AMAZING. This trilogy quickly jumped to the top of my favorites. It’s so good! I love the twists and turns, the action, the drama, the characters, everything. I’m sad the story ended. I wish there were 10 more books. You can tell how much planning went into the plot. The author did an amazing job of connecting everything, nothing felt careless or aimless. It was all building to the climax. I’ve read so many books and have thought, “Why put that in the story? It’s unimportant.” Not once did I feel that way with these books. It all came together in a neat and tidy package that left me intrigued. I would recommend this to anyone!

So addicting!. This was such a good book! Seriously, could not put it down. The story line sucked me in from the get go, and I’m loving the slow burn romance between some of the characters! The ending is satisfying, but also leaves room for the sequel. Can’t wait to read the next one!!!

Realism in a fantasy. This book was compelling for the plot and the character arcs, but it was so refreshing because the female protagonist was not love sick or completely illogical. This book did a great job capturing the mindset and priorities of a 17 y/o without infantilizing them. The overall plot was full of action, covered the emotional turmoil of difficult life circumstances, consequences, trauma, and tribulations, and was incredibly well written so that you never felt lost, but you also could not anticipate the plot. Can’t wait to binge read the rest!

I LOVE!. I was completely wrapped up in this fun new world and I loved all of the quirky fun characters. At first I almost got City of Bones vibes but the story line quickly twisted and it became unique and fun in its own way! Definitely one of my favorites, and I love the series just as much!

I’ve been waiting!. I’m a huge fan of supernatural and am always looking for a good read! If you enjoyed the Mortal Instruments series you should consider this book. Relentless includes many elements of most supernatural characters. The plot was well thought out and I couldn’t put this book down. It has a strong female lead who takes no bull which is a rarity in literature. Especially where she doesn’t start out weak or find her strength through a male love connection. Can’t wait for book two!

Read all 7!. Loved the whole series!

Loved it!!!. I loved this book sooo much!! I found myself thrown into the plot with all the characters, and it was like a separate awesome world away from my hectic life right now. Would definitely recommend this book! I found my self having to read it whenever I could. Definitely going to read the whole series!! I first posted this comment after I read the first book, and I am now on the fourth. The next three books are even better than the first one!! I have read through the comments and noticed that the people who don’t really like this book are upset that there is no romance between Sara and Nikolas. I’m not going to spoil the other books but I will say that in the second book and beyond is where the romance is. Definitely recommend the series!!!!!

Relentless. Once I started to read this. Just couldn’t put it down. I must say it’s not really something I would normally read. The more I read it the more I wanted to read to see how it ends. It does keep you guessing.

Such a great book!. Hands down one of the best books I have read in a while! A very original take on the supernatural plot line. There is so much that goes on in this book that I couldn’t even begin to give a summary, but the main characters are a kick-a** heroine and a bada** hero. What more do you need to know? Can’t put it down!. Let me tell ya something, I am not normally a “reader”. I recently decided to get into reading because I wanted a new healthy hobby. I knew I loved things along the lines of supernatural, romance and mystery, which is what I searched when I came across this book. This book gives you the “on the edge” feeling at the end of every chapter, and you can’t help but read more! I love it! It leaves you needing more!

If you’re wondering if you should read...DO IT. I am very picky with books and was skeptical of this one, but I fell in love. Eh 2.5. Giving this a 2.5 stars. What I wouldn’t give to have a strong female and male character to just go out and say what they are feeling. This story BARELY hinted even a lil romance between them and I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for some romance to be in this book...and there wasn’t. Wow. It’s not often that I give five stars to a book of this genre, but this was so well written and the characters were so ‘real’, that any star less just would not do. If the writing had not been so good, this could have been one hokey read, but this authors magic with words made me a believer in every revelation, twist and turn. Relentless. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with this book. The story line and character development were engaging and I've downloaded the second book for more fun!

Excellent start to the series. This story grabbed my attention right from the start and kept it to the very last word. It was imaginative, had a slew of great characters, plenty of action and some hints of romance too. The descriptive writing, believable characters and engaging plot quickly pulls you into a world of excitement, suspense and action. Sara, the main protagonist, is a strong female character with a kind, protective nature and a determined personality and you can not help but like her. Her discovery of her power and origins, the dangers, changes and difficulties she faces endears you to her and you become invested in her life and development. Hints of future romance with the fierce warrior, Nicolas, adds interest and anticipation to the story and I will look forward to seeing how this develops in the rest of the books. The narration on the audiobook was excellent, her tone, pitch and intonation changed with each character giving then all individual voices and personalities. She did a great job of both the male and female characters and hit all the different accents well. I enjoyed this story and look forward to listening to its continuation in the next book.

