Good Intrigue. This is a good book. Can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

Great storyline. Fun story of mystery, suspense, and romance. You get hooked with this one and want to read all the Keeneston stories and eventually you are convinced you want to move there on to realize it's fictional.

Bluegrass state of mind. I finished this book because the storyline it self had promise. However, it dragged on and on. It was sooo cheesy it made me laugh. Won't be reading the other books. This prob won't make printed reviews. Ha

Bluegrass State of Mind. I downloaded this book because of the good reviews it had. I'm so glad I did!! However, I was a little frustrated with the writing at times. The repetition and over use of some words and names was irritating and the way she wrote about the horses bothered me. I have worked with horses for over 15 years and they do not act the way she says they do. At any rate, it was still an excellent read and I highly recommend it for anyone, country person or not!

Blue Grass books. Love all the books good clean suspense

Blue grass state of mind. Simple with just enough twists to stay interesting not sure if I will continue the story's.

Good story but..... For me the storyline was good and there were fun characters but I didn't care for the holes in the way it was written. It really bounced from place to place without any explanation in between. I had to backtrack to the last paragraph too often to figure out what I missed and then was irritated when I would realize it was the way it was written and not that I skipped anything.

Bluegrass State of Mind. Engaging, easy read. Good plot. And best of all the location is in my neck of the woods! I love being able to connect with my Bluegrass State! But I already had Danielle connecting with Mo for marriage. Maybe that happens in the next installment?

Would not recommend. This book was very boring and I didn't really get to know the characters at all. The plot was dull and there was hardly any climax. Felt more like something written in high school for a class.

One star.... ... was the lowest possible rating I could give this book. I will admit I didn't finish reading the story because of the numerous grammatical errors, not to mention the weak set-up and name dropping.

Splendid. Enjoyed this book very much. I love this author’s writing style and the fact that there isn’t any raunchy explicit sex in it. It’s a perfect reading without all that!

Good Story. I liked the story. It had more background and description than anyone really needs, and some the the scenes were a bit unbelievable, but still...... Not to shabby! If the author threw in a sexy love scene here or there, she probably would have had another star added to the rating scale.

Southern charm overload. "Bluegrass State of Mind" started off with a bang fell in the middle and picked up at the end. The welcoming of Kenna Mason was believable I have family from the south, however, I did not like Kenna more than once the author made a point to say how she hated being kept in the dark yet she has this huge thing she's running from and doesn't share until confronted with it. I loved the trio of sisters and the rest of the cast. I despise the ending seriously Dani shows up and that's the end, I'm all for selling books but that sucked! I would give it 3.5 stars and even with the faults still recommend it.

Plot equally as one dimensional as the characters.. I started reading this because this was something I read a long time ago in the middle of my preteen years. I remembered my admiration for Kenna and my day dreams about meeting a man like Will and living on a ranch in a small town one day. Years later, however, I read this and see everything my prepubescent self didn’t see. I see Kenna, a perfect woman with perfect looks with a perfect personality and the love of everyone in town. I see an unrealistic venue in which a Saudi with no real personality for some reason chose to stay in a small town. Most importantly, I see unrealistic projections of romance and sentences as complex as Kenna’s one dimensional personality. In my opinion, this book was written with absolutely no attention to detail and completely insults the reader’s intelligence. How is it that after meeting a guy for the first time in 17 years, after almost being raped, having your life threatened by a man you loved, and knowing that you’re a witness to such a horrible crime, you suddenly fall in love after, what, one week? I love cliche romances. I’m a firm believer that cliches are cliches for a reason and that’s because they work. However, this book definitely needs improvement in the development of its characters, the realistic setting, the overall plot and the fact that any tension in the story relies on an unrealistically crazy and non-relatable villain, and finally, the overall pacing of the book itself. While I would spend an hour giving a step by step analysis on this entire book, unfortunately rating this book isn’t at the top of my priorities. I do, however, wish the author well and hope that she’s come a long way since this book. To sum up my feelings, this book was an eye sore and a completely disappointing read. Thank you.

