#1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor returns with his hottest and most action-packed thriller yet!

The most secretive organization in America operates without accountability to the American people. Hiding in the shadows, pretending to be part of the United States Government, its power is beyond measure.

Control of this organization has just been lost and the future of the nation has been thrust into peril.

When the five candidates being considered to head this mysterious agency suddenly go missing, covert counter-terrorism operative, Scot Harvath is summoned to Washington and set loose on the most dangerous chase ever to play out on American soil.

But as the candidates begin turning up murdered, the chase becomes an all-too-public spectacle with every indicator suggesting that the plot has its roots in a shadowy American cabal founded in the 1700s.

With the United States on the verge of collapse, Harvath must untangle a web of conspiracy centuries in the making and head off the greatest threat America has ever seen.

This is thriller writing at its absolute best where the stakes have never been higher, nor the line between good and evil so hard to discern.

Inordinate regards for a financial crash. It's a great read, surely. The ending, though, seems entirely presumptuous. No sane President would accept a financial collapse as being anything like what his nation needs. Perhaps this tale is just the first part of a trilogy? Maybe not, in that the writer appears to have no memory of our Great Depression. An old advisor suggested I would find Washington being a crazy place. Well, real crazy, apparently.

Scea95

Not his best. More murder mystery than action plucked from the headlines of the future. Truthfully felt like Thor was channeling Dan Brown. Full Black is still his best work and I hope he goes back to that formula. Final comment, the book seemed short? Maybe because of the lengths of recents reads, not a criticism just my own perception.

Excellent read!. Great story! Less "action" than previous novels but keeps you going all the way through and the intensity keeps building to the end. Best Scot Harvath read so far. The only caveat is it leaves lots of "faction" to investigate after you read. If you're a Brad Thor fan you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Hidden Order. Mr Thor's writing is second to none! A writing style as refreshing and clean as a morning spring shower! Fast paced and iron clad as a high speed train. Bravo Mr Thor!

LyraHarper

Hidden Order. The book was a slow read. The story had no tingle. There was no tension and lost interest. The book will not be a Xmas pressent.

Black List. Great

Killer Action (spoilers). This one had an intense sequences of action throughout especially when Betsy had the suicide vest on. I was at the edge of my seat with that one! I did feel like the secondary storyline with Ryan and McGee was not necessary and it would have been a lot smoother with just Harvath’s story with Cordero. I did not at all suspect Sal being the antagonist either so that part was very well hidden. I would have liked more of a dialogue with him and he would have definitely been hidden BTS even better. I started to suspect him being the bad guy when he just disappeared for a few chapters and didn’t reappear until the murders took place. If that were a movie, it would’ve been a dead giveaway. But in a novel format it fit well together. The story was great and I loved the history in this one, just wished it had been focused more on Harvath’s story and not on Ryan as much. I believe Thor could have tied Durkin in a different way that would give his story up as the overall antagonist, but it is what it is and it worked out fine. Great one Thor!

Hidden Order. Thor's previous books have been 4-5's. This one is just terrible.

Great book. Recommended! SW

Amazing read that kept me captivated.. Hidden Order was my first read by author Brad Thor. To be honest with you I stumbled upon his name and his novels on iBooks. I am so glad I did. This was a thoroughly engrossing read that I had tremendous difficulty each evening putting it down to go to bed because I could not wait to read the next chapter. Well written, with excellent dialogue and intriguing characters. I am now a fan and am looking forward to my next Brad Thor novel. I read a variety of subject matter and once I find an author who captivates me I want to read more from that novelist. Check out Brad Thor. You will not be disappointed.

Chano a Child of the Sun

Hidden Order. Brad weaves this masterpiece with the skill and patience of a master carpet weaver. Each strand moving to and fro strengthening the story and moves the plot in many directions. After many strands two major patterns reveal themselves into a myriad of complimentary colors that ultimately focus the reader on the tapestry Brad weaves. Thank you for the magic carpet ride.

Muzicmiester

Ghostwritten?. Just doesn't read and flow like typical Thor. He was either in a hurry, got bored or his wife wrote it. Hard slog of a read. Flynn and Coes are so much better now.

Hidden order. Great book!

Another bore. I am a real fan of this genre of fiction and particularly enjoy authors like Vince Flynn. I always get intrigued by the plot line for the Brad Thor novels and this is the 3rd (and last book) of his that I have purchased. I should have learned from the last 2 when I was too bored to finish. Although the plots are interesting I find the characters to be flat and of little interest. Most of the detail in the book seems to describe what the reader should already understand. Instead of telling the story of how characters get out of impossible situations he glosses over any details and spends time describing how cool or intelligent the characters are. Instead of a story that pulls you in and connect with characters by what they do, you get no story and a description of characters. It makes for a very boring read. You keep hoping for story lines that bring the characters to life but you are always disappointed. It is like he has the outline of a book (plot and characters) but has know story details.

One of Thor's weaker efforts. Not a bad book......just not up to his usual standards. I missed the action that usually accompanies a Horvath book.

