The Husband's Secret. Wow!! The characters in the beginning of the book can confuse you, but you will love them. They are funny, sometimes hateful, but interesting. Read this book in two days. Fantastic. Great author.

Unputdownable. Loved this book! I enjoy the author’s unique style. For me, her style of unfolding the characters and their stories is fresh and compelling. There were several clever, laugh out loud moments where her use of words was hilarious. I read it because I enjoyed Big Little Lies on HBO, and wanted to see how one of Liane Moriarty’s books would be. I will be buying her others shortly!

It was just okay. The premise of this novel was highly intriguing, unfortunately, for me, it didn't live up to that. This was my first liane Moriarty book, but I'd been drawn to her work because of how delightfully good the HBO adaptation of Big Little Lies was. So, I came in with high expectations. As I mentioned, the premise had a heck of a hook....wife finds a note husband only intended for her to read when he was dead, but he's still very much alive! To my displeasure the plot didn't focus solely on said husband and wife, there was a lot of jumping around to the point where it was like multiple. mini stories within a bigger story. I generally like that--when every mini story has a purpose/impact on the overall plot. Rachel's story was necessary because she is the only living parent of the dead girl. However, Tess's story left me scratching my head. Like, why did I jus spend hours reading about her when she had nothing to do with the overall plot/premise? Generally, I found much of the story to be a bit dull and pointless. The best part of the book was the end. When the author launches into the "what if's" of the book. I reallllly liked that bit and it made me look at the story a bit differently.

Could not stop!. Literally read from front to back in less than 24 hours. Mind blowing. Emotional but yet addicted to knowing what would happen next. Amazing book that I'll never forget. Now I'm about to start reading the next book "big little lies".

A satisfying read. This is the kind of book that will make you feel things. It's funny, heartbreaking, soothing and it will teach certain things about life that you compelled to learn. Simply unputdownable.

Pretty Good. This book was better than I thought it would be. Very predictable, but still enjoyable. The dialogue was believable and I could buy the way the characters acted and reacted to the events.

Astonishing!. This novel really got me. I purchased shortly after it was released and just got around to finishing. It was borderline for me to get totally hooked into but I couldn't be happier that I did. This was a masterpiece. The epilogue was impeccable. This is a must. You will love every second of it.

Save your time…don’t read. The story reared it’s peak once we found out what was in the letter. It felt like the rest of the book was just a bunch of random run on sentences to fill the chapters. Definitely not worth the read.

Husband Secrets. Sorry this was a mess. Nothing but jumping back and forth with dramatic messes. Didn’t get it. No real resolution really and I personally didn’t enjoy this style of writing.

A decent read. Although the book started off slow it managed to keep my attention throughout. The back and forth at times was a bit confusing but overall it was a decent read. I appreciated the ending, it gave me more to think about.

Can't stop. I saw her books and wanted to read them, my sister watched the big little lies show and then I got addicted! It's so real and emotion from every angle.

Meh.. A friend recommended this book and I was disappointed. The characters felt underdeveloped and shallow and the story lines were predictable. The book really dragged on and I felt there was a lot of unnecessary fluff. I was not satisfied with the ending and I felt that the epilogue was pointless. I would not recommend this read.

Slow beginning. Slow beginning but I was hooked after chapter 7 or 8. Ending very emotional and really makes you think of the secrets we all keep or are kept from us!

Not My Cup of Tea. For me, this book jumped round way too much from one group of characters to another without anything tying together for a very long time and this happened each chapter, making it very hard to keep track of everyone and to follow the storyline. The sheer number of characters made it hard to keep track of who was who. I kept hoping it was going to start tying together and getting better so I stuck it out but I really wish I hadn’t. The ending was an odd wrap up as well.

Skip the last two chapters. This was an excellent book until it randomly for some reason threw out all the fascinating, challenging, and beautiful realities of life to tie a grotesque everyone-must-be-an-undivorced-happily-married-mother bow on the end. I regret reading the whole book.

Disappointed. Each of the characters’ situations seemed to have that one shock moment then just drag on and on..while the author made a connection between the characters with each other, it seemed forced, not a fluid connection between them. I appreciate that the big “secret” came out mid-book and not at the end. This book just didn’t do it for me. This is the 2nd book I’ve read by this author, first was “The Last Anniversary” which I think was a free Prime reading book and I loved it, so I hope I enjoy her other books as well.

Overrated. I bought this book expecting a lot more. It's decent but I think it's highly overrated. I think the author was trying too hard to intertwine the storylines and make them all come together in a dramatic way and spent way too much time on boring details, then the last few chapters crams it all together. Disappointed in this purchase- Gillian Flynns books are a million times better.

Perpetuates damaging views of weight & appearance. An easy read with some suspense because, sure, we all want to know the husband's secret. Not a bad book if you have low expectations, can take things at face value, and just want to kill some time. The characters are simplistic and the plot is based upon ridiculous circumstances that bring these people repeatedly into each other's lives. The real harm, however, comes from the contempt the author displays for an overweight character. Felicity, 40kilos overweight, cannot have a life of her own until she thins down. As a fat person, she is merely a parasite, clinging to her cousin on the sidelines making bitter remarks about others. She must lose weight to become a real person and live her own life. I would hate to see any young woman read this book and absorb the damaging attitudes it conveys towards how a woman should look (not too skinny, not too fat) in order to live a decent life.

Great story!. Just read it. You'll be glad you did.

Amazing Book!!. I was told this was a wonderful read and that this novel would be the monthly read for a book club. I finished the book in three evenings and even brought my iPad to work to read in my free time - it was THAT GOOD!! Perfect not only for light reading but for a book club as well!

Good book but eh ending. This book was a page turner the whole way through which is why I was disappointed with how the ending came together. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad ending necessarily... Just eh. Make sure you check out Moriarty's latest one, Big Little Lies. It's phenomenal!!

What a great read!. I loved this book! I could not put it down....it is remarkable how the author was able to weave the lives of three seemingly unrelated families into such a well connected story. If you start this book, be prepared to stay up late finishing it!

Made a Lasting Impression on Me. The book was sad but a great book to read....sad towards the end. The writing was great. I wished things had turned out differently for Connor and Tess (that's all I will say, I don't want to give a spoiler alert) She should have tried to make a life with him..okay I had to say that part. The book is deep. I haven't read anything like this book in a while..the way the characters are interwoven was exceptional and the writing was great. I felt like crying at the end. A book that will stay with me.

I literally had a thought 5 times, that the letter would be from the husband (and he did something terribly wrong) based on the intro to the book. And as chapter after chapter went by, I found reasons to support my claims. However, the appeal to this read is that the author paints a realistic picture of real life so captivating that I looked twice at the "rubbermaid" containers in my basement. Overall great read for the new soccer Mom!

End took a dive. I really enjoyed about 75% of this book and have enjoyed others of hers! but the ending just killed it for me. It felt like a complete cop out cleaning up all the story lines nice and neat rather than at least one of them ending realistically. Wasn't a complete loss to read it, but I was expecting more.

Couldn't put this down!. This book is haunting. It tells the story of the lives of 3 women and how their lives intersect. Intriguing.

Melodramatic start, but..... Almost put this book down without finishing, as the beginning was a bit like a soap opera - definitely not my style. Persevered because I was reading it for book club and another member told me she nearly gave up, but ended up liking the book. Glad I stuck with it. Everything changes with the letter, and the story is then well worth finishing.

It was just okay. This was a quick read and just okay. Sometimes it was entertaining and other times I found it boring. I jumped on the band wagon and read it but honestly, there are much better novels out there.