Great read!. So entertaining that it's difficult to not continue reading through. Love it. I wish it ended with a love story. I recommend it to anyone who is adventurous and desires excitement.

What an amazing book. <3. It’s currently 3am and I just finished this book and I don’t usually even write reviews of books, but it’s worth it for this one. I don’t usually like books/movies that have anything to do with vampires but honestly this was so amazing. Nikolas and Sara have my goddamn heart.

OBSESSED!. I love this series so much. I paid to get every single book so I wouldn’t miss out. I’ve read each book countless times and always pull it out when I want a good read. It’s so well written and full of excitement. Huge props to the author for bringing forward such a good series!!! Hard to find books like these.

Fair. Good setting and world building. Started out with one of the best female characters I read, then became kinda YA traditional and ultimately the plot didn’t interest me.

BEST BOOK EVER!. I read Relentless and Refuge in about a combined 4 days and I am loving it! I can't put them down! I read them once a few weeks ago and I've read bits of them over and over again. I'm honestly worried about what I'm going to do once the series is over. I found it really interesting that there could be a whole other aspect to Earth that humans don't know about. My head spins just thinking about it!

Just brilliant!. It's not often I come across an author who writes as well as Karen Lynch does in both Relentless and Refuge. Absolutely loved both of these books and cannot wait for the third to be released. The way she writes makes everything seem so real and like this secret supernatural world could truly exist without us ordinary humans being aware of it! I somehow managed to get Relentless and read it, just a few days before Refuge was released, so didn't have much of a wait between them, the wait for the third is going to be hard.

One of the best YA series I've read. Takes well known fantasy elements and blends them so well with author's originality. The storyline is excellent - it doesn't fall into the trap of one plot line that annoyingly drags and gives suspense overkill, but charges ahead with more plot and twists! Read, you won't regret it

Good read. This book developed the story at a good pace. It definitely is the type of book that you want to finish and keeps you asking for more or what's gonna happen next? It's a little cliche for a young adult book but does have its own unique quality and spin to it at the same time. I'm looking forward to seeing the chemistry explored between some of the characters in the next book and some exciting questions answered.

Absolutely hooked. Reading the free story in 'gods and mortals' I was hooked from start to finish, everything a human could need on the supernatural , it's fun, gory, fast, compassionate, full of my fave beings , easy to visualise everything and I even tear'd up a little at one point with a certain healing (ahem something in my eye here) ... yes on book 2 , very enjoyable and would love to see On Netflix 😈😈😈..

An inventive fantasy. This novel blends fantasy and fairytale characters with ease. The female lead is complex enough to cope with the situations that she creates, as well as those in which she is unwittingly involved. The other actors bring their own strengths and weaknesses to the story. It’s a good beginning to a saga.

A great read!!!. At first I purchased the book because it was free and I was out of reading material but I then read the preview of it and it sounded really good! Once I had started the book I knew I couldn't put it down until I had finished it so I finished it and now it is one of my favourite books. I even brought the second one because it was so good and am waiting for the final instalment of the series!

A refreshing fantasy book.... At a time where more and more fantasy books seem one and the same this one is unique. Void of love triangles and ignorant heroines this book brings a more down to earth heroine who makes mistakes. Sara meets tons of boys and befriends them without managing not to fall in love or make them all fall in love with her. She doesn't have unrealistic ideas about her abilities and is not too proud to ask for help. Definitely a refreshing read. I look forward to a little love in the second book....

Very good series!. I decided to download this book after reading the reviews. It was out of my normal favorite genre but I had nothing else to read. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Karen Lynch has a smooth writing style with attention to details and character development. This is one of the few books I have been interested enough in to read over and over. The story drew me in to the point I was off to get the next in the sequel and am now impatiently waiting for the third installment, "Rogue".

Plot was good but hated the racist parts. Although the plot was good and I have to admit it, I hated how the author described Middle Eastern in her book. I meant most of the vampires or antagonists were not given any nationality so why does the author have to specifically mention Arabs and not even one or two names. And to top it all, she had make those guys cruel and barbaric which is nothing like real Arabs whom are most kind people of you get to meet them. I was really disappointed especially since I liked the plot and all, but wrong things have to be mentioned and the least the author could do is an apology.

