#1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor returns with his most explosive thriller ever.

Somewhere deep inside the United States government is a closely guarded list. Members of Congress never get to see it—only the President and a secret team of advisors. Once your name is on the list, it doesn’t come off…until you’re dead.

Someone has just added counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath’s name.

Somehow Harvath must evade the teams dispatched to kill him long enough to untangle who has targeted him and why they want him out of the way.

Somehow, somewhere, someone can put all the pieces together. The only question is, will Harvath get to that person before the United States suffers the most withering terrorist attack ever conceived?

Pretty good read. Interesting plot, not his best work, but very good

Amazingly Addictive. This book grasped my mind, within the first couple of pages. The way you can imagine this as reading along, like watching an action packed film. It reminds me of something like the movie "Safe House" with Denzel Washington & Ryan Reynolds. I recommend this book to anyone that loves action with a passion, or something to have your mind wonder on something that can happen tomorrow in the real world. The only thing I really didn't like about this book, it over described certain things on and on, seemed like it would never stopped, but then again, it was very descriptive to let you know what it was talking about. Great book, my first book I read from Bead Thor... Great Job ! #NewFan

This was good. And Scary. All at the same time.. If we truly allowed this to happen, it would be very scary. You do not know what the “issue” is until very late in the book. Of course Thor wraps it all up in about ten pages. Oh well. It’s good. Better than some of his previous ones.

Recruiterrick

Great. 2nd Thor book I've read. Really good writing, like the characters, good fast pace. Not a lot of boring filler. Will definitely read more of him.

Awesome!. Thoughtful, gripping, sorrowful, and exciting. I can't wait for the next book. But until then this book will provide a bed for reflection and introspection about our lives and future of the US and world. A must read. Although, you may miss a night of sleep because you cannot put this book down.

The black list. Good read, a page turner

Firstdownpack

Riveting!. My first Brad Thor read and I must say there will be many more.

Lucky_Cat_Sleven

Great book!!!. Thor made me love reading again, keep it up!!!

Oldpro70

Not That Good. Drags and drags; a treatise on our government's spying more than a "thriller". I made it about 1/3 through before giving up. Interesting characters but detail detail detail which makes reading the book a chore.

Another awesome read. Brad has done it again! Another edge of your seat read! You will not be able to put it down! All I need to know is when are we ever going to see Brad Thor books on the Big Screen????

Aobrien27

Awesome. Another awesome ride in the Scot Harvath series! Highly recommended! A must read!

Bigguy49

Black List. Shallow, barely believable, undeveloped characters, little suspense.

Jgonzalez2385

Tatiana's report on this Arthur. It was a kinda to but I bet you the next book is going to excellent

Dfr30

Pretty god. Starts out slow and a little boring but by the middle and end I could not put it down..right up there with the best..Scott H has to me right up there with Mitch Rapp..

middling suspense story. This is an okay suspense story — the kind of thing you could spend a few hours reading while you're on a plane or otherwise don't have many other options. I differ in opinion with most of the other reviews here — I don't find the author incredibly well informed about capabilities and ethics of modern technology. I also don’t really care for his writing style (which ultimately means I’m not going to be crazy about the book, no matter how interesting or well-informed the plot might be). Sometimes I was left scratching my head at his peculiar characterizations. For instance, one character asks another "what's net neutrality," and the response is "“Basically, it’s a move by elements within the government who want to have authority to censor the Internet." Huh? The writing is a bit ham-fisted, kind of like watching a typical Aaron Sorkin TV show. The author will go on a little mini-diatribe for 3 or 4 pages about the evils and dangers of the government and modern technology, and then suddenly remember he's writing a novel and get on with the characters and plot. There were definitely times when felt I needed to be wearing a little tinfoil hat to really get into the spirit of the book. Not the plot, mind you (where it would might be appropriate) but the book itself. Overall, I can say I finished it, but I won't be looking to do any follow-up readings by this author.

Awesome. Great book

Black List. Great book. Had to keep charging my iPhone so reading could proceed!!!

Kwelker55

Black List. Brad Thor does it again! My wife wasn't happy because I was always reading it. Ok it only took two days.

Another Winner from Brad Thor. I recommend The Black List and I am quite sure fans of mystery/thriller/espionage novels will enjoy reading it. The technology concept of "spying" on everyday citizens and how that data/information can be used to manipulate entire government policy is not only interesting, but very timely given today's debate over phone and internet surveillance. The Black List covers this topic in detail laying out a scenario that doesn't seem all that far fetched given the breadth of social media and amazing digital technology that so pervades every aspect of our lives. It has been a while since I had read a Brad Thor novel and I am glad I got back on board with The Black List. Thor is definitely one of the best mystery/thriller writers around. I thought The Black List started off fast and furious. Then its pace slowed down a bit before picking up steam for a terrific last half of the book. Thor fans will find this book more than satisfactory while readers new to Brad Thor will likely become fans by the end of the book.

