Angry and upset. Handbook download. I purchased my first IPad and am attempting to download the handbook. Why do I have to enter credit card info for something I consider has already been purchased by me. I don't plan to pay for music or games or download apps that cost.....why should I have to enter credit info....to learn how to use a product I have already purchased....makes no sense to me.

Not enough Safari information. the guide does not have the information about how to change manage your favorites list. It just tells you how to edit it which will let you add a File or Favorite but if you want to change the order or put a saved page in a certain file it does not tell you how to do That How do you put your favorites list in alphabetical order. Or add a page to a certain file.

Very Helpful!!. When I first saw this book, I thought I didn't need it because I thought I already knew absolutely everything in the iPad. I was looking at one of my other books, then I saw this guide. I didn't read it after a while, but then one day I finally looked at it. Surprisingly, I loved it! There were things I did not know about in this device, like VoiceOver, and different keyboards.. Everyone who is a starter should definitely get this book. It's more helpful than you think.

A good introduction, but not comprehensive. A bit lacking in troubleshooting details, but at least links are provided to online support articles. We'll work through the issues we're experiencing with Family Sharing and see what the other user in the household thinks of the manual, if I can get her to read it!

Draft in the 'Mail' app doesn't work. I don't know where else to tell Apple that there's a bug when using the 'Mail' app. Every time I try to click on drafts, the app keeps on crashing.

This ISNT a 'how to use" guide!!. This is more like an Apple sales pitch. I've been using an iPad for 2 yrs now, mainly for reading books. With the update to iBookstore I hoped this guide would explain how updates work...as now you don't get shown which books have an update, you just get a red number...then you have to scan through your entire library in search of the particular book! Crazy! Worse still, the only complaint mechanism is through feedback here, ie leaving a review

Difficult to use. Dear Author Please could you insert a contents page both at the beginning and the end of the online manual. Index. An "Index" at the back of the book would be nice, such as "Lighting charger". In the "iBooks" app, Why are porno books mixed in with general category (including children's books)? Though I did not look at them, a book with a title "Licking, sucking, How to have a good first Climax" ( male and female) tucked in the middle of children's books where it would be hard to see by an adult . They only put these books one at a time then go back to regular books. Otherwise the book is very well done.

There is a Table of Contents!. I'm not able to comment yet on using the Guide as I just downloaded it (it is free, just tap "Get Book"), but it does have a Table of Contents & all you need do is tap the three lines on the top left of the heading where the menu bar is to view it. When I did that the chapter titles appeared & tapping one took me right to that chapter. I do miss the greater number of neat photo editing tools available before in iPhoto, although I have to admit I did most of my editing on my MacBook & not on my iPad. I did get a couple of apps for photo editing in my iPad so I have those available now.

Photos. I agree with the reviews that say the photos instructions are now complicated. I want to delete photos that I have imported from my PC but the trash icon doesn't work with these photos, only those taken with the I-Pad

IOS8 What a waste. I recently upgraded from iOS 7 to iOS8 I wish I never had. Number one, my favorite app iPhoto no longer works with iOS 8. Many of my apps are still not working and I don't know if they ever will. My iPad is now buggy, touchscreen sometimes recognizes when I touch it most of the time it doesn't .Siri obviously has received a traumatic brain injury because she has totally lost her ability to understand me on my iPad and my iPhone.Funny thing is Siri worked fine before I did the upgrade to I OS 8.Battery life on my iPhone has dropped considerably compared to before the upgrade. my advice do not upgrade you will not be happy.

Very helpful and well organized reference book on iOS 8.1. After I read some reviews complaining there was no index, I hesitated to download the book. But other reviews encouraged me to get the book, the price was right: $0.00 - you have to have iBooks downloaded, and when you select the book from iBooks, click on FREE. It will open in the iBook library (iPad at a Glance, iPad Overview), click on the selection button to the left of Apple Inc and you got the book index with bookmarks, contents and notes. It is easy to switch between contents and index, simply use the Resume button to get back to your reading. Love it, 5 Stars!

Review "ipad" user guide. Extremely valuable works. Ipad technology has become very complex, with updates frequently available, having this manual is not only mandatory for basic operations but the iPad has a plethora of variable functions as well. Practically unusable because of no Index or Table of Contents. Especially for books to read on an iPad or iPhone I think it is absolutely necessary to have a Table of Contents and an Index!

IPad User Guide For iOS 8. Having recently read the Guide for iOS 7, I found the "7's" guide to be superior to all the silly jargon on the iOS 6. The 7 had less to read & links to more in depth information. It was easy, did not assume the reader knew anything about the iPad. The new version - 8 - has little or no instruction for the novice beyond the names of the operating parts, keyboards in other languages & information on backing up the iPad using iTunes that I do not recall in previous iOS systems. If you want to know how to actually use and the many things capable of the iPad you will need to download the previous editions. I suggest reading the 7. I really expected some clues & instruction about some of the many wonderful capabilities that the iOS 8 offers. I FOUND NONE. BUT THEN I TURNED EVERY PAGE AND THERE IS NO WAY I TURNED OVER 400 PAGES. Good but some inaccuracies. Would have given it five stars but some things in the book didn't match the existing software - for instance in the book it says that there is a my photo stream album but in the photos app there is no such thing.

Won't Open. I've hit "Read" many, many times and it just won't open.

My Photo Stream. Why does this manual for IOS 8 talk about the My Photo Stream album? It was deleted when I upgraded to IOS 8. The Photo app is now very confusing and this manual doesn't help me understand.
