Cant say enough.. Honestly, this series touched me. I havent read a book in almost 9 years and when i started these i found myself unable to put it down bc the pages were so relatable, almost too relatable. I found my self relating to so much; a complicated love story, family issues, losing hope and seeing the better in life. Each page became more and more addicting i couldnt help but somewhat feel relief knowing that everyone goes through these things. This is a love story that is more true then most like to admit, a story showing the true curveballs life can throw at you. This made me realise how much I need my “hardin” in life and every obstacle we have been through, we have came out together. This truly is a must read!!

Toxic. This is a series about a toxic relationship. I hope any you g Turks who reads this doesn’t look up to this as a standard for love or relationships. This should’ve stayed a fan fiction. Also is this what passes for literature? What a dumpster fire.

Loved this series. I didn’t like how long they actually spent apart before coming back together, but I loved the ending.

Delivers the happy ending you want, but misses the point through out the entire book.. I loved the first two books of the series. I caught on because of the movie. So I went and read and was falling in love with Tessa and Hardin and everything they went through. Them against the world. But the third and final books were disappointing. Yes, ultimately they get the ending that you’d want but I can’t help but roll my eyes at Anna Todd’s sloppy way of slapping it on in the last few chapters of the book—seeming more like an afterthought more than anything else. Another really alarming concern about this series is that this relationship truly is unhealthy and toxic. I would go as far as to say as both Hardin and Tessa are abusive to each other for the entire duration of the series. Only do they get the redemption and character development that they deserve in the last 10% of the book. The author never discusses why they were toxic and how they had to change to be healthy for each other. Instead, she time jumps years and years only bothering to highlight milestones, with nothing in between given to her audience. Her chapters are short, and feel rushed at the end. The entire last book was dark, and dragged on. Some warranted, some seemed pointless. What’s most disappointing about the way she ended the series is that we never got to experience the joy that would have been Tessa and Hardin finally giving it a real adult try, and seeing their relationship blossom again under healthier, more mature circumstances. Instead, we spend 4 books worth being yanked around, on again, off again, exhaustingly pulled back and forth through this tumultuous “relationship” that you WANT to root for the entire time but it just falls short of giving you a reason too. By the time you get to their happy ending, it’s just not as satisfying as it should be. The constant time jumps only make it worse. For this reason, I won’t be picking up another Anna Todd novel. I feel emotionally drained from the fictional whiplash of this relationship, and do not want to commit to more of that.

I need more. This entire series is just everything to me, Anna Todd literally has, to my own astonishment, helped me be more open and accepting of so many things she’s written about, things I never thought I would do or say, I do thanks to this series. #Hessa for life. #AnnapleasewritemoreIneedmoreHessacontentinmylife.

Broke my heart not read about the wedding 😭. Need another book for their wedding and books on Emery & Auden Scott and how Hessa handle their relationship ups and downs! More more more! ❤️

The Grit. This series had me hooked... it was an easy read but the ending felt rushed and with many unsolved issues. I feel like I’ve just been cheated out of years of a relationship.

Perfect. Couldn’t have imagined a better ending, so realistically frustrating to see how they work in their relationship and refreshing the way they grow together for themselves and each other. Absolutely beautifully and perfectly written. Read the whole series in 2 weeks, pulled all nighters because I was physically incapable of putting it down, literally captivating, took me to a beautiful place I couldn’t leave.

Amazing even the second time around.. After watching the movie “After” on Netflix, I was hooked. I needed to know what was going to happen next, and couldn’t wait for the next movie. I’m not much of a reader at all, but that didn’t stop me from buying all 4 books. I read all 4 within a week. I couldn’t put it down. I laughed, cried, and felt heartache as if their pains happened to me. So much heartache. As soon as I finished all 4, I watched the movie again. Fast forward a few months, the cycle repeated. I watched the movie again, simply because I missed it. Which in turn caused me to, once again, read the series all the way through. I just finished this last book, and it was if I didn’t read it before. I felt every emotion again. The laughs, the pain, the tears and heartache. But now that I’ve finished, tomorrow I plan on watching the movie once more as I did the first time. As I mentioned, I’m not much of a reader, but this series was seriously amazing. It got a person who doesn’t read, hooked and wanting to read more. The author, Anna Todd, has a way with words; she’s an amazing writer. I have struggled to find another series to read that captured my attention the way this has. I will constantly keep a look out for anything else she publishes. The only thing that hurt the most, was the time spent apart. I get it though, she needed to find herself. And he needed to find himself as well, in a different manner. But I felt like I missed out on so much in their lives. It felt rushed. I wanted to know if they got married, and how it went. How it was for them during their pregnancies. I would LOVE if another book was released to give us that. But if it’s meant to leave the reader to their imagination, I’ve never been good at that. Which is why I never read, but I try regardless. Overall, I personally give this series a 10/10. I’m sure I’ll end up reading it all the way through again in the future. There were A LOT of ups and downs, but isn’t that life?

