For President Jack Ryan, his son Jack Ryan, Jr., and the covert organization known as The Campus, the fight against America’s enemies is never over. But the danger has just hit home in a way they never expected in this #1 New York Times bestselling Tom Clancy thriller....
The Campus has been discovered. And whoever knows they exist knows they can be destroyed. Meanwhile, President Jack Ryan has been swept back into the Oval Office—and his wisdom and courage are needed more desperately than ever.
Internal political and economic strife has pushed the leadership of China to the edge of disaster. And those who wish to consolidate their power are using the opportunity to strike at long-desired Taiwan, as well as the Americans who have protected the tiny nation.
Now, as two of the world’s superpowers move ever closer to a final confrontation, President Ryan must use the only wild card he has left—The Campus. But with their existence about to be revealed, they might not even have a chance to enter the battle before the world is consumed by war.

Great story excellent fighting scenes, need to read every line and every page. Tom Clancy, one of my most favorite authors. I only found one or two of his shared authorship that I didn't like. This novel is one of his best.
One of my favorite books ever. 5 stars.
Great book!
It is amazing how he predicted what the Chinese are doing now, the building of artificial islands in the South China Sea. Wonder if it will end like it does in the book...
I have read most of all the books written or based on Clancy's theme. I can assuredly state this is right there with the best of them. It is riveting, fast paced (at times a heck of an adrenaline rush), you have to turn the rage faster and faster. The web was woven well, released smoothly and relentlessly.
This book is one of the best Clancy novels I've read. Makes me want to become an IT security expert!
Tight, tense, thought provoking. Loved it!!
Excellent! Very well written with all the details all the way to complete conclusion.
Master writer of the military/political novel, Tom Clancy delivers again. I own every piece of work written or co-wrote by this visionary, and he never disappoints. I was devastated by the news of his passing last month. I truly felt and still feel that I have lost one of my heroes. An epic-storyteller. A true patriot through and through. Mr. Clancy, you will be missed....
Awesome book.
Best book by Tom since Red Storm Rising. Exciting throughout. Read it in 3 days. Greg
Tom Clancy has done it again!!! A page turner that you can't stop till you're finished. Looking forward to his next one. Now to read his non-fiction books on our military.
Excellent could not put it down
A great novel and I could not put the book down. The continuation from the last book to this book was perfect. I can't wait for the next novel to see what The Campus and Junior new adventure.
In the middle of the fairway. Not in the same league as the original six works, but solid, crowd pleasing Clancy. Worth the price of admission.
Clancy and Greaney hit a home run with this book. The added relevance of today's world and current events make a special read. Special congratulations for quality research without exaggeration.
This book is a must read right after you finish Locked On. It continues and closes the story brilliantly! I am ready for the next adventure of The Campus!
Great book. Clancy's best in a long long time. A throwback to his glory days.
Typical Clancy at work: deluge of intricate informational detail about non-critical elements, combined with the WHOLLY unrealistic betrayal of Junior by the grossly self-absorbed Melanie Kraft. Too little Jack Ryan, none of his greatness of intellect, and the best parts of the book are run over by a swift attention.
Fast paced scary scenario of everyone being dependent on computers/technology and the book 1984 being a reality now, 2013. I'd like to think our lives aren't this compromised, but that's naive.
Clancy got boring somewhere along the line, but this was a good recovery. Hang in there Tom!
Two issues with this hard-to-put-down page turner though: 1- Jack Junior. There's no possible way the POTUS's son would have such free reign. The downside to being caught or killed FAR outweigh any benefit, it just wouldn't happen 2- How easily the two American's committed treason in order to selfishly protect themselves. The Melanine and Lipton characters could've just been omitted. Other than these I really enjoyed the story. And makes you think the threat of cyber warfare is very real, especially with the Chinese.
Typical Tom Clancy novel--intense, suspenseful, and hard to put down. Also scary--too realistic, just like his other works.
Another outstanding read from Tom Clancy and I can't wait for the next chapter and verse!!!
This was mostly fluff. Much to do about nothing, but I suppose the writer gets paid by the number of words, whether they matter or not.
True Clancy....technology, realism, fast paced. Highly recommended.
JUst finished another classic Tom Clancey book. another great read.
Threat Vector was a highly anticipated read for me and did not disappoint! The "threat" in this story is current, in the news now, and probably the number one concern for our national security going forward. I found myself engrossed as the plot developed and couldn't put this book down! Tom Clancy does a great job of developing the characters and allowing the reader to identify with, and experience the action vicariously as the events unfold. Well done!
Not Clancy's best but one of the better ones. I group his fiction into 3 categories: the early ones that he wrote alone, the "creations" that had his name as the creator and, these last four. The early ones were the best. Red October, Clear & Present Danger, Debt of Honor, etc...were tops! The "Tom Clancy creations", I don't bother with. These last four seem to be back on track. Characters we know and like, exciting plots, lots of action and a fair mix of technology. I hope the long dry spell is truly over and, with 4 novels in 2 years, it seems so! Keep them coming Tom!!!