Intense and addictive. I had purchased Relentless, awhile back. It went on to my ever growing TBR pile. But why did I wait so long?! I have no idea. I don’t always make the best decisions. So when I was looking for a new audiobook for my drive. I added the audible. And I’m really glad I did.  This is probably one of the best Paranormal/Urban Fantasies I’ve read/listened to in a really long time. It’s not my usual go to genre, but when it’s done right. It’s the best thing to read! There is so much danger, secrets, and powers throughout this story. There is a mixture of characters, from different walks of life. And there was never a moment, where I got bored or it just felt drawn out.  Sara has been dealing with a lot and at this point in her life. There are surprises around every corner. But one thing for sure she is as stubborn as a mule. She’s really hanging to how her life was prior to all of these things that have come to light. I’m not going to give any of those away.  Because I want you to enjoy this as much as I have.  Relentless is an intense and addictive read. I loved how Caitlin Greer narrated this story. She brought to life, all of these different characters. I felt as if I was there myself. Nothing like listening to an audiobook, and really connecting with the characters of the story.  Overall, Five Boundless Stars. I can’t wait to jump into the next book, Refuge.

LOVE IT!!!. This book is my all time favorite book ever written. I am a fanatic for books especially paranormal romances (I read about four a week) and this one had me flipping pages like no other. I read the book like it was my last day on Earth and if it was my last day on Earth I would want to meet the characters of this book in person. When I read the book it felt like there was a movie in my head and I could easily picture all of the characters. Also their personalities were all so different but the characters were all develped tremendously throughout the entire book. I would say that if you want to be sucked into one of the best books you will ever read then you should read this one, it changes how you think about paranormal romances.

Simply delicious!!!. Who is Karen Lynch? She is the author of a wonderful series starting with Relentless. I probably would not have read Relentless if a friend hadn't recommended it. I don't usually read books with vampires and werewolves. Relentless builds a world with many different creatures (including hell hounds...I want my own hell hounds). I fell in love with the characters and overall I just loves this book and Refuge and cannot wait for Rogue to come out. I already have pre-ordered I copy!

The author lividly tells the tale of a world of demons, vampires, trolls, etc. And it is NOTHING like "Twilight" so please don't judge this book based on "Twilight". It's incredibly well-written, especially considering it's a free book! I still can't believe I was able to snag such a great book without cost. This book has adventure and action, intricately and well mended with themes of self discovery, friendship, and a bit of teenage life. VERY well told, and leaves you on the edge of your seat. READ THIS BOOK. And set aside two days to do it because you won't want to put it down. ;)

I'm in love!!!. I haven't read an amazing book like this one in so long until I read this one. I was so emotionally attached to this book that i was screaming and talking to the characters in the book like they can hear me. That's how I know the book is good. Lol but I already read the whole series and I absolutely loved it. Best series I have read in a long time. Keep up the good work miss lynch. Everyone read this book. It has action and romantic in it. The perfect combo!!!!

A Great Author. Sar's journey throughout this story was amazing and adventurous. The repeatability through the novel to all the characters on some makes a reader feel as if it were real. All the creativity, drama, and emotions worked into this novel has created a story worthy of any age.

Hook, line and sinker!. This book keeps you on your feet, that’s for sure. Fast paced, lots of action and you suddenly find yourself questioning everything and everyone just as her main character, our narator Sara does. I fell in love with the series quickly as it pulled me in.

Best Series!!!. Karen, I've read many books, I couldn't put these down. They are action packed, there isn't a second of boredom reading these. All of the supernatural creatures were amazingly interesting. What you did with Sara's character was just phenomenal! I loved every character in the book, Nikolas was very well thought out also. I can't even compare your books to any other series, they are that good. Keep writing, I can't wait till October I've already pre-ordered!

Top Notch!. Fabulous book! Couldn't put it down. The author writes fantastically, which makes it easy to read. The characters are amazingly written so that you fall in love with every one. It's got an interesting plot and more than enough action to hold my interest. Already read the sequel and am just waiting for the third book in the series to drop. Can't Wait!!!!!

Shook. Ok so I wasn’t planing on making a review but this book is so good I’m shook I just got it for free. I actually love this book so much and that hasn’t happened to me in a while where I fall in love with a book and its series. Recommend this book and the rest of the series. This author is extremely talented and gives you imagery so good, you can practically see what happens as a movie.

Awesome YA book- couldn't put it down!. What an awesome YA book! Every time I read this book, I feel the exact same awe like I did reading it the first time. Excellent story, definitely not a rehash of vampire hunter -type story. The suspense & mystery keep you on the edge, & can't put the book down wanting to know what happens next. Addictive read. Starts off pretty boring but stick with it—I eventually got hooked and stayed up until 4am to finish reading it.

Wow! Amazing!. I haven't read a book like this in a while. I loved the Providence series by Jamie McGuire, if you're not familiar with the series go check it out, I wanted to read something along the line of a different world than a human one. The action was great, a little bit of romance, and hilarious/edgy moments that just keeps you wanting to read more. Great read. I highly recommend it.

Good read!. Started a little slow, but once it got rolling I was hooked. I almost debated on if I was gonna stop reading in the beginning because of how slow it was to pick up and how bratty the main character was being. Loved the book and I will be reading the next one in the series shortly.
