4-4.5 Stars!. 4-4.5 Stars! Cute, quick read! I really enjoyed reading this one. This was the first book in the ‘Scandalous Brides’ series and can be read as a standalone. This was my first time reading this author but I’ll definitely be checking out her other works. The beginning is a bit unbelievable but maybe women really did stuff like this way back then, who knows. Desperate times and all that. I loved the main characters, Amity & Roman, they were easily lovable and I was rooting for them to get their HEA ending. The ‘sexy times’ scenes were the perfect amount of heat and details, in my opinion. Truly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend checking it out. *I received this at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*
Love it! Fantastic read!. Fantastic start to a new series. Fast paced read, wonderful characters and leaves you wanting more! Amity Is desperate, her overbearing brother is forcing her to marry. She has no choice but to plan her ruin. Of course if she goes that route she wants the best Rake to do it, plus Roman being her brother’s sworn enemy is a bonus. Roman hates George since he stole the love of his life and when Amity proposes to have her be ruined by his hands, he can’t resist the revenge on George. And then Amity disappears and Roman can’t stop thinking of her or their moments of passion. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. Revenge, Ruin, Romance. He wants revenge on her brother. Amity wants out of an unsavory arranged marriage. Ruin is her answer, and Roman is the means. Amity and Roman meant to spend a brief time in a dark closet and accomplish her ruination, then they would go their separate ways. That would work if they could stop thinking about each other. The first book in the Scandalous Brides series is fast paced, steamy, and quite entertaining. There is humor, passion, revenge, a horrible brother (the villain), romance, a wonderful couple, a scheming cousin (in a good way), and a happy ending. An enjoyable story and a great start for the series. I received an ARC of this book via BookSprout and am voluntarily reviewing it.
