Wish I could give it zero stars. The author actually uses the word "burden" to describe a mother taking her child up the stairs. A mother who loves her child would never consider her child snuggling up to her before bedtime a "burden". That was strike one for me but it gets worse. The heroine( term used loosely) actually let's her boss of one week come into her home and ravage her after her daughter is asleep...when she had just been crying over her dead husband earlier that morning and right before boss came to her home? Yes, she knew him in high school but after a decade has passed and you are reacquainted with him days before, you let him stay all night with your daughter in the next room? I don't think so. Please make a heroine...and one that is a mother...have more wisdom and self-respect than that. More respect for her young daughter too. The one physical scene goes kind of like this (way lame). He lights a fire in her fireplace while she is tucking in her daughter (again a little too presumptuous of an action for someone's first time in your home when they barely know you). She sits on the couch and reminisces that she hasn't had a fire lit in the room since her late husband. Bradley (hero "snort") turns around and sees his desire mirrored in her eyes and they just go at it. After one round she invites him to her bedroom and it implies they had several sessions all night. The guy, Bradley, supposedly loved her from afar in high school but never let her know, recommends her for a job at his company and then comes over to her house and seduces her without ten words between them? And I can't get a picture of a macho man with the name Bradley. Really? Brad maybe but Bradley? Umm, no. Bradley and Becky? Nauseatingly alliterative and boring. It has a predictable mystery element and features a weak cliffhanger ending so that you have to buy the remaining THREE books to finish the story. I am truly sorry I wasted time on this one.

Is his heart true. Becky is now the single mother of a six year old named Tessa. She lost her husband through a tragic traffic accident which the insurance want acknowledge as one. So Becky goes to seek out a job to pay for all the accumulating bills on her table. Her first job interview just happens to be at a magazine where a past high school classmate works at and unbeknownst to her is the reason she even has the interview in the first place. After her first photo shoot Bradley shows up at her house intending on telling her how he feels about her. But Tessa gets scared when the next door neighbor happens to call himself doing a good deed by winterizing her pipes from freezing over night. After Tessa has calmed down and taken to bed Becky watches Bradley make a fire and her heart becomes fascinated on what it is he could possibly want with her. Bradley is contemplating on telling Becky he loves her but figures tonight is not the night to do that. But they do manage to have a hot night of passionate love whereas they almost get caught by Tessa the next morning. But the next day as Becky is cleaning out her husband’s closet, finally, she comes across a DVD that makes her question her own marriage. I can’t wait to find out exactly whose heart is supposed to be true in this series.

Must Keep Reading!!. Talk about a plot twist! I am so curious about what’s to come!! The turn of events seem a little abrupt and rushed, but since I want more I can’t complain. I’m looking forward to reading what the sweet Becky is going to do with the changes in her life.

Wow…where is this going?. Major cliffhanger! I’m somewhat confused as to where Bradley comes in…probably need to read on. Not as steamy as Jordan’s usual!

Trusting his heart. Lucia Jordan once again has gone above and beyond on yet another story. She is fab and by far my favourite author. Hope things work out for Becky and Bradley I read this book on my iBooks app on my iPhone
