Perfunctory. Flynn can be a good writer, but not in this effort. This book felt rushed and superficial. Little or no character development. Things fall into place too neatly. I would not recommend.

Kill Shot - good but somewhat predictable. This is my first book by this author. It was a good read, but somewhat predictable. My favorite authors are Stephen King and Tom Clancy, both of whom do much better jobs of character development and putting in unexpected twists into the story lines. This was entertaining, but I'm not likely to rush to read another book by Flynn.

Kill Shot. This is my second Mitch Rapp story. After American Assassin (which I thought was really slow) I was kept busy and interested for the entire read. I'm looking forward to more of this Author's Mitch Rapp stories.

Vince Flynn is the best. Truthfully, I just keep reading his Mitch Rapp books over and over. There's an integrity that aligns with my concept of justice, which keeps me glued to the pages. I must say, the actual world needs more Stansfield, Kennedy, Hurley and Rapp!

Love the story not the foul language. I love the characters, story line and Mitch Rapp came to life, you could almost see him in person. Bought and read all of them, but why the "f" words have to fly so often is just beyond me. I do live in the real world, I know the words are used by many and have 3 nephews in special forces and know they testosterone it up an the word flies, but really......having to see it in print a jillion times??? I read multiple authors of series writing and guess I may have to stick to those. We shall see.

Par for the course. As usual Mr. Flynn does a great job of keeping the reader wanting more. When the pilot anounces the final desent and the electronics are to be turned off, I curse myself for not buying the hard copy. Flynn has a style all his own that keeps the reader turning page after page until the climactic but inevitably ungratifying ending. The next book in the series is eagerly awaited and will undoubtedly contain just as many intricate connections, detailed research, and pulse elevating tension. As always, well done.

Why the bad reviews?. People need to realize that Vince was undergoing a lot of serious medical issues with cancer during his time of writing this book. That will seriously drain ones thinking capacity when creativity is needed most. Plus the time he had to balance with his family. His series is amazing. Who cares if this one a little of his normal path. It's an outstanding book regardless. And they had better do the movie right. I fear they will butcher Rapp and make him look like Bond. Rapp doesn't do monkey suits.

Another great one in the long line by Vince Flynn. The way with which the Mitch Rapp series flows has me completely and I no doubt will be completing the series. This is just great writing, plain and simple...highly entertaining throughout.

Kill Shot. Though I normally love Vince Flynn and his character Mitch Rapp, this book left me feeling let down. After a great start full of mystery and intrigue, the book continues to build the suspense and conflict. Then it just ends abruptly. This left me with a lot of unanswered questions. I really hope the next book clears up these questions.

Great book. Little Annoyances.. This has been a great series of books. Very entertaining. I blew through the entire Mitch Rapp series in a few weeks. Highly recommend all of the books to any action, spy, or military novel fans. All of the books always have a couple tiny technical issues that really bug me. In this one it is the 18 round magazine capacity in a Beretta 92f. No one made 18 round mags for it until about a decade after this book takes place. There is always an issue like that - which is mentioned multiple times - that messes up a very thoroughly researched book. But, I guess thats the difference between a fun spy novel and a Le Carre spy novel.

Solid. This book was perhaps Flynn's best Rapp thriller, and I was very entertained with the storyline and character development in relation to his previous Rapp novels. If you haven't yet read of Mitch Rapp, this is a great introduction to him as it is a prequel to the previous novels.

Kill Shot. After reading Flynn's last book American Assassin, I feared that Flynn had hit the so called "wall" that writers eventually hit and was done. That was by far his worst work and was completely ridiculous. Being that Kill Shot was it's sequel, I was very apprehensive about giving him a second chance. I'm happy to say I am happy that I did. I was very relieved in the fact that Flynn really knocked this one out of the park. The characters and story line were believable and action packed. He did a great job of carrying the characters in and out of various situations and kept the plot entertaining. Perhaps not his best work in my opinion, but it was one of his better ones. This is a good read that afterwards you will not feel like you wasted your time or money. Very relieved that Flynn can still write.