Black list. Excellent

Rudabega9

Outstanding Action and Realism. This book describes a chillingly realistic attack on the United States from within. Unlike some of Thor's earlier books, I thought the action scenes and plot were very realistic. We should be worried, very woried!!

MellowTraveler

One of Thor’s Best. I have listened to and re-read Black List and have enjoyed it more every time I read it.

Plc49

Black list. As usual the ending is abrupt. Scott's books need to have more depth and detail all the way to the end.

Ghostrover78

Black List. Best read yet. Could not put the book down Have been a follower since reading Brad's first, The Lions of Lucerne. Thoroughly enjoyed the inclusion of the operators from the Athena Project, Casey & Rhodes. Makes one stop and think about the possibilities of 'big brother' watching and listening to your every move. A must read to all that own a computer, cell phone or iPad.

Amt9255

Excellent. This was a great read! First time I have read one if jus books .

Eagle441

Never End. Another book down by Brad Thor. I am always sad when the book is about to end as I know my brief time of getting lost in the story is also ending and it's time to face reality. This story is one of my favorites as I felt like this could happen for real

Gaming nut

black list. This was my first Brad Thor book. The plot was outstanding. Once you get by the jargon for all of the technology systems, the characters and twists are really good reading!

Mark in PA

Best yet. Great page turning read. I have read all of Brads books, and this was his best one yet. I look forward to his next.

Appmasta

Great!. Very interesting book - kept me hooked till the end!

Victim of scam

Keeps getting better. Best Thor novel to date. Could not put the book down. Can't wait for his next thriller.

Nazareth309

Black List. This was my first Brad Thor Thriller I have read. It won't be the only one by no means. Truly possible in these times. By Ted Dettmann The old LTCDR

Dino Brava

Good read. I previously submitted the wrong review for this book. Please excuse my sleep-deprived stupidity. This is a good page-turner with an Orwellian technology / government theme. Thor researches his content and just about everything he writes in regards to surveillance technology is legit. That fact makes Black List all the more compelling.

4ah

Can't affect me!. Excellent, excellent read... Especially for all of use who continue to say.... As long as I do nothing wrong, I have no problem with big brother watching.. This book will set your mind free and your attention fine tune d to what could really happen!

Soejoe

Darn good book. I will read the next one.. Good job. Keep them coming.

Michael/Eve

Black list. One of the most boring "non-thrillers" I have ever read. I bypassed nearly as many pages as I forced myself to read.Preposterous and ridiculous plot sprinkled with forced and silly "actions" more phony than a three dollar bill. Awful and no stars. Michael M

Bavarian Hillbilly

The black list. Another great book by Brad Thor. A good book is one that you don't want to stop reading, and look forward to getting back to it as soon as possible. This is one of those. I use reviews to find authors that I may like. Here are some of them Don Mann, jack Mars, jack Coughlin, Ben Coes, Scott McEwen, Tom Wood, Mark Greaney, John Wayne Falby, Howard E. Wasdin, Ward Larsen. For the older readers there are Vince Flynn and Stephen Hunter For the real old readers there is Donald Hamilton( still my favorite).

RiccoV

Not close to his best.. I've read all the Horvath stories. Hated the Athena Project, but enjoyed the rest. This one disappoints. Feels a bit cartoonish and lackluster. Perhaps it needed to be thrown together to meet a deadline? Please don't give up Mr. Thor, but live up to your capabilities.

Rodger.Padgett

Very accurate and telling at the same time!. If I weren't already aware of some of the technologies used in this book, I'd say "Yea, right"! But since I am I say we live in interesting times. Truly a Chinese curse!

Cgpcpa

Black List. Great book!

ABCFOXguy

Fiction?. I know this is fiction, but it seems so real and relevant to our times with all of the things we are hearing about our government and the NSA. This is a great read. Thank you to all who were involved especially Brad Thor!

Cjpatel32

Great Read! Page Turner. I just finished reading Full Black and jumped right into this book. I couldn't put it down. The story is too realistic, and I'm sure our Govt. does utilize these technologies. Awesome book and Brad Thor doesn't fail to keep you interested!

YvonneCapeCod

Black List. This is where Brad Thor should be after saying that Donald Trump should be gotten rid of. Who appointed you judge, jury and executioner? I don't agree with a lot of politicians but they have their right to existence, to a voice and to live.

