Code Red by Vince Flynn & Kyle Mills

Code Red by Vince Flynn & Kyle Mills Book Summary

Mitch Rapp makes a mortal enemy of Russia in this high-octane and “ripped straight from next week’s headlines” (The Real Book Spy) installment in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.

Mitch Rapp hates owing anyone a favor—especially when it’s the world’s most powerful crime lord. But when Damian Losa calls, Mitch is honor bound to answer.

The Syrian government has created a highly addictive new narcotic that it plans to distribute throughout Europe. It’s a major threat to Losa’s business and he’s determined to stop it by any means necessary. Rapp is the perfect choice for the mission. Not only does he have extensive experience operating in the Middle East, but he’s also entirely expendable.

As he crosses into war-torn Syria, Rapp quickly discovers a shocking truth. The new drug isn’t being produced by Damascus to prop up the government’s collapsing finances. Instead, it was created by Russia’s asymmetrical warfare unit as a weapon against the West.

With far more than Damian Losa’s interests at stake, Rapp devises a desperate plan that forces him and his team onto a battlefield where the United States is virtually powerless, and allegiances shift almost hourly. Further, if Russia uncovers their plot, it will set off a confrontation between the two countries that could change the course of history in this “bullet train to high adventure” (Townhall).

Spy Life

Felt off…. Been an avid Mitch Rapp before Flynn had him in his books. Love this series. This boom wasn’t bad but I felt Rapp crossed a line in this book that he never has before and based off who he was wouldn’t. I did love the ending. The scenes described were incredible I the big fight scene. But the story just felt off.

Decent read. Typical Mitch, but a good story

TJ 0303

Code Red. This was as usual a great read and a great final turn by Kyle as the pinch hitter for Vince. I hope he continues with writing more thrillers, maybe another Mark Beamon story.

GiGi V.

Meh. This book was ok. That’s as far as I’ll go.

Classic Rapp. Good read while on a flight

Every bad nickname taken

Great as always.. Fantastic!

Code Red. As much as I have enjoyed reading the Mitch Rapp series, the story line has been getting thin in the last few books. Maybe it is time to center a series on one Mitch’s protégés. Or retire him altogether. Or maybe focus on Irene Kennedy.

Mirage Flyer

Loved it. Outstanding read.

Mitch Rapp uncovers a new global threat. I had the privilege of once again being an Ambassador for this latest installment in the Mitch Rapp Series, and recently finished my advanced reading copy of ‘Code Red’. This is a fantastic addition to the Mitch Rapp series and another edge-of-your-seat thriller by Kyle Mills. Mitch Rapp owes a favor to Damian Losa, one of the world’s most powerful drug/crime lords. When Losa learns that Syria appears to have created a new and highly addictive new drug that could impact his business, Losa calls in his favor and has Rapp travel to the Middle East on his behalf to learn more. Rapp is the perfect choice due to his experience and more importantly because he is expendable. Once Rapp enters the Middle East and learns more, he discovers that the Syrian government isn’t behind the new drug at all, but rather it is created by the Russians — and not as a tool for profit but as a weapon. Rapp races against time to stop this new threat while trying to balance a thin line that could propel the US and Russia into a deadly conflict. This was a bittersweet read as it is the last that Kyle Mills is writing for the series, but I am confident he is leaving it in good hands. If you're a Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp fan you will love this book, and if you’re not…what are you waiting for? Kyle Mills has done a fantastic job yet again and I highly recommend this book to anyone. #MitchRappIsBack #CodeRed

Code Red. Of all the stories Kyle Mills has authored under Vince Flynn, this is the weakest. Boring story, little action, poor character development, etc., not to mention believability. If you must buy this one, find it used at a garage sale.

Pass on this one.. Disappointing. I had a hard time finishing this one. First time I’ve felt this way after reading every book of his in order.

Outstanding as always. Never disappointed

Fantastic. I wish people could see what you try to convey, thank you

Simply the best. There is only one Mitch Rapp!

Topgun - Maverick

Quick. Liked it, quick and easy reading

Rapp is as slick as ever!. Mitch Rapp is back and is an unstoppable force. Enjoyed the read and couldn’t put it down

JPB 9871

Code Red. I love the Mitch Rapp books and this one is particularly good!

Nike Athlete

Not good. Kyle Mills phoned this one in. Supposedly this is the last one of Mitch Rapp that he is writing. And it’s very obvious. Mitch should have taken the drug. It would have been interesting to see what happened. He lets Losa get away. It’s just bad. It’s not even worth the three stars.

Jared Bays

Outstanding. One of, if not the best yet. Kyle Mills has done an amazing job taking over the Mitch Rapp franchise and completely embodies the character as good as anyone could.

J gogoga

Solid as usual.. Decent enough. Not great but certainly not bad either… easy light read

Read alot Kelley

Exciting fast story. There’s no wasted, flowery language in Mills’ writing. His words carry meaning. As a result, the timely believable storyline progresses at a good pace and action is always near. My kinda read.

Usmc 2531

Old marine 2531. These guys never disappoint, keep them coming

Riveting !. I’ve read every one of the Mitch Rapp and Code Red is definitely one of the best.

Appropriate. thoroughly enjoyable, can’t wait for the next one.

Code Red. Loved the book. A real page Turner!

A good read. Well written with interesting and regular surprises. Easily keeps your attention. I’ll read another Mitch Rapp book as soon as I can. It is quite intense.

Great finale. Mitch Rapp you will be missed.

Great read. I've read all the Mitch Rapp books before this and loved them all. It's been a while since I read the last one, but I was thoroughly immersed in this one too. Ghost written well and a great read.

No.. Vince Flynn would turn over in his grave. Not a good read. AND it’s easy to tell that it was ghost written. It was a mistake to purchase it.

Phantom2 Mick

A very timely and contemporary tale. Code Red is another great read that feels like it was torn from the current headlines.

Another great Mitch Rapp adventure!. Kyle Mills has done such an excellent job continuing this great literary series. What a daunting task it must’ve been to step up and write in place of the great Vince Flynn! Nevertheless, he stepped up and did so in excellent fashion. What a great finish to an impressive run. Thank you, Kyle!

This is a review. This is a Bad review

Tuckaseegee Fly Fishing Guide

Typical Flynn. Pages flew by

Over too soon!. Great Read!

Wet again

Code Red. Vince Flynn. Mitch Rapp is a highly skilled killer, assasin. His loyalty to the United Stares is beyond question. A true patriot.Rapp has to return a favor to a billionaire Mexican drug dealer to wipe his slate clean but the drug dealer sets him up. As far as Mitch is concerned his debt has been honored. What ensues is a nonstop read of action, betrayal and Rapps handling of the situation with the honor he always displays!! Enjoyed immensely!! My highest recommendation!!

Pass. Book felt and read like it was rushed. Not the authors’ best work. Disappointed I spent so much money on it

Enjoyed like always. This was a different type of mission for Mitch Rapp but it was good. Not as much action as I am normally used to but it had me wondering where it could go from here. Is this the end of Mitch Rapp?

Okay. I expected mawkish ending with all loose ends tied up. Glad some were left dangling.

The Hok

Thru Kyle’s work Vince is still alive. I have been a dye hard fan of Vince for years. Reading all his books I have decided he was my favorite author. The work that Kyle has done picking up Vince’s work of Mitch’s saga has amazed me. I cannot wait for the next novel. Please keep Rapp going. BRAVO!!!!!