Papajoe0595

Hidden Order. Would have been a good read if he had left the right wing propaganda out.

Rilop

First Brad Thor book read. Easy, entertaining book.

One Night Read. I'm not certain why some reviewers gave this work a neutral rating as it is one of Brad's best. Very well-researched history woven into a great story told by the incomparable story-teller. My son works for the Federal Reserve Bank and I will henceforth be very suspicious of him, not to mention his employer.

LC Moose

Boston. Enjoyed the historical aspects.

Don McDonald

Hidden Order. Not nearly up to Thor's usual abilities. It was like he put a bunch of words together to just meet a deadline. Wasted effort.

Like a Dan Brown novel after a Glenn Beck indoctrination. This is not like any previous Brad Thor novel. It reads very much like a Dan Brown novel, taking place in libraries and laden with page after page of exposition. The exposition is heavily skewed toward educating you about the 'evil' Federal Reserve Bank, so if you're not a Glenn Beck listener you may never finish the book. If you do, you'll have finished what is easily the biggest derailment of an action-adventure genre character. I would be unsurprised to see this as a made-for-The Blaze TV movie. It would rival Sharknado.

Armando4821

Mr. Armando Aulet. Thank you for this book, it has been one of the best I have read. I was not born in this country but I feel like an American,I'm great full that there are still great patriots defending this great country with there pen THANK YOU

FatalBeauty2100

Wow!. Okay .. Super exciting book! But, is this book a preview of what's to come? Just like the NSA mention in black list? If so .. We're screwed!

Dull detective novel. "Hidden Order" is a loser. Simply put, it is not a very good book. It contains two separate, albeit parallel, stories that aren't linked until too late in the book, and by then the linkage is haphazard and contrived. The action "ending" is rushed and the actual ending on the beach is obvious from the get-go. The novel is more a detective story than the promised "thriller," which is the word used to describe it on the dust jacket. Some of the Boston scenes seemed rushed into print as if author Thor was trapped by recent events in that city. The book has an overall hurried feel to it. The Ryan - Durkin pages are flat and lifeless. They come across as standard material. Very unimaginative. As generic and dull as the book is, what's worse is the writing of it. It is lazily written, clunky, and you have to wonder if the publisher has any copy editors on its staff. There are myriad grammatical errors, punctuation errors, and words placed in the wrong place. Once sentence even has an extra word in it that ruins the sentence and should have been caught. Thor separates verb phrases by splitting two words needed to complete a verb and sticking an adjective phrase between the words. For example, you don't take the well-armed enemy down. You take down the well-armed enemy. I hope you noticed that I used the word "myriad" in the above paragraph, and that I used it correctly. Thor has no clue as to how to use the word myriad. He thinks using it makes him seem smart. However, he misuses myriad. Repeatedly. It is never MYRIAD OF, as Thor writes. It's just MYRIAD. The word myriad already implies "of." This means you never write "myriad of." You simply write "myriad." Myriad clues. Myriad files. Myriad ideas. Myriad weapons. Myriad hiding places. Thor needs to get back to basics. He needs to re-learn how to write and think expressively. His characterizations in this novel are thin. I wish I could get back my money. This novel is a major disappointment.

Good not great just like the last book.. Mr. Thor is still a great author but his last two books have really been pretty far out as far as conspiracy theories are concerned. Not quite "tin foil hat" territory but close. I hope his next book gets back to Middle Eastern terrorism.

Hidden Order. I was an absolute addict of all Vince Flynn's novels and after his death I was devastated and floundering in confusion as to how I was going to substitute my reading. A brother recommended Brad Thor. After reading Hidden Order I am hooked again. Thank you!

Cbmpi

Outstanding!. I've read every book Brad's written, usually as soon as they are released. I kept this one for a long trip to China. The book did not disappoint at all, in fact it may be the best of all. Once again the story is "not fact per se, but sure could be" ripped from the headlines current. A few new characters very well developed and a couple of twists that grab you in the gut. Overall great read and very satisfying. Thank you again, Brad, for keeping us fans well fed!

Clearwaterdreamer

Great book. Well researched. This was a thriller thar hits too close to home. All though some will not accept it, almost everything in here was historically accurate. I know it is fiction but this could very easily be a true story.

US Marine Doc

Great book as usual. Thor has written another great book in the Harveth series. Can't wait for the next one.

Super Clock

Hidden Order. Outstanding novel. Face paced, historically correct. Kept the reader from putting the book down. Looking forward to Thor's new novel.

TimB55

Absolutely Amazing!. This has to be the best Harvath book yet, and that's saying something. Great job yet again Brad, but lets get 2 books this year!

Darlenedean

Hidden Order. I am new to Brad Thor writing. He did not disappoint me. It is also not often I have the luxury to read for the enjoyment of it. It did not take me long to read Hidden Order after it was published. Very interesting, and edge of your seat excitement. I'll be ordering another of Mr. Thor's books.

Jcole1020

Omg. I read this book while being discharged from the army. At first I was only trying to pass time but by page 2 I was hooked. This book made me a reader and all of the thriller books are amazing

JCalfee

Hidden Order. Fun read. Interesting historical information concerning the Fed.

