Critical Vulnerability by Melissa F. Miller
Critical Vulnerability by Melissa F. Miller Book Summary
In this smart, gripping thriller from USA Today bestselling author Melissa F. Miller, federal prosecutor Aroostine Higgins' most critical vulnerability is exposed.
Government records, medical equipment, elevators, security alarms ... they're all remotely controlled and monitored by computerized industrial control systems. It's convenient, efficient, and potentially deadly.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aroostine Higgins has put her personal life on hold to join the Department of Justice's elite Criminal Division. She's about to prosecute a major bribery trial—one that could make or break her career.
But everything's going wrong.
Her pretrial motion vanishes from the federal court's electronic docketing system. Her apartment catches fire. Routine dental surgery turns into a near-death experience. By the time Aroostine realizes her string of bad luck is anything but random, the stakes are greater than the outcome of a high-profile court case.
Determined to win at any cost, a hidden enemy threatens to destroy her—and the only man she's ever loved—unless she can stop him. Now, it's personal.

Critical Vulnerability. Good clean fun! Love a strong heroine.
Good, but.... I'm frustrated. In spite of all the things I like about this book, if you take that away it's just another story about a woman having to let go of her ambition and give up on her dreams in order to save her marriage. It's never the husband who has to let go of something in this kind of plot, he gets to follow his dreams and keep his wife.
Critical Vulnerability. A book you can not put done. Everything is fast paced and so very exciting. Love love love this book!!!
Critical Vulnerability. Great read. Looking forward to read the next books in the series!

Critical Vulnerability. Critical Vulnerability
Critical vulnerability. Excellent I love the characters and their friends from the woods. I hope to read more by this author. Thanks k.
Critical Vulnerability. I really enjoyed this book because it had great characters and the suspense created by the situations in the novel both excited and interested me. The conflicts in the plot in addition to the Indian Spirit Guide aspect made this book different from your typical suspense novel. In addition, the court case and technology added to the drama. Aroostine’s character surprised me and her history made her fascinating. You’ll seriously get sucked into this novel and won’t be able to put it down. It doesn’t disappoint and the fact that it’s a stand alone novel that doesn’t leave you hanging or frustrated just adds to the appeal.
Critical Vulnerability. Loved the book! Can’t wait to read more. Thank you!
Thriller with deep wisdom. I was surprised that I loved this book. I didn't know what to expect but kept reading. And it got better and better. The main character, Aroostine, brings the wisdom of the forest, nature and native family roots to her career as a Justice Department attorney. She's idealistic, tough, resilient and compassionate. My kind of woman. I look forward to more of her adventures.
Great read. Book makes you want to keep reading
Horrible end. This book was just OK until the ending made it terrible. Don’t bother.
Enticingly Different. Great story line, very real characters, imaginative current decade plot; warm story book ending, or a new beginning? Promises some terrific sequels
Critical Vulnerability. An Awesome Legal Thriller, twists and turns you’ll never see coming. An impressive relatable cast that you will surly get to know & love. Read it you won’t be sorry.
Critical Vulnerability. Could not put it down. Ms. Miller keeps you on the edge of your seat with all of her characters.
Critical Vulnerability. I very much enjoyed this book. I think it was the quality of the writing more than anything else. The story is good and interesting, and frankly I found myself tearing up more than once. I think you've found a good use for the wonderful education and experiences you've had.
Critical Vulnerability. Very good read. Keeps your attention. Would read others by this author.

Great book. Breathtaking good
What a page-turner!. I absolutely could not put this down! The characters were well-developed and the plot had enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. I especially liked the Native American aspect. It really made the story more interesting. I don’t often give five-star reviews, but this book definitely deserved it!
Critical vulnerability. Very well- written, captivating, surprise (and gratifying) ending! Can't wait to start the next book!!!

Great read. Was a hard book to put down, had all the twists and turns i needed to keep me turning the pages. Enjoyed Melissa’s style of writing and will be on the look out for more titles from this talented Author.
Mussion critical. Author American. From Pittsburgh. English degree followed by law school then practice with spouse (no comment). Now writes crime fiction and home-schools her kids. Creator of a popular series involving feisty Pittsburgh lawyer Sasha McCandless. This is a spin-off with a different female lawyer protagonist. (While you're on a good thing...) Plot Aroostine (I kid you not) Higgins lives in Washington DC not Pittsburgh, but has Sasha McCandless’s knack for getting into tricky situations. She also has what she thinks is a good case against a tech company, except the nerds are monitoring and manipulating her electronically. There’s an estranged spouse called Joe in the mix. Stuff happens. Writing Prose professional enough without ever shooting out the lights. Plot coherent if predictable. Ending right out of left field, which might be apposite considering the “cyber-baddie” element. Bottom line Resorting to deux ex machina always suggests to me that the author has had enough of this book and wants to move on. I know I did. Four star ratings on Amazon and Goodreads though, so plenty must like it better than me.
IT gets close to nature and nature wins. This is a book which falls into the category of "a good read". The denouement is perhaps a little flat but the journey is exciting and plausible and the characters engaging.
You have to keep going, it is a good read.. At the beginning of this book, I found it hard going, However once you get into the story it captures your imagination. It is well worth persevering with. It is full of intrigue, peril and excitement. A well written book with a different slant.
