Jim Butcher Does It Again. As usual, Harry Dresden manages to create chaos in his wake, even as a ghost. Butcher's newest novel is filled with surprises, as only Butcher can deliver them. At the same time, the book's characters contemplate life, death, and what it means to be mortal. This book elicits tears and cheers, just as Harry Dresden novels do so well. One of Butcher's best.

One of the best so far. Ghost story is one of the most compelling Dresden files book t date. Mr Butcher goes out of his way to deal with mortality, decisions and the after life. A now dead Dresden has to deal with the ramifications of his life, those he heed and betrayed. I finished this book and immediately wanted the next in the series to be written and finished. Amazing and need more.

This book should have been titles Transitions. I have read a lot of bad reviews about this book and have to disagree with them. I think readers are upset that this Dresden story doesn't follow the pattern of the previous books. The novel is clearly a transitional novel that is necessary to start a new story line. While it is disappointing that the give and take between Murphy's and Dresden's character is missing, I am looking forward to following then new path Dresden is taking.

Excellent as usual!. I've followed the Dresden series from the first book and could no wait to get my hands on Ghost Story. No dissapointment at all, Jim Butcher has come through again! Can't wait to see what's next (no spoilers!)

Ghost Story is the best one yet!. I got goosebumps. I laughed out loud. I cried a little. I waited months for this book, with baited breath, and read it the day it was released. I can't wait to see what happens next!

The real deal. This is no money-grubbing venture. Having recently seen the brilliant Jim Butcher speak at my local bookstore, I can assure you every moment of this book is calculated coolly to bring the satisfaction we all learn to expect from the Dresden Files.

Need this book!!. Of course the series couldnt have ended, otherwise we would never have found out whos behind the black council, not to mention if Harrys daughter grow up to be just like her dad. Butcher you have done a fantastic job with your most recent best seller, but the only thing i thought was missing was that we never got to see Susan even though she died as well.

Great story. As always Jim delivers the final blow in the last few pages and the entire book comes to a close. Not unlike the Han Solo clearing the way for Luke or Roy saving Deckard moments before his own death. I have always enjoyed the series and look forward to the next installment as I am sure it will be a worthwhile read.

The best. This book is freakin' awesome and can't wait for the next book!

Plenty more to come. Jim's planning about 20-24 books for the main series, then a final 3 book EPIC story, so no worries! The last few novels, things got dark, and as a result, there was less snark than earlier in the series. This book has the return of the snark...after all, once you're dead, what's the worst that could happen? It already has, right? Right?

Great book!!!!!. I enjoyed this book, every word!! I couldn't put it down. I read with anticipation all the way to the end and was frustrated that it ended so quickly! Can't wait for the next one!!!

One of the Best. In the last 100 pages of this book, Butcher proves that the Dresden Files can hold it's own with any series out right now. Jim is one of the best there is.

When your hero is dead.. What do you do when you kill off your hero? Mr. Butcher found a great solution.. Same Harry, just death throwing him some new challenges. A great read.

Keep it coming. Butcher keeps it up, and makes the wait worth it. Dresden is "alive" as ever in the prose of this compelling story. Again I found myself consuming the book in one go, unable to stop till the end. The only downside is that now I am waiting for the next one again.

A little slower, but…. The first one to roll-IN AALL THE STOPS. This one drags a little, but it sets the stage for something big. Read it and remember the bigger picture.

Ghost Story. I couldn't put this one down! Too much was riding on it. Seriously! I mean, how does this most recent book end? What becomes of the wizard I started out not thoroughly liking, but ended up a loyal fan of? I'm not a professional writer and don't know how to review a book without all kinds of spoiler alerts. Suffice it to say, if you are not yet a Harry Dresden fan, start with the first book and know that the most recent episode is immensely satisfying. I can't wait for the next one. I can only pray that Jim Butcher never gets tired of preparing the Dresden Files for our perusal.

Highly recommended. One of those rare series where the next publish date goes in my calendar. Really well written dialogue. Maybe Jim can start using his feet to type as well?

Worthy read, every page. I enjoyed the book and wished it was longer so I could keep reading more and more. Butcher has great imagination and a brilliant way of making you feel inside the story. Can't wait for the next one!

Change the Reader killed the book. Who ever changed the reader should be fired; if there was a scheduling confilt it would have been worth the wait! The book is good so far, but i die a little bit everytime I hit play knowing its not masters.

Great story!. This is another great book from Butcher! I usually listen to the audio books, but read this one because of the new narrator. I'm hoping Marsters comes back to read the next book in the series. This book was totally worth the wait!

Better than I hoped. I was not sure I wanted to read this book after Changes. Changes broke my heart. I was angry for days. After a couple starts, I finally got into it and found it very good. Where we go from here-we will see. Anthing is possible now.

Brilliant ending..more philosophical Harry!!. I have been a long time fan and have read and re read all the books in the Dresden files many times over. While not as snappy and fast paced as 'changes' the ending more than makes up for it. It was a bit strange to see the new, more thoughtful Harry, but I guess the evolution of all the characters continues. The end was delicious and I definitely cannot wait to read the next book.

Best of the Series. With the sheer sensory overload that came with Changes, I was skeptical of how well a follow up would do. Butcher has proved to me that there is never enough Harry Dresden, and his masterful storytelling has me, yet again, on the edge of my seat for the sequel.

Awesome, as usual!. Once more, Harry Dresden keeps me on the edge of my seat, turning pages frantically... And, also as usual, I was torn between wanting to find out how this would end, and wanting to slow down my pace so I could savor the story. Now, I'm forced to wait for however much longer for the next wonderous escapee from Jim Butcher's amazingly twisted and fantastic imagination.

Really Amazing. My God!! What a great book!! I waited over a year for this one and I can't wait for the next. I am getting a much clearer understanding of where Mr.Butcher is taking us in the order of Supernatural beings. From the fae to archangels. How compelling! This was well written carefully thought out. This was simply amazing. As a US Navy SEAL Commanding Officer I don't have much time to read fiction, but in my spare time Harry Dresden gets it.

Come on July!. I was so afraid the series was complete. I hope this is just the beginning of part 2.
