I loved the story trope and the writing. This story delivers and is a great addition to the Montana Born series set in the fictional town of Marietta, Montana that interweaves the lives of several families through the eyes of several authors.

Sage and Dawson. Five years later can Sage forgive Dawson. Sage now has her chocolate shop in her hometown, content with her life. In walk Dawson, as the new town police officer. They had a fling while in the rodeo circuit. Can they learn to forgive. This is a story of forgiveness and moving forward in life. The characters drew me in immediately. This is a fun quick read with romance , forgivemess and the rodeo.

Promise Me, Cowboy-A Winner!!. Book #3 in the Copper Mountain Rodeo novella series, is another winner! This series has me anticipating every book that comes out. C.J. Carmichael's Marry Me, Cowboy captivated me from the beginning. Backtrack 5 years-Our heroine Sage Carrington(a rodeo barrel racer) had NO idea our hero Dawson O'Dell(a rodeo cowboy) was married when she fell in love with him and made love with him. Right after the fact Dawson's wife walks in and points a shotgun at her, both embarrassing and humiliating Sage flees naked with her clothes in her arms. The next day distracted while competing Sage injures herself and goes back to her hometown Marietta, Montana to live giving up the barrel racing to opening up a chocolate shop. 5 years later Dawson shows up in Marietta, Montana to settle down and reconnect with Sage whom he fell in love with all those years ago. Sage is NOT very forgiving at first but you can't help but to hope it will eventually work out. Dawson is one determined man and throw in a adorable 5 year old Savannah(Dawson's daughter), and a divorce that still isn't final makes a interesting read. You need to read the book to see how this story turns out, you will not be disappointed! All the books in this Copper Mountain Rodeo Series that have been released so far have been a sure hit with me. Must reads by very talented authors! Love and Second Chances. Sage Carrigan stopped competing as a barrel-racer for two reasons. One was a serious leg injury and the other was a broken heart. She returned to Marietta, Montana and became a chocolatier. No one knows that she fell in love with a married man. Now Dawson O'Dell (the man in question) is in town with his five year old daughter, Savannah. He's the new deputy. He plans to stay and to make Sage his wife. Will they be able to find love after so much hurt? CJ Carmichael always delivers a wonderful romantic story. Sage and Dawson are all too human. They have problems, heartbreak and insecurities just like we do. Savannah is a darling child who has grown up too fast and worships her father. The more I learn about Marietta and her people the more I want to know. This novella is easily read in one sitting. Don't miss it!

Boring. Overall, the writing was good, the story was just too short for there to be any real tension. Also, the plot wasn't very believable - spoiler alert - Sage and Dawson meet five years ago, have a few month romance where he never mentions that he's married. Wife walks in and points shotgun. Sage runs away. Five years later Dawson arrives in her small town, with a daughter, says he's moving there. She's mad at first, so he leaves her alone and then Sage works it out that in her head that she loves Dawson and suddenly they are talking marriage. Huh, that's packaged pretty neat. Boring.

5 years later. 5 years ago Dawson fell in love with Sage without even realizing it. He was changing his ways from love 'em and leave 'em to befriend, follow and almost worship. There was only one little problem and she had his ring on her finger. Five years later he's worked hard to make some changes in his life and there's someone else who is going to have a say in his future. Will Sage come back and be a part? Or will the fates not work in Dawson's favor? There is so much that I want to say about this book, but in order to not give much away I will say this, pick it up. Believe me once you do you won't be able to put it down. This is a story of broken trust and forgiveness. Sage's battles are so internalized and Dawson's love so real... CJ Carmichael makes you feel for them both and want nothing but the best for these guys while showing that love may not be perfect, there are definitely bumps but in the end it's all SO worth it.

Promise Me, Cowboy. PROMISE ME, COWBOY (Copper Mountain Rodeo book 3) was amazing! I did not want the book to end. Sage and Dawson were such likable characters and their story is easy to relate to. Their tug-of-wars of emotions, expectations and desires made the book even more enjoyable. I sure hope that there is more to their story in the future from CJ Carmichael.

Ending sucked.. I thought the overall story was good and kept me interested however I wish the series kept on with the same characters or at least have a better ending.