Heartbroken. I read all 4 books in less than 1 week. My whole day was spent around these books. I was obsessed. I am terribly heartbroken by the way the book was so rushed to end. I had hoped that she would have put them together more at the end than getting them apart so much.... I mean 2 years after 2 years were going by in within paragraphs. The HUGE disappointment for me is the fact that there was no indication if they got married or not... it’s assumption since the author went all the way to 10 years after. But it would have been an amazing part of the book for the two to have a wedding bc since the beginning Tessa has been wanting that and Hardin went all around it too at the end... So why why??? All the books were a thrill but it was heartbreak after heartbreak. PLUS I am EXTREMELY amazed that Hardin was able to be away from Tessa for so long... I mean not many calls and texts... what the heck?? How can they do that if they are SO much in love?? He was never able to It hurts me to know that I would have to assume all the things that we as readers would have wanted to read. When I read the 50 Shades of Grey series, at the end of all the series, you wanted to read it again and again. But this book it really hurts just to glance at my notes bc it reminds me of its ending. Even though yes they ended together and with kids, the author missed a huge part of their lives and didn’t give us the wedding, which was talked about SO MUCH, mostly at the end. Again I feel so heartbroken

AMAZING. I never liked reading and haven’t read a book in over 5 years. I watched the movie After and just had to know more about the story. I started reading “after we collided”, and then couldn’t put it down. I read all three of the books in 2 weeks! It was amazing and quite dangerous. I literally couldn’t put the book down, I read it on my phone while driving! (I don’t recommend that) Anna Tod has created an amazing serious and each ending had a surprising turn of events. I can’t say enough good things. Thank you Anna for this book, I have now found a new love for reading.

Steamy, romantic, dramatic. This one was by far my favorite book of the series. It’s very steamy and romantic but also very dramatic. The way it ended was very satisfying and left me with closure. I loved the character development. The steamy moments made me feel like I was right there experiencing it myself. Anna Todd is an amazing author!

Beautiful ending. I don’t normally write book reviews, but for this book I felt it was necessary. I was very hesitant about this book from the beginning because I felt that Tessa and Hardin’s relationship was very abusive on both sides and for most of the series I found myself hoping that they would break up. In this book, we see the greatest amount of character development from both of them. It was beautiful to see them grow away from each other and then back together and by the end, I knew they were meant for each other. The ending felt rushed, but I think that was good because the whole point of the series was for them to grow and learn how to really love each other in a healthy way, so by the time they got there, the story had truly reached its end. So overall, I think this book was a great ending to the series and definitely changed my outlook on Tess and Hardin’s relationship

Favorite book of the series. Every time I read this book, it makes me feel an array of emotions that no other book has ever made me feel. I cried with Hardin and Tessa, I felt their pain, their emptiness, their sadness, their longing, and ultimately their happiness. I love how much Hardin grows, and his devotion and loyalty to Tessa. I wish the ending wasn’t so rushed, and we get more details in “Before”, and my greatest hope is that Anna Todd publishes a book in the future dedicated to the years after Hardin and Tessa we’re reunited again so we can continue to fall in love with them.

Love and loss. When I say I felt everything I meant it... The ups the downs, the turns the twists , the love the loss .... These books changed my mind about the views of things and gave me a reason to wake up in the morning and reason to sleep at night. I read and pictured every second of it in my head. The author made me feel like I was there I was angry when Hardin was angry and I was happy when Tessa was happy. I read all 5 of these books in 6 days and before that I hadn’t touched a book in almost three years. So thank you Anna Todd for giving your readers... us to be excited to read. Never Want It To End.. It’s just so good. I fell in love with the characters from watching the first movie on Netflix. I was on a tight budget and joined watt pad just to get a taste of #hessa again through fan fiction. When I saw another movie was made I was thrilled. I poured a glass of wine, curled up on the couch, and loved every moment. That was last week. I discovered more movies were in the making but I needed more now! I have read 4 books in this series so far. I can’t put them down! I find myself reading late in the evening, waking up early to read before the kids get up. I read while I’m making meals. I read at every extra moment. Anna Todd is just that good. I would love nothing more than to just read every book she’s ever written. And honestly, I probably will. Unfortunately, life has to go on and the stories always end too soon. Keep writing, Anna. You have a gift that many wish they possessed (including myself). Thank you. Buy it. Buy them all.

