"A fresh, funny take on the search for a soulmate." —People

A savvy, page-turning novel about a woman torn between her husband and the man she thought she'd marry by the author of the New York Times Bestseller and Reese's Book Club Pick,  The Last Thing He Told Me

Annie Adams is days away from her thirty-second birthday and thinks she has finally found some happiness. She visits the world's most interesting places for her syndicated travel column and she's happily cohabiting with her movie director boyfriend Nick in Los Angeles. But when Nick comes home from a meeting with his therapist (aka "futures counselor") and announces that he's taking a break from their relationship so he can pursue a woman from his past, the place Annie had come to call home is shattered. Reeling, Annie stumbles into her neighborhood bar and finds Griffin-a grounded, charming chef who seems to be everything Annie didn't know she was looking for. Within three months, Griffin is Annie's husband and Annie finds herself trying to restart her life in rural Massachusetts.

A wry observer of modern love, Laura Dave "steers clear of easy answers to explore the romantic choices we make" (USA Today). Her third novel is packed with humor, empathy, and psychological insight about the power of love and home.

Anti-Climatic. I love reading sad I rarely read reviews, but this was not my favorite book. It felt like there could have been so much more to it.

Poorly Written. This book was hard to read because sometimes the sentence structure was really...off. I don’t know how to describe it. The characters felt like strangers even in the final chapters. Eh. It was a slightly interesting story, but I just found myself wanting to skip to the end. It’s a beach read, for sure.

Loved it!!!. I happened to find out about this book earlier today when Allison Winn Scotch posted up a link on her fb page about the new cover release. I am so grateful that I found out about this book; it made the last 6 hours of my life very enjoyable. I couldn't put it down! Annie's emotional ups and downs, the insights she has along the way, the longing to find out which way to go, so closely resembled things I have gone through in the past and I think Laura Dave did an incredible job making those very real issues come alive in such a believable way. I could just go on and on, but I will end it at this: Great book! Won't mind reading it again....and again....and again.

Just ok. Very predictable.

Inspiring and creative. I really enjoyed the soul searching that the main character shared. So many chic lit books have shallow characters that make me crazy because of their insecurities and it's hard to relate. This book was thought provoking and very original. The artistic aspects were inspiring and as an artist that's always a plus in a light novel. Look forward to reading her other books.

Good read. Just good.

Predictable and a bit dull. This was just ok. I feel like I’ve read this before and it was a bit predictable. I didn’t find Annie relatable honestly and I sorta feel bad for Griffin. I was a bit annoyed and this wasn’t more dramatic. It’s just ok at best for me. Didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it. Didn’t crave it.

Don't waste your $. Not worth it. I was hurrying to finish it so I could start reading another book and instead wish I wouldn't have wasted my time finishing it.

Slow and doesn’t appeal at all.. so long!. This was like reading someone’s thought dump diary. There’s no story it’s soooo slow! I’m only a few pages in and don’t see myself interested in finishing it!
