Another winner!. I was amazed how current the plot was compared to current events. I felt like I was reading today's newspaper. I finished the book in on day......something I rarely do. The bad news is have to wait for Mr. Silva's next thriller. BillyBob 74

Heist. Although Silva is my favorite author and having read all his books, the story line is a little weak and somewhat contrived. Not up to his prior books.

Better and better. Most authors lose momentum as they write about one character. Not Daniel Silva, and definitely not Gabriel Allon. This book had me savoring every page, hating for it to end. A plot so intriguing and so very current. One of his best so far!

The Heist. Not as good as his previous works. Cast of characters are repetitive and the plot line was predictable. I felt that he was painting the Heist by the numbers. I think that Silva owes his followers more creativity then he present to us in the Heist. As always, I have enjoyed reading all of Silva's books. I look forward to his next work.

Wonderful, as always. There are several authors for whom I eagerly await their next offering. Now you know one.

The Heist. Great book. Easy to get caught up in the storyline, thus hard to put down. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Convoluted and implausible. The first half of the book really dragged. When the action started to pick up in the second half of the book, the plot became increasingly implausible. The last hundred pages were a confusing whirlwind. It was very hard to keep the characters straight. I read to the end, but I didn’t particularly enjoy the book

The Heist. Daniel Silva. This marvelous tale begins with the brutal murder of a British spy who deals in stolen art masterpieces. The spy, a former British diplomat named Bradshaw had quite possibly been in possession of a stolen masterpiece by of Caravaggio’s masterpiece “nativity wit St. Francis and St. Lawrence missing for decades. What unfolds is a masterfully written tale full of suspense, intrigue and billions of dollars stolen from the Syrian people by their cruel and corrupt leadership. My highest recommendation!! Enjoyed immensely !!

Loved The Heist. Great story with vivid images of beloved cities in Switzerland, France, Italy and more. Gabriel Allon is a character full of compassion as well as brute force when necessary. This is the second Allon book I have read and will not be the last.

Great Story!. I have read all of the sagas of Gabriel Allon and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed the story line and often learn something about the art world. Read this one ... You will enjoy it.

The Heist. Each book gets better. I anxiously await the new book each year. I am never disappointed.

600 Pages then an Ambien. The book was great right until the end. It was as if Silva finally decided he would not end the book with predictable swap of Gabrielle for the woman, then escaping after a beating, but just had no idea how to otherwise end the book. So he just has Gabrielle abandon the whole mission to save the girl, that's it?!? So he cashes in the whole plan and goes home. This is what I was waiting for? The last 100 pages were a complete let down, not just in the outcome but the sheer lack of imagination.

Silva continues his greatness. What an intriguing way to entertwine so many past characters into this masterpiece. Truly my favorite yet...

Gabriel Allon lives on!. Thank you Mr. Silva for another fine entry int he Gabriel Allon series! I love the detail with which you write, and how you mesh history into each story. Keeps me coming back for more. A great read!

Gabriel Allon is back!. Gabriel Allon has more to reveal in this story, though we've seen him many times before.

Stunning.... in its newsworthiness. Delightful in its portrayal of the art world. Intriguing in the world of Israeli/American/British spy triumvirate. Sadness in its mindfulness of Syria/Hama and the death money “games” dictators “play.” Bravo.

The Heist. Like all of Daniel Silva's novels this was a great read, highly recommended, look forward to the next episode of this excellent series