Favorite series ever by far. 🙂. I watched the movie and became completely obsessed so you can only imagine the excitement when I found out there was more behind it. I finished the whole book series in less than a week. I ate, slept, and breathed these books. PLEASE READ!! I just kinda was hoping for a different ending versus it being smushed.

Great series!. It was a great series; through all of the ups and downs even. However, the ending felt very rushed. We obviously know they had children and were married. But it still feels like it was missing that happily ever after that we’ve all been waiting for! I wish it would have been a little longer instead of skipping literally years into the future. Good but not great. I’ve loved this series so. Freaking. Much. I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, and I could feel the love. However, I truly feel like this book was missing the happy ever after. We got a glimpse of what happens but after all the ups and downs associated with it, it was disappointing to not see more of their ending without the time jump.

This novel was amazing! Beyond beautiful !. I loved that Anna Todd went into the future and let us see how Hardin and Tessa continued their amazing love story and embraced their children and created a strong family bond. The one thing I truly missed was reading about the beautiful fairy tale wedding Tessa and Hardin deserved having their entire family present! I will have to dream the moment in my head to envision their beautiful wedding.

I don’t understand how this series has such high ratings.... Where to start? I went into this series with high hopes because I loved the Netflix movie. I have read a lot of books.... I mean a lot. These books dragged on and on and the story lines were weak and very predictable. The character development was stagnant with anticlimactic character arc’s. The second book seemed like it just said the same thing over and over again for hundreds of pages. The writing style itself was very hard to read as there was poor literary imagery and the author jumped between first and third person writing which was unpleasant to follow. If you want an amazingly tragic love story, do yourself a favor and read A Court of Thorns and Roses.

This entire series made me look at love in an entire different way. I can’t imagine ever thinking of “love” the same again. I am speechless and my heart ached during parts of this book and series like I’ve never felt before. This book dug into the depths of my thoughts and soul and I found myself looking forward to my future. I cannot wait for the second movieeee!!!! Hardins character tugged on my heart strings and gave me butterflies all while finding myself blushing and feeling happy for the characters so so happy!

Least favorite book in the series. This book has left me so confused. I’m all for letting the reader interpret, however I need to know if Hardin & Tessa were married! Four books later & it doesn’t even say!? Then, it didn’t mention if Landon married Sophia or not. Who is Landon’s mystery wife? The series as a whole was so drawn out being on and off again with Tessa & Hardin & sex to mask their problems, which makes me dizzy. Then, series just abruptly ended. I think maybe the writer was so bored with her writing that she decided to wrap it up. Todd did not give her readers what they deserve-a clean cut ending! I hate to admit that the series had me addicted with the need to know if Hessa is going to make it to the finish line. However, I will not be rereading this series. If I had the physical copies, I’d try to resell or give away.

After happy ever after - but was it really?. This book was painful to get thru. I actually skipped thru the last few chapters. I invested a lot of time in the series and would have expected to be happy with the HEA, only to be frustrated that it was pulled away multiple times.

Talk about a roller coaster of emotions. Beautifully well written book, it was sure one hell of a roller coaster of emotions to say the least. Despite the constant cycle of their relationship it had a beautiful ending and will forever be one of my favourite book series. Thank you Anna Todd

The ending wasn’t what I wanted. Hardin and Tessa was suppose to get married. If feels like the book wasn’t finished at the end. You spend some much time reading them go back and forward to leave it unfinished. Tessa was sad at the end too, she can’t have what she wants. I though that it was going to be worth reading their arguments and growth but, the ending wasn’t worth it. The books are great with the drama and back story. I just feel like I was left hanging.

Ridiculous. It's obvious Todd made a fourth because she's money-hungry. The third wasn't too long at all, it was pretty short. Just another dragged out 'plot' when there is no plot at all. Just sex, fighting, break-up and repeat. Save your money.

Great character Growth. I loved this book! The characters all had great growth throughout the novel. There were a few reasons I couldn’t give it a five star (spoiler alert) 1) I felt like we deserved to see Hardin and Tessa’s wedding and hear a little about their honeymoon. After all that journey. 2) I felt like Tessa and Hardin had too much time apart. 3) I like Hardin’s growth but I felt like he really wasn’t anything like himself at the end. I think he could have grown and still kept some traits just tempered down.