Unfortunately, bronco rider Dawson O'Dell neglected to mention he was married the night he invited her to his bed after they'd both placed first in their rodeo events. When his wife walked in on them - Sage was deeply hurt and humiliated. After an accident in the ring the next day, Sage decides she's quitting the rodeo-and cowboys--to become a chocolatier in her hometown ranching community, Marietta, Montana. She's doing just fine, but then Dawson shows up --five years later, with a little girl in tow. He's here for the Copper Mountain Rodeo hoping to win big. But he's also got plans of settling down with his daughter and buying a house--the very same one that Sage has been dreaming about. He says he's here for her and he's making lots of promises. But can he keep them? I really enjoyed reading Dawson and Sage's story! I loved all the conflicting emotions Sage went through throughout the story trying to cut her connection to one hot cowboy :) If there was one thing I did not like it was that this is a novella, I would have definitely loved reading more about these two. A great, quick afternoon read about forgiveness and following your heart :) Thank you CJ Carmichael!!

A dropped opportunity. The beginning of the story was good, but then the way it ended was rather abrupt. It needed to build to the end.

Sage and Dawson are wonderful!. This is a wonderful story! Sage and Dawson have a history from back when she was a barrel racer on the rodeo circuit. Things ended badly and Sage was left feeling betrayed. Five years later Dawson shows back up with an apology, but will it be enough? I love how Sage has such a strong sense of morals and values and she holds true to them no matter what seems to be thrown at her. Dawson at times comes across a bit egotistical, but yet with a very sweet side. I loved seeing how they interacted considering their history. By the end of the book I was really wanting more. I didn't want the story to end. I would love to keep reading about Sage, Dawson, Savannah, and their families.

A delightful read. Promise Me, Cowboy by CJ Carmichael is the 3rd book in the Copper Mountain Rodeo Series and it is an absolutely delightful read. This is Sage and Dawson’s story. They met on the rodeo circuit 5 years ago and became friends and Sage thought they had shared everything about their lives, but Dawson had failed to mention that he was married! Of course Dawson’s wife shows up at a very inopportune time holding a shotgun. Sage is mortified and humiliated and ends up getting hurt the next day. Sage leaves the rodeo and Dawson behind and opens a chocolate shop in her home town. Dawson shows up in town for the annual rodeo plans to walk right back into Sage’s life and to settle in her hometown. Of course things don’t quite work the way Dawson planned……. Carmichael does a great job of giving us their back story as they are learning to trust and either forgive or move on from each other for good. I wasn’t ready for the story to end. I wanted to get to know the other characters that were introduced and I am hoping that we will get to read more stories involving Sage’s sisters. This is a standalone story, but I think that it is enhanced by the first 2 books in this series and recommend reading all three in order.

Loved this cowboy!. I really enjoyed this story. It was on the sweeter side of the romance continuum, a little less steamy than the prior novellas in the Copper Mountain Rodeo series, but still very good. What I loved most about this story was that it tied in to the first two installments really well. It can be read as a standalone like the other installments; however, it had returning characters that I enjoyed seeing again and gave the series more of a unified feel than the previous two books. Additionally, it introduced some new interesting characters I hope we see in future installments. Overall, I am really enjoying this entire series.

I enjoyed meeting all of Sage’s sisters and I hope to see more of them in future writings. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Dawson at first, but after he gives Sage an explanation of why he hid his marriage from her, I decided he wasn’t a bad guy. I loved the way that Dawson interacted with his mother and daughter and the way that he was so willing to raise his daughter on his own. Promise Me, Cowboy is a great addition to the COPPER MOUNTAIN RODEO series. I loved visiting with characters from the previous novellas and I can’t wait to meet some new ones in upcoming stories. C.J. Carmicheal has done an outstanding job of creating characters that you can relate to and fall in love with. I highly recommend that you download this amazing tale today!

Loved this book!. Promise Me, Cowboy by CJ Carmichael is a wonderful addition to the previous Mountainborn Books novellas. It is a fun, fast read, and a wonderful story of fate, choices made and the consequences that come with them. And as a bonus, this book incorporates the characters from Tempt Me, Cowboy and Marry Me, Cowboy and wraps all the stories neatly together. This was my favorite of the 3 novellas to date. I would highly recommend all of these books.