Thank GOD she finally got an editor.... I’ve read all of Kathleen Brooks Keeneston novels, starting with this one. When I first read it, it was so much work - the plot skipped all over the place, the narrator switched repeatedly from first to third person, and from one character to another with no warning. I wanted to keep going because I liked the story, but I nearly gave up because the writing itself was so convoluted. I’m glad I stuck it out, because the series gets better as it goes along. Now, a couple of years later, the book has been revised and edited so that it’s finally put together the way it should be. Kathleen Brooks is a great, if fanciful, storyteller, and this is where it all began.

Loved it!. Loved the book! Loved the series! Loved the spin off Bluegrass Brothers series! Can't wait for the next generation! Kathleen Brooks makes you feel like you're just as much a part of Keeneston, KY as Old Man Tabby and his pig! So download the book, enjoy a tall glass of the Rose Sister's special iced tea and be taken away to the blue grass of Kentucky, where the cowboys are hot, the ladies are strong and the town is hilarious!

Bad crime book. I was going to write a review about what I didn't like about this book. But I'm just tired off it. Too long and it keeps giving you hope that something good was good to happen but nothing. Not sure what so many good reviews.

Good book. I really liked the story in this ebook. My suggestion to the writer would be to limit the use of the word "massive", you had me rolling my eyes at the third time it was used in the same paragraph. Also, it was distracting to keep reading the words "I am" an "I will" instead of "I'm"and "I'll". There are quite a few typos as well. Other than this, it was very well written.

I feel like I'm actually the person because you express their emotions and facial expressions. Great romance suspense. Really enjoyed this romance suspense based in a small country town in Kentucky. Kenna has run from her life in New York after witnessing a disturbing incident and beating threatened. The town has some real characters and everyone rallies around Kenna to help her out. She meets up with old flame Will and makes friends with a Prince. Great light hearted read with some suspense.

Excellent. Loved this book. Great characters and storyline. Can't wait to read the next in series.

Great read. I loved this book. Such an easy ready that draws you into the story line.

An Easy read. Started off with a great premise, but as the story unfolded it lost its impetus and lacked oomph. Yes it is an easy read. Plausibility has me wondering though if you wanted to hide from powerful men and cover your tracks why in the hell would you attend Derby Day in Kentucky with all the red carpet fanfare, defies logic! Yes I know keep your friends close and enemies closer, even so the story had its entertaining moments, could have been done better. Nothing there to tax the grey matter.

I’ve been addicted to all of kathleens’ books since I started this one , at the minute I have 23 of her books and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve read many of them multiple times , it has everything from action to comedy and romance . This series and the next would make a wonderful television series that I’m sure would be as loved as her books . She has had me in tears and laughing out loud so many times , can’t wait to continue with the other books I’ve not added yet xxx

Very disappointing!. I'm sorry. I hate giving negative reviews, but after hearing people harp on about this series I was so disappointed. There was far too much detail in my opinion. Every single item of clothing the characters wore was described to a fault. From designer name, colour, fabric etc. with matching shoes. Every room, every landscape, every house and every character, was described fully. I had to skip through those parts as I was really getting bored. When it came to the potentially hot parts, it skipped through them to the next day or whenever. It's a shame cos the storyline itself was a good one. I've read the descriptions of the following books in the series and they sound far too much like this one. I won't be buying anymore. Sorry.

Fabulous. Loved it ! It had it all suspense romance plenty of humour can't wait to read the next two books of the series. Only one fault was the poor editing but soon forgotten as the story was fabulously written

I ain't really much of a book lover but I got hooked and I couldn't seem to put it down I just, had to find out what was gonna happen next I only started this book Thursday afternoon and I have 3 kids and I have still managed to finish the book and I am about to start the second and I hope to god it is as intense as some of the scene's in this great book, it normally takes me over a month to get through 1 chapter xx

Wonderful!. Worth paying for. Which as a student is the highest commendation I can think of. I loved it so much I went out and bought the for the second and then the third book in the series. Keep going you will enjoy these characters. They are smart without being superior, and wholesome without being patronizing. Best of all, the author has crafted real chemistry between the protagonists of each book.

McKenna, a high power NY attorney must flee the city after discovering some damaging evidense against her boyfriend and many of NY's high powered attornys and politicians. she wants to become the assistant District Attorney in small town Keeneston KY and hopes a friend from her youth, Will Ashton can help her. The quirky personalities in this town will have you laughing out loud. I cannot stress how much i loved this book. I fell in love with each any every charachter in the town. Kathleen has followed with a wole series of books and I have loved each and every one!