After Ever.... Heartbroken. You can feel ever emotion from every character. My head was spinning by the time I got to the end of the book, which was only after a day and a half. This book had me on edge for the fate of these two. It’s such a scary thing that a relationship can be so toxic and you realize that, but a book like this can make you crave that. I really need a remedy for post book depression because I feel SO close to Tessa and Hardin, so seeing this story come to an end hurts my heart in the best way. I’m feeling extremely gloomy coming back to the real world after binge reading this series. 💔

Absolutely amazing. This series wrecked me to my core - in a good way! I saw the trailer and wanted to read the books first. I bought the first book on a Thursday and by Sunday I had read and finished all 4 books in the series (I’ll be purchasing “Before” soon!) This book is so much more than a love story. This book is raw. It deals with addiction, anger, and major inner demons. The character development in Tessa and Hardin is unmatched. At times I was frustrated by the seemingly never-ending cycle of Hardin’s mistakes and destructive behaviors. But by this 4th book, I was crying and rejoicing for his progression. I think I was really disappointed to not get a definitive answer on their marriage and I’m really sad we didn’t get a wedding scene. The time they took apart was hard to read, too. But it’s what they needed and that’s real life for you. I’m so glad we got a happy ending though. I don’t think my heart good have handled it otherwise. I can’t rave about these books enough. I’m in such a post-book depression now. Thank you Anna for giving us this incredible and raw series.

Great Book But….. This series is pretty good. But the who entire series is just a vicious cycle. The fight, break up, the girl cries, the boy promises it will all go well, happily ever after, then cycle goes over again and again. It gets annoying. She cries too much, the boy acts like a savage. It obviously is a good story and pretty interesting but the cycle gets pretty annoying. Overall (the whole entire structure and elements) it is OK. 😐

One of the best series I’ve read in a while. I adore this series. I have followed everything that has to do this After and Anna Todd just to get a glimpse of anything new to absorb. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate these novels and will read them over and over, never tiring of this hauntingly romantic story. I love you, Anna Todd and can’t wait to finish Before and also the Landon Series. You have truly touched my soul with your writing.

Don't buy it it's free on wattpad!. Okay I spent $8 on this book only to read it and find out it's a remake of book three after we fell on wattpad. The ending was the only new factor when we heard about their kids and her getting pregnant. None of it was new. Save your money.

Raw and captivating. I truly enjoyed this series! It was so real and full of the love and loss, pain and pleasure, calmness and drama. It truly speaks truth in that no one and no relationship is perfect! Life is crazy and this book series captures it. I was annoyed throughout the series with typos and and some questions left unanswered. Also with some things that happened but later in the book were described in a different way, but overall it was a very addictive series. The last book (this book) felt rushed at the end. The series in a whole was very detailed and took its time to truly make you feel what each character was feeling and gain empathy for every scenario, but the last book rushed through the most important conclusions! It was disappointing in that it lacked the feeling that the rest of the books gave me. I laughed, cried, yelled, was angry, shocked, and felt overwhelming joy for the characters. Anna Todd helped me to fall in love with each character in her detailed and raw emotions but this book fell flat and left me craving for the raw emotion that I felt throughout the rest of the series. Overall I gave it 5 stars because of the emotion, depth, reality, and rawness of her writing.

Really!. I’m a huge reader and when I saw the trailer for the movie I just had to read the series. Well, where do I begin. I couldn’t even get through the first book. I’m honestly really disappointed that this is as big as it is. I’ve read a lot of Wattpad books and I can’t believe that this is something that people are raving about when there are so many better books out there. The writing is terrible and it’s honestly a half fast younger copy of 50 Shades. The similarities between the books are surreal. I wasn’t a 50 Shades fan but at least I finished the first two. Both the main characters are annoying and there is absolutely no character development. It’s a really toxic relationship for both of them and god forbid that they don’t get into a fight every other chapter. I feel Tessa is so insecure about herself that she has to pick out everyone else’s flaws. This book should have stayed on Wattpad.

Interesting Series!. I really liked this series and I believe that it has many valuable lessons to learn. First off, I disagree that Anna Todd is romanticizing abusive relationships, as some people have mentioned. She is trying to say that life is full of obstacles and there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. Also, one of the things I loved about this series is that one of the ideas is no matter what problems you have, you can somehow work them out. For the people who commented rudely, you can decide whether to take the good or bad from literature and keep it with you.

