Outstanding!!. This is a must read. I was sucked into this book and was unable to put it down.

So so. This was one of his most boring books. And the end was not the usual twist.

Worst one. So disappointing! I love Harlan Coben's books he is the only fiction author I read and up until these past 2 years I've read all of his (non teen series) books as soon as they're released and wait eagerly for the next to come out. This was the first of his I read that I regretted wasting my time and money reading. It was predictable and an extreme let down. I want to read the last two I have yet to read but am starting to think possibly the Mickey Bolitare series has spread himself and his creativeness thin. So disappointed because books like "Gone for Good" and "Tell no One" I've read multiple times and am always referring coben's books to friends really talking up his ability to keep one thinking. So sad maybe it's time to hang up his reads😔

Sexist writing. Lazy and sexist writing

Coben strikes again. Another great read from Coben. Started a little slower than some of his others but then I realized I had almost read three quarters of the book already. Great twists and turns and as always his depth of characters was spot on, really gets you to feel like you know them.

Harlan’s done it again. As usual, Coban delivers a great story. Full of twists and turns. This one was hard to put down. Please keep them coming!

Lame writing of female characters. The story is exciting and all, but the way every single female character is described made me cringe. Sometimes they had personality traits and even feelings, but for the most part they were described in terms of their attractiveness to men. They were all just bangable, almost bangable, or used to be bangable. That was just kind of lame.

Loved this book. This book kept me guessing all the way through. I finished it so quickly because I couldn't put it down. An easy read that is very entertaining. Definitely recommend it!

Superlative book. The Stranger.... Mr. Harlan Coben has done it again...maybe his best book yet. It was suspenseful, but believable. This is a future movie, in my humble opinion.

The Stranger. I thought this book was awful. It was confusing, and I felt that each chapter added to the disconnect. The premise on which it was based was elementary and unbelievable. I could not believe this writer is a respected author.

Characters. This is my favorite author, however this one missed the mark. Way too many characters. It got a bit confusing.

Hard to Put Down. I enjoy books like this: short and fast-paced chapters; each ending on a revelation or cliffhanger. I saw some comments about how some readers were disappointed with the ending. It wasn’t what I would have written, but that is where the author chose to take us. I totally respect that. I recommend this book.

Good read, but…!. I enjoyed this book, and the ending kinda threw me! I did have a little trouble keeping up with the many characters brought in, and then referred to later. I would have to go back and find out who they were and how they related to the story! Some of that could have been on me, as I didn’t read it straight through as usual, and would come back to it after being away for a while! It was a great story! I am still thinking about some aspects of it, so that’s a good thing!

The Stranger---WOW!!!!!. This is my first read by this author. How I missed him, I'll never know but I am hooked!! I'm so used to guessing the next twist and even the outcome of books, this author was a true challenge the whole way through! Absolutely riveting during the whole ride through this book, and what a great ride it was. Thank you, Mr. Coben, you made me remember why I love reading! I can't wait to read the rest!!

Awful. Horribly disjointed. Multiple stories. Like reading 3 or 4 books with no connection; one chapter from one book, then reading a chapter from another book. Mr. Coben's worst effort of his books that I've read.

Fast Paced Suspense. The Stranger was fun to read, and really kept me guessing. Adam Price was a character I really liked, as well as his two sons, Thomas and Ryan. I was quickly caught up in the story, and found it a very quick one to read. While it wasn't one of my favorites by Coben, I enjoyed reading it and liked the story. Adam Price, attorney, believes he is a happily married father of two. When some shocking secrets come to light, he realizes that his life is not as he thought. After he confronts his wife with her lies, she refuses to tell him the complete story, and then disappears. As her disappearance soon seems to be connected to a couple of murders, Adam tries to unravel what she was involved with, while trying to find her. Although I don't think this was among the best by Coben, I am glad I read it. I thought Adam was a great character, and I enjoyed reading his story, even though I found some of the plot implausible. The story was fast paced and full of action.

Fascinating read.. This is the first time that I've read a book by Harlan Coben and I must say that I am very satisfied with his work. The book starts off grabbing you by having the "Stranger" approach Adam with a secret. From there, the various characters in the book will come together in a common thread. It's full of mystery and suspense which are two things I love in a book. I will definitely read more of this authors work.

The Stranger. Sometimes hard to follow because of all the different characters and their separate stories. But, as always, amazingly creative and lightening paced. Gets you on the first page and doesn't let go until the end. The kind of book that you miss when you finish it. The kind of book that you always look forward to having a little time to pick it up and read some more and not have to stop reading because you have something else you're supposed to be doing. The kind of book that makes you late for appointments because you don't want to put the book down. The kind of book that makes me love reading fiction. Harlen Coben is so consistent that way.

The Stranger. I just finished reading "The Stranger" and loved it. I have read all of Mr. Coben's books. I am never disappointed in his writing and story telling. From the first page to the end, the story has you mesmerized....hard to put down. I have read some of his books in one sitting, not realizing it's the wee hours of the morning. I highly recommend this book, it's well written, lots of intrigue, mystery and twists and turns. Mr. Coben's has the gift of storytelling down to an art. I'll look forward to his next book.

The Stranger. Really suspenseful and intricate. I found, at times, there was a little too much character description and 'mind' searching/philosophy/revelation. I've read all of Coben's books and I particularly enjoy the Myron Bolitar series. All in all I look forward to his next novel.

The Stranger. Mr Coben books have always been first rate. Unfortunately, this one breaks that tradition. Flabby prose make it a chore to finish.

Home Run!!. Most of the Harlan Coben books I read, I loved. There were one or two that I wasn't impressed with & took days to read. Not this one. I read it over the course of a day & had to stop myself from jumping to the end to see how it turned out. I'm glad I didn't, it was complete surprise on all fronts. It will take me awhile to find another pager turner like this book. Home Run!!

The Stranger. Excellent. I loved this book as with all Harlan Coben's books I could not put it down. Easy reading, extremely great story line. Harlan can relate to the reader like no other author.

Ridiculous premise. This story of a Soccer (lacrosse) mom mystery meets CSI solved by her lawyer husband is an absurd story. I'm a Coban fan but this is not a great effort. Maybe less quantity and more quality in the future.

So disappointed in his recent decline. Where have all the good authors gone? First Stephen King, then Dean Koontz, PATTERSON and now Coben. Guess they've all run out of ideas. Too bad.

The Stranger. I thought this book was terrible. I missed the connection between the activities of the stranger With Corrine and the Lacrosse fathers. Coben often made a statement and then decided he had better explain. Poorly planned, not interesting. I agree with one of the reviewers that the good authors have gone downhill. Patterson lost it when he started just putting his name on the cover but someone else wrote it.

Horribly terrible bore!. I loved Harlan Corbem's previous book. It'll take a miracle to convince me buy another one of his books. The best part if the book is the first 3 pages. Not chapters, pages. The rest of the book was torturous blathering bunkum! Just shameful lazy endless drivel over a meaningless, pointless, totally unrealistic plot that makes you wonder why anyone would bother even trying to write thus. I am the type to suffer through a book if I spend the money on it even if I am hating it....this was unbearable. And the ending was even worse if you can imagine that being remotely possible. Book is filled with painstakingly boring dialogue, none of which advance the book or the plot. Why we have to read page after page of a 6th grader's lacrosse game ina murder mystery story is mind boggling to me. The multiple mini stories have nothing really interesting to do with each other. So you again wonder....why? The character conversations resemble something you would expect out of a bunch of 9 year olds. Thus was one of the most disappointing books I've ever read, save your money please!
