- About Adam Smith
He remembered how it had seemed to him to him, a priest sweet to die if he might die clasping unrebuked this woman in his arms. The blood throbbed in his temples as he recalled the wild thoughts that had swirled in a mad throng through his brain in those moments which had seemed like hours; the blood throbbed, too, in his wounded arm, so that a groan forced itself through his parched lips. He was constantly throwing himself to and fro as if to escape from some teasing thought, always to be by the sharp pang in his wound brought to a sense of his condition. The whole night passed in an agony of mind and body.

Product Description?. Perhaps this was a joke, perhaps it serves some darker purpose, but the product description doesn’t match the title. It’s for a romance novel or soft core erotica. If you’re looking for Adam Smith’s Wealth,of Marion’s, you’ll urge probably better off with a different edition.
Printing Errors. There are certain sentences in the edition of this book that are incomprehensible owing not only to typos, but such that several words are missing or mis-printed!

An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations. This book treats economics like science, almost like physics where the facts are proved by experiment. Although it is a few hundred years old the theory seems to be so very pertinent to us today. I really enjoyed it, despite the slightly old fashioned language. It has made me look at so many things afresh, and removed my fear of economics. The laws of economics are no more to be feared than gravity.
Crown Jewel of Economy. No wonder Great Britain became a super power of economy and manufacture. This book paved the way for it. One of the finest classics I have read.

Adam Smith (baptised 16 June [O.S. 5 June] 1723 – 17 July 1790) was a Scottish economist and philosopher who was a pioneer in the thinking of political economy and key figure during the Scottish Enlightenment. Seen by some as "The Father of Economics" or "The Father of Capitalism", he wrote two classic works, The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759) and An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776). The latter, often abbreviated as The Wealth of Nations, is considered his magnum opus and the first modern work that treats economics as a comprehensive system and as an academic discipline. Smith refuses to explain the distribution of wealth and power in terms of God's will and instead appeals to natural, political, social, economic, legal, environmental and technological factors and the interactions among them. Among other economic theories, the work introduced Smith's idea of absolute advantage.Smith studied social philosophy at the University of Glasgow and at....