Yess. I TOTALLY recommend this BOOK!!! It’s amazing, beautiful, exquisite, lovely, wonderful, and so many more words that j am tooo lazy to write down!! LOL. Alright, it’s truly worth reading. Once you pick up the phone to read, you can’t seem to stop and you don’t want to. I would like if Anna would have written more about their future tho. But if you want to know some more about them you should read “Nothing Less” and “Nothing More” the Landon series. That’s he only thing!! Bedsides that I REALLY love this BOOK. I wouldn’t get stop of reading this. I would reread it over and over again. I told people that I know about this book and they say its amazing. They tell me how much they love it and how they just can’t wait to see it. So like I said before I TOTALLY recommend reading this. Favorite book ever. The most amazing book in the entire series. I was on the edge of my seat, laughing & crying along with the characters, who became so much more than characters to me. I can’t recommend this series enough, it has forever left an imprint on my soul.

Anna Todd is an exceptional writer, making you fall in love with her characters. I sincerely hope that she is working hard on her next novel because I can't wait to read it! Bravo Anna! I think this might be my favorite series of all time!. This series completely captured my heart. Absolutely brilliant in so many ways. This last book in particular really resonated with me because of Tessa’s struggles with infertility. Although, I know it was fiction... I am someone who has battled with infertility for years so it was something very relatable to me. And I can’t say enough good things about this writer! I can’t wait to see more from her creative mind in the future, hopefully love stories as amazing as Tessa and Hardin’s!

The after series. I’m not much of reader but this whole book series was amazing! I couldn’t stop reading until the end. And now I just want to read them all over again. The whole series has you on the end of your seat and you won’t be able to stop. If you enjoy somewhat romantic series this series is for you! I won’t stop recommending this series to everyone! It’s so good!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!. Cliche. Hardin forces Tessa to marry him after he's gone and made tons of cash of off her despair by writing a book about her. It's pathetic, really. Don't waste your time or your money on this. It's the exact same as the first three horrible books.

and to think that I hated this series at the beginning and then it was my addiction!. This series brought out the worst and the best of me, I lived every emosion, I cried, I got angry and I laughed, it was a constant journey to darkness and clarity, I usually don't read this type of book and when I started I found it so stupid because it was not a normal story like the one I read regularly, but this is the most real thing I have read in a long time this is actually the life is not a fairy tale with happy endings I feel identified with Tessa because I was fighting with my own hardin for years but I didn't have a happy ending

It gave me a surprisingly point of view. I f ing loved it Scott came so dam far in this saga I like to hear that his life end happy and that he was a dad to his kids that his fathers could never be to him But I have to ask What’s with the newer names? Hardin Landon And Zed and there children’s names? I only like Hardin Emery and Zed! I more of a EMILY LILA ANASTASIA AND HELEN kinda natural names kinda girl and those four girls names are my favorites As for boys I like Maxwell Jake and Dylan

I've been reading after since it was on the beginning of the 2nd book in wattpad and I'm SOO glad I found it because it is such an amazing book.

I love your books. Yes parents are right this book is a little much for younger ages. But I read it anyway and no matter how much trouble I new I was getting in I was determined to finish every last book in your series and if I could recommend this series to every human I would I love your books so you should never stop writing this book and all the others are indescribable. Never stop writing and don't let anyone get in your way.

Read on wattpad. Why pay for all the books on here when there is a better and free version on wattpad? I haven't read this version, but i can already tell the wattpad version is A LOT better.

Unfinished story. It seems the author was in a hurry to finish the whole series of Hardin and Tessa. She was like ok I’m so done with this, let’s just finish it. The story goes on and on until the end-and then it gets so sloppy and all over the place. It’s looks more like a rough draft rather then the edited piece. The sad part I wasted so much time reading the whole series and they never get married. Very depressing feeling at the end. She is not the same person. Completely broken and sad. It seems like she went through her own Hunger games. The ending gave me the feeling of the last chapter of Hunger games. Same depressed feeling and rushed ending. And no real closure.

Confused. Great books I loved them all but a little confused about the ending??? I don’t recall ever seeing that they got married so did they? And why isn’t Landon’s wife named?

Rushed. Loved the series so much, and I did not want to end at all. The ending of this book was too rushed and I felt as though it deserved a better way of ending the series. It all happened too fast and the “two years later,” and “two years after that” was not how it should have played out.
