked Trent.