Jimp44

A fan since book one. But, i have to say, this, in my opinion, is definately the best work yet. The drawing out of characters, the suspense lines, the depth of the action are all well done. On average, I read forty or so books a year. This, is one of my favorites in a long time! Well done!

RealLiveMusic

Subpar. Have read all the books in this series, and this one really doesn't fit the others. A little slow, kind of short....just not a very satisfying read. Love the others (mostly) but you aren't missing anything if you skip this one.

Twinepoo

OMG! It's incredible!. I just finished Hidden Order...and I'm still stunned at where Brad Thor goes with his plots! I felt like I was getting a history lesson along with an awesome suspense storyline! I love his books and will eagerly await the next Scot Harvath book. Thank you, Brad Thor!

Hello Nfl

Not very Harvath-like. Seemed more like a Robert Langdon or an Alex Cross novel; worst out of the 13 books.

Ghostrover78

Hidden Order. From The Lions of Lucerne to Hidden Order Brad has not disappointed. Great read, could not put down

CareerMoves

Intertwined plot lines. Great job of connecting the plot lines.

WebGear2

Hidden Order. Do not read.

Nike Athlete

Good Novel.. I liked this. Did Thor write this? It does not seem like him and a previous reviewer mentioned the same thing. The only issue is we “wrap it up” in a few pages near the end. That’s what I get mad at. It’s a good story but there are parts that need to be fleshed out more. It can be longer. We are okay with that.

Coop03842

Another Winners. A different story line than his previous books but just as thrilling. Unfortunately this story sounds plausible and could possibly be an outline for future historical events effecting our constitutional rights to freedom.

Skunkamaug

Hidden Order. Actually able to put this book down. At times I wondered if Brad Thor actually wrote this Novel. Unlike his previous master pieces there were far too many gaps and unanswered questions and way too much Mr Softy from our hero. Harvath has always been a Mitch Rapp type guy but it appears I've lost them both. Sad !!

ABCFOXguy

Keeps you interested!. The web that weaves its way through this book keeps you interested. I'm a busy person so my reading time is limited. For me, a book must keep me interested if I am going to commit to the read. Great book!

Schoney62

Least favorite. Very let down. More Harry Bosch then Scott Harvath.

Didn't meet expectations. I was looking forward to this one & was disappointed. It seemed out of character with previous books & especially seemed rushed at the end, like there was a deadline to meet & not enough time to finish the final chapters. The reveal of the main villain was just bizarre. Whats really disappointing is that the premise of an out-of-control federal government is a really rich topic. This could have been so much better. Not sure if I'll Pre-order the next one.

Can't wait for the next book!. I have read all the books that Brad Thor has written. They are absolutely spellbinding. I can' wait for the next one to be written. Keep up the good work!

GMENROCK

Great book. Yes it's a bit different than the others but I liked it. I don't know how the whole Lara hung will turn out but I'm looking forward to the next book.

Captivating. Only Brad Thor can involve a reader in the events, not just a story, but the events. It's as if you are a fly on the wall in every event in the book. I can't wait for the next one. H. Richarz (Canada)

Jakemister_ca

Usual rubbish. I have finally reached my limit with this authors’ abysmal story lines, repetitive narratives and Hollywood depictions of conflict. Hints to Mr. Thor. Armed conflict is NOT now and NEVER has been accurately represented by John Wayne, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis et al , armed solely with a pea shooter, defeating hundreds of highly trained and equipped combatants. You lose total credibility by continuing the narrative that only visually stunning, sexy women have brains. You continue to lose credibility by repeatedly inferring said women can defeat, using solely their thumbs, a 6’-10”, 250lb soldier armed with an Uzi. And for your further education your description of the Hegelian Dialectic is so patently ludicrous and inaccurate that it is disgusting that not one of your editors picked it up. Novels? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Hollywood “B” class scripts at best.

Hidden Order was another great story.. I have already read and enjoyed all your other books, so when will you publish the next one?

Ericandi

Probably my least favorite Thor book. I have read every Thor book and I'm not sure exactly why, but this Thor book didn't live up to my expectation and was not up to par compared to his previous books. It seems to me that this book was almost a different genre. It was really more of a murder mystery police detective novel where as Thor's previous books were all action thrillers about killing lots of international terrorists and fighting bad guys. For most of this book, Thor was partnered up with a female Boston PD detective and they were trying to solve a mystery serial crime spree. Reminded me of the John Cory character in Plum Island but not nearly as good. I would rather Thor stick to the Vince Flynn type story lines with Harvath in Mitch Rapp mode vs. this book where he was in Sherlock Holmes mode. Also this story line got very convoluted towards the end and was totally far fetched and didn't really make much sense. I won't give anything away, but you will see what I mean once you have read the book. In summary, it was just OK. Not great. I hope Thor and Harvath get back to shooting guns and killing lots of international Muslim terrorists in his next book. That's his sweet spot. Thor please don't try to create a mystery police detective out of a special ops assassin like Scott Harvarth. He's just not that guy.