Story is compelling.. But.... The publisher included chapters from most if not all of his previous books. While reading it I was under the impression that I had about 200 pages left. When it says 430 of 640 pages left I was shocked when I reached the end of the book. I can't see how the publisher would do this in print form, why would they do it in electronic form?

Good Read. This was a well written book and I would recommend this book to anyone. As long as you enjoy action, you will enjoy this book.

Kill Shot. I have read all of Vince Flynn's books. I suppose the vigilante approach satisfies my bent for justice toward unrepentant evil. This book had the same formula (of course) that's what the Mitch Rapp character is about. So that's what kept me reading. What I didn't like about this novel was the constant profanity. This is different than the earlier novels. I will probably become un-Rapped if future books continue in this style. So for this reason - 2 stars.

Good not great. I've read every Vince Flynn book he's written and I think this was probably one of the weakest. Its still good, just not great like the rest. I have been waiting for this to come out since I finished reading the Mitch Rapp series in order back in September. This was definitely a good continuation of the franchise but I found that after all the careful buildup to the climax of this story, the end came on much too quickly and was far too short. It seemed very rushed and left me with a 'that's it?' feeling. I hate to be critical because I find Vince's books to be the absolute best spy novels out there...it just didn't seem to live up to the bar he has set with the rest of his body of work. I hope there will be another one released soon!

Vince Flynn delivers as usual. I am a die-hard Vince Flynn fan, having read all of his books thus far. Kill Shot is a great continuation of the Mitch Rapp story, and continues to show why Rapp is my favorite character in literature. It is also amazing that Vince Flynn was able to write this while battling cancer. The book is clearly not his best, but it is a great, solid Mitch Rapp tale, replete with everything you would expect from this great author. However, the book is short and the story ends quite suddenly (though satisfyingly). I was fine with the story, but I think it was a dirty publisher trick to include excerpts from all of the other Mitch Rapp novels to make the book appear to be longer than it is. Be aware before buying: literally one-third of the total page count is excerpts from other books. It was a disappointing and unwelcome surprise.

Stunned at 70%!. Great writing as usual. I waited for this book for so long. Purchased on release date. While reading it I savored every word. At around 69% complete, I settled in for a long read to finish the book. Then 5 min later I was done. Extremely abrupt ending with no epilogue. Remaining 30% filled with excerpts from all previous novels. Just get it at the library.

Kill Shot. Great read. If you read the other Flynn books first, some of the suspense is lacking since you know that Rapp has done so much more and that Stansfield and Kennedy have taken on new roles. This is the book to read first if you never read a Flynn book before then read the others in the order that they were published to give more understandable flow of the characters.

He's got to be better than this. I gave him two stars because of his health issues. Otherwise, he gets one star. This was my first Mitch Rapp book, and I downloaded it because it seemed like a popular read. Big mistake. Simply an awful book--poorly written, cliche characters in obvious situations, and no real suspense because everything was so contrived and unearned I just didn't care. You want to read suspense with some quality, pick up Daniel Silva or Robert Crais. This guy, I'm sorry to say because I know he has health issues, this guy is a hack.

Kill Shot!. First I had no issues with the download; hopefully the issue is resolved for others to enjoy this book. Second Kill Shot was an excellent read. It was very interesting, intense, had some sarcastic humor; it was hard to put the book down for me.

Fix the preview chapters. The book is 4 stars, however I am giving a one star rating because of the 150 pages of previews at the end. I have read all of Flynn's books and did not pay for Kill Shot to read 150 pages of the first chapter of each of his previous novels. Remove this now.

Fantastic. I have read Every book in this series and Kill Shot did not let me down. Mr Flynn has once again elevated Mitch Rapp to the ultimate Super Hero. My only regret is that the story ended so soon. I cant wait for the series to continue and see what Mr. Rapp is up to. Congrats Vince on an outstanding book

Disappointed!. I truly loved all of Vince's books. This was a 'kill shot' for me. After several chapters, I asked myself, "why is Flynn wasting space...". Amazing drop off the cliff when the book ended and we went in the BS advertising! Agree with others, good bye Mitch and Vince. Major bummer.

When I got to the end, very abruptly, there were hundreds of more pages. They were teasers for his first books. It was a waste of space for me. I have read every book he has written (in order). ,
