A Purdy Good Read!. A fun tale told in first person by a young westerner who had lots a’ common sense but not a lot of schoolin’. He’s a hero of the best kind, who knows right from wrong and doesn’t hesitate to stand up for it. Glen Riffe

Best western book series I've ever read!. Funny how you find books these days. I'm thinking not many of us find them in the bookstores any longer. I started off reading Lewis' Crockett books first. They were decent and when I checked what else he had written I came upon his Trail series. Written in the perfect western down home, they were supremely entertaining. Great buy!
The Dear Run Trail. The book was an entertaining and easy read. Enjoyed the characters and their interaction with each other, and as always, the good guys won in the end.

Lewis (born March 6, 1971) is an American former politician of the Republican Party who served as a member of the North Carolina General Assembly from 2002 to 2020, representing the state's 53rd House District.