Glock40

Black List - A must read!. One of Brad Thor's best action novels. The returning characters and new action sequences are awesome . The exciting, technically thrilling storyline goes on for the entire length of the book. I was sorry to come to the end. Kudos to Brad for a "breath holding" novel to the end.

Handym04

It's an okay read. Too predictable!

All Colors

Black List. I enjoyed the book. I always learn a lot from Scot Harvath, eg. gov't, guns, and game-man-ship.

Missippee

Black List. Awesome!!

Wavecrsr

2 Days. Black List was so riveting I literally read it in two days.

Sailndayz

Wow! Best Thor novel yet. Impossible to set this book down. The action and plot was amazing! Interesting that many colleagues are really emphasizing Cyber Security... The book, plot and agencies are all involved. Scary but stimulating?

LandonC8

Best ever!. Best spy thriller I've ever read!

ANProctor

Intriguing. The idea behind this one is intense and I loved not knowing what the real problem was throughout the entire story until 3/4s in. I very much enjoyed being left in the dark for most of it, however I must be honest and say it was pretty slow after the first few chapters. It had to be set aside for a bit for this reason. Too much traveling and character hopping. It was hard to follow the terrorists perspective on this one and that turned me off. Again the idea is great, and a lot of this is portrayed extremely well, the facts are stellar, but it could have been better. Not my favorite, but it’s a good read for sure!

Black List. Interesting and well crafted book that obviously had plenty of research behind it. While it is fiction, it is very believable that a scenario like this could unfold someday. It was a quick read and filled with good conversation topics to discuss with friends and family. I really enjoyed reading it!

Jlb24444

Great read!. Like all Brad Thor books, Black List was a pager turner that was almost impossible to put down! Can't wait for the next Scot Harvath Adventure! Thanks Brad!!

PhillipDWilliams

Black list. Best book yet.

Itmatt72

Wow!. Another great book by Brad Thor. This one really keeps your heart beat up the entire read! Non-stop action from cover to cover! I will be reading it again real soon!

Robie one

OK. Not a bad read, quick and easy. Thor's done better but overall what you expect.

Teknoslam

Dissapointed. Have read all of thor's books. Was incredibly excited, and then incredibly let down. Brad has kept me entertained for a long time, for which I give him credit. That said, this book sucked. Sorry brad, better luck on the next one

Boysmumas

Black List. Great plot and interesting characters. Not an edge of your seat read due to so much needless information. I now know how to hot wire a car, reroute my emails through several countries to arrive across the street, kill multiple bad guys by putting them on a plane and suffocating them and then crashing the aircraft. Just a little too much information that was not needed. Otherwise, another super novel from Brad Thor. . . . ." ... . . . . . . . .

Clrklake

Blacklist. Carve out enough time to thoroughly enjoy Blacklist before turning the first page because you won't close the book soon. Fantastic, compelling read. Well done, Brad Thor.

ChristianPilgrim1

Black List. Not Brad's best! Interesting subject, but very loosely pulled together for a story. Still like Brad's writing, and look forward to his next book.

Borisvvz

Enjoyed it. The technology part if mere background for a basic thriller, but a good one at that. Nice reading while sitting at a beach...

GlassOnion1

Good read but too short. This was a good read. But it could have been so much better. Way too short of a read. Again the book was good but I was disappointed in the length.

Shredderviking

Black List. One of Brad Thor's best and scariest books written. If half the stuff is true, we need more than one Scot Harvath on our side!

Padric26

Save it for Faux News. Bad fiction with a right-wing agenda.

Susu707

Could this really happen?. OMG!! Could this really happen? Scary to think that EVERYTHING is being tracked, listened to, stored for use at a later time. I could not put this down!

MJG64

Brad Thor at His Best!!!. Black List is a spine-chilling, all too real scenario of the frightening surveillance capabilities that presently exist or are under development. Those capabilities are a concomitant result of the exponential advances we have made in technology. Left unchecked, one can easily see how our democracy could quickly morph into a totalitarian state a la George Orwell. Best fiction read I've had in quite some time. Highly recommended!

Hockeybob07

Fantastic. Have to say that this is Brad's best book in years. And defiantly the scariest!

1Stupid Person

Amazed!. I could not stop reading! The thought that something like this could happen is made very real with this fictional account.

Ggr1868

Fascinating subject and story.. Finished the book the same day I started it. Couldn't stop reading. Thor has a gift crafting characters and story lines. The best compliment is I can only read his books when I have time for a marathon read. Thanks Brad Thor.
