Loving the Marquess. A good read for isolation, especially during the stay at home order. Escapism to a different time and different social mores helps one to forget the dangers we currently face outside our homes. The story of Nicholas and Louisa’s love and difficulties makes one envy the simpler life and problems associated with poisonings and murder within a manor home and greedy family members who covet title and riches. I do recommend this book for medicinal purposes. I know I feel more relaxed after whiling away the time isolated inside reading it!

Interesting story. I enjoyed your book, I love the stories from the past, I am almost 80 now and remember a lot. Mostly it is from reading .i met my husband in '56 and it was love at first sight too. I lost him in '14 after 57 years of marriage. Thank you for a clean romance story.

Loved the book...just a little disappointed!. Was sad that there was nothing mentioned about the characters from Dancing with the Duke since that book included the Marquess and the Earl in it.

Loved it!. Great read and couldn’t put the book down. Just a few minor errors that confused me and some repetitiveness and minor errors. I really do like this author.

Good mystery & romance combination!. The storyline was well-written, despite the plot being somewhat simple to figure out—there were a few twists that I didn’t expect! The characters developed nicely for being a somewhat shorter book, and the love that developed between them was palpable. I was equally interested in the secondary characters’ stories, and the author did well to keep the interest on the main characters while piquing a desire to learn more about the secondary’s background plot developments in a book of their own. As for the romance, there were a couple of passionate embraces and a few sexual scenes—something that I do wish I knew ahead of time as I usually lean more toward “clean” romances with more implicit than explicit writing. I really appreciate when authors choose to disclose the level or rating of “heat” in the descriptions of their books—but I often rely on the reviews of others if not, and let me say, to the saucy 80 yr old lady who labeled this a clean love story—you and me have different ideas of “clean” but I had a good laugh about it. Kudos to you, ma’am! :)

Strong willed innocence. Louisa is so strong and caring. Really funny moments. Grandma was delightful. Interesting twist. Reinforces not to be a martyr. Definitely read.

Sweet love story !!. I loved the way Nicholas and Louisa fall in love.He needs a wife and heir , Louisa and her family have fallen on hard times , Nicholas is found almost unconscious at her doorstep she helps him recover and he is indebted to her, seeing that she is a tenant to the Marquess of Overlea , she needs help with her late father's debts and he has a plan . She's the perfect candidate for a wife. He gets his best friend to agree to father a child with his new wife , because he believes he has the same sickness as his late father and older brother until he realize that he was really loves his wife, will he take a chance and believe that love conquers all . This was a really great story Suzanna Medeiros is a very talented author she really pulls you in to the characters lives beautifully written stories!!!

The storyline wasn’t unique or surprising, but it was an enjoyable story and nicely written. Nicholas becomes the Marquess after his father then brother dies of a mysterious illness. Now Nicholas himself is showing symptoms. So he marries Louisa, impoverished but genteel, whose father lost their manor and lands and holdings in a drunken card game to Nicholas’ evil jealous uncle...

Time. What a beautiful story of Nicolas and Louisa. I felt I was with them in the time and place. An intriguing ending.

Good idea for a storyline but rushed delivery. The writing improved in the second half of the novel but there was an over-reliance on coincidental events to progress the story.