Liked the book. For me it was a slow start, but then gained momentum. I read the poor reviews and actually agreed with them, but I still enjoyed the read. It seems like Tom is relaxing a little yet I got caught up in the story. It's not his definitive work (IMHO Red Storm Rising), but still a talented techno-thriller author leads us on a "merry chase." Worth the money.
Didn't want it to end! One of his best!
Involving read!! Must be added to personal library!! However, too lengthly!!
Face paced and interesting!
Old school Clancy at his best. This is what we want more of!
Great book! I could not put the book down. Great insight full of action as usual. Tom Clancy is the man!!
Excellent in every way.
The anticipation of what was going to happen kept me glued to what was going to happen. I was amazed that the two authors had so much knowledge of China. The only thing I can say is, the people we met while we Traveled around China were very friendly. Also, China has 3.4 billion people. But I guess it makes for good reading the way it was written. I will now buy another of his books because he has me addicted to his writing style.
One of the best Clancy / jack Ryan books. A must read
Yet another great novel by Tom Clancy. His attention to details make the story come to life.
I thought the book was terrific and full of the ole Tom Clancy charm. It isn't full of the technological descriptions and advancements like "Red Storm Rising" but that is because those were times when the systems described were still covert. The times have changed and EMP weapons and cyber war is the new trend. Face it, cyber stuff isn't as glamorous as the "frisbee" or running spies like in other books. The only part that made you think about is the "hit team" operating in the U.S. But remember when The Campus first appeared the bad guys attacked a mall. All of theses things could happen now. China is a big threat and they are, according to the Internet, are big cyber space offenders so what wasn't real? Toms description of the U.S. infra-structure vulnerability could be spot on and a topic of concern. He successfully combined my favorite characters John Clark, Ding, and the two Jacks in a book that I could not put down. I say good job Tom Clancy!!!!
I have never read such a bunch of garbage in my life. Are we sure Tom Clancy is the author? There is a part where Jack jr wakes up next to Melanie in bed and she is described as "naked.". Later she rolls onto her back, and exposes her breasts! Who are these novels written for? Teenage boys! I remember when Clancy characters were normal people, now they resemble Marvel comics characters...beautiful people always talking in one liners. I loved Red Storm Rising. I loved everything up until he started focusing too much on Clark and his Mexican sidekick Domingo "Ding" Chavez, the bulletproof in-laws. I don't know much about Latino customs, but I can't manage anyone giving their son the nickname of "Ding." im tired of your beautiful, perfect people and their one liners.
Really enjoyed the book.
Does Mr. Clancy even write anymore? He wrote what... 2% of this and they put his name on the cover?
This is written the original Clancy magic. A fan since Hunt for Red October, I felt like I was shot forward to the next real global threat since the Cold War. Great read And hell on my blood pressure!! :-)
Amazing, mind blowing, an absolutely absorbing piece that pulls you straight in and keeps you reading on to the very last page.
As always Tom Clancy knows how to grab you and not let you go. I love reading this book
Can't get enough…when is the next book coming out! :-)
What a great read! I thought the storyline was plausible and I am sad I finished this book in 3 nights. I just couldn't put it down. Geri d
I have been a Tom Clancy fan from the beginning and I have read all of his fictional work. This book is by far the best one yet.
Book is far fetched yet can also easily be our reality, really brings on suspicins on whata going on overseas just as Iran

Once again, a great Ryan book. Junior filling seniors shoes.
I'll never get another Clancy "collaboration" book. No technical details and intricate plots. No real character development, plot, or surprise. Read Cardinal of the Kremlin and compare it to his last three works (with another name in small print). Diasappointing...
The best . Could not put it down
Far fetched, yet predictable. I give it a three for the patina of technology.
Once again Clancy has hit a literary home run. The chapters dealing with air warfare over the skies of of Taiwan were exceptionally exciting. However, I'm saddened by the Jack Jr. and Melonie's romance. Read the book to find out why.
This was an IPad page turner. Since receiving my device I have not purchased a paper/hardcover book for "want to" reading material. Mr. Clancy has done it again. Once. Again he has turned me into an active insomniac. Without my glasses some of his books have amused my son when I reported that the amount of pages approached fifteen hundred. He asked if I was reading an eye chart font size book. He could not stop laughing when I admitted to licking my finger in anticipant of "turning " the page. Admit it, if you have an IPad you've done it too.
Another great book in the jack ryan / junior series. As always the plot is electric, the book moves at a breakneck pace and it is impossible to put down! Keep them coming please!
Thoroughly enjoyable book. Found this to be the best of Clancy's 'renewed' writing efforts. A real page-turner, sucked it down in 3 days. The depth of story development, richness of detail, and sheer breadth all intertwine to keep readers of this type of genre fully engaged, both eager for the end while wishing it never would, all at the same time. 5 out of 5
Thoroughly enjoyable.
Loved this book. I'm so happy that Clancy is back up to form in these three thrillers. I had started to lose faith, but after this series, I'm hooked again. Mixing in new characters with the ones I've come to know and love is awesome!! Please keep em coming. Even at the expense of my sleep
Another excellent Tom Clancy novel!
Highly recommended could not put it down.
