An Apple Books Classic edition.
Jane Austen’s beloved classic opens with this witty and very memorable line: “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” With all the twists and turns of a soap opera, Pride and Prejudice chronicles the drama that ensues when the wealthy bachelor Mr. Darcy moves close to the Bennet family home in the English countryside. The news of his arrival sends the socially ambitious Mrs. Bennet-whose main concern is finding suitable matches for her five daughters-into overdrive.
The book’s main character, the high-spirited Elizabeth Bennet, is a strikingly modern heroine: a woman who refuses to lower her expectations or transform herself to suit society’s norms. Austen’s novel achieves a remarkable balance, serving up barbed criticism of the obsession with money, status, and matrimony even as it draws us into a swoon-worthy love story. At its heart, Pride and Prejudice is a romantic comedy, and a darned great one at that. It’s so much fun to turn the pages and wonder about Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy: Will they or won’t they overcome their excessive pride and initial prejudices to make a happily-ever-after connection?

That’s all. It’s just so good. The wit, the applicability that has persevered to modern times, all of it! I loooove this book!
Great novel
We all hear it every day: racism. God created us as equals and we all have the same rights. God wants us to love each other, just as Jesus loves us. In the Bible, John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, so whoever believes in him will not die, but live forever in heaven.” God cares about us and loves every single one of us, despite all of our messes and sins. When Jesus died on the cross, he erased all our sins and made us pure. So try to be perfect. Treat everyone the same, wether black, white, yellow, or red, think of each other as equals. So try to make the world a better place, and show a little kindness each and every day. May God bless you and keep you safe in these difficult times.
Amazing!! Mr. Darcy tho😳😳😳😳💦🥵😏😼
Jane Austen is an elite author. 🤍
i loved reading this
I’m always happy to read this charming book. It’s cleverly written dialogues & script keeps me coming back to it. The movies made of it hold nothing to the author’s skillful ability to describe characters’s thoughts & dialogue!
This has instantly become my favorite book and I will recommend it to anyone. While some of the words were advanced, it was a great vocabulary lesson, as I learned many new words. Wonderful book, wonderful characters. Well done Jane Austen.
I am retreading the Classics and this book is still as difficult to read as it was the last time. But...who can fault the Classics?
One of my favorite stories. Love it.
bloody el', it's a great book! god bless you jane austen
this book slaps.
Love love love everything about this book!!!
Its a nice book
This book is a classic that I will most likely read again with an amazing story.
This is by far the most beautiful book I’ve ever read. Totally fell in love with every detail, the lively Lizzy Bennet and socially awkward Mr Darcy. I don’t think I’ll ever find a book as wonderful and heartwarming as pride and prejudice.
:)
Lovely. Just lovely.
This book was the most captivating book I have read in a while. I wanted to read it because it’s a classic, and I have never seen the movie so I didn’t know what it was about. So glad I read this before watching the movie. This kept me anxious to read every day! What an incredibly well written book.
This book really is incredible, by far my favorite. Although at times I find the old language a bit hard to understand, (supplemented with the movies, it's easier to pick up on sarcasm) I adore this book. The romance is so sweet and so frank, and each character is the quintessential character of their kind. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Please go and read it!! You will not be disappointed!
Loved it.
A wonderful journey of human behavior and timeless love. A must read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful
I have an unholy obsession with this book...it is soooooooofoffofofofoofefokmkv amazing. If you’re reading this you better read this novel I swear.
Good book. Slow beginning, but became more interesting about a third of the way through. Jane Eyre was a better read in my opinion.
200 years since it was published and we are still reading it. The reason: It’s just good. I’ve read it four times and will probably read it again soon to fall in love again with Elizabeth, laugh at Mr Collins, and marvel at how emotionally stunted Mr Darcy is. Seriously. The whole book could be a leaflet if he was more emotionally intelligent. It’s a time capsule from a different world and even though I’m a guy who works with his hands (doubt I was ever her ideal demographic) Austen’s work holds a special place in my heart.
Not trying to be rude, but... Just because your literary skills are poor, doesn’t mean a book is boring or bad, it just means that you need to work on expanding your vocabulary and you need to start reading more. You can’t say a book is bad just because you can’t read it. I’m my own personal opinion, Jane Austen’s writing is beautiful and worth reading. Thanks.
Amazing Story.
This has become my all-time favorite classic book ever since I’ve read it five years ago. I’ve read it and watched the movies multiple times. I can’t recommend it enough.
This was such a good book and I really enjoyed it.
I am ten and this book is good and confusing
This book is Definitely worth reading till the end
I’m pretty young, and not used to reading books like this. It was kind of hard to understand at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was a fun read!! Reading it seemed to drag on a little, but I tend to be impatient, so don’t take my word for it.
I was very surprised at how TERRIBLE this book was. Even Elmo was better. So I will say it once and once only. The amount of boringness in this book is ASTRONOMICAL
this book was really bad, very boring, and has a disgusting amount of details.check out T.N.T by ac/dc
I had to read this for school and my teacher made it sound like this book was gonna be so interesting and drama-filled but most of the book was very predictable with no big plot twists. But some parts were good and I like the way it was written
I really enjoyed the beginning, but then the book just took too long. Interesting story, I guess, but eventually there was more description than character development and action. If you’re looking for a book like this with more action, I would recommend Jane Eyre. No offense to anyone who likes this book!
Thoroughly enjoyed this classic and can’t recommend it enough.
This was my first book I ever read by Austen and I LOVE IT.
Although it starts off slow, by the end the characters and story elements wind together into a beautiful tapestry.
Decided to delete social media and spend the quarantine getting back into books. I picked this one and am so so glad I did. Such a page turner! I found myself so internally excited at certain points could not put it down. It was like stepping into a time machine! I also really enjoyed the convenience of Apple Books allowing you to so easily display word definitions with out truly interrupting the read.
Such a page turning classic! Good quarantine read
I DONT understand the book I started to read like the first couple pages I don’t understand what’s going on at all can someone help me plzzzzz
I know that this is a classic, so the rest of the teenagers out there are thinking ‘boring!’ But hear me out. This is pretty much our lives! Sure it’s a bit formal and chaste, but this is so classic that it became a stereotype that we used in elementary and middle schools (remember the ‘you hate her, and she hates you so you guys are totally made for each other’ thing) I mean you will never regret reading this book in the long run. Maybe you’ll regret reading it at a certain time, but you can’t hate it. Unless you’re too dumb to get the humor, then go ahead.
I stopped the reading once at my junior year. And I do wish I have read the book before I entered the university. It’s really good book about pride and prejudice.
I don’t read for pleasure but it was surprising how difficult I found myself to put down,
I really loved the story even though I am not one to dive into romance books. This book offered some good love stories: one happy at the beginning, one with a rocky middle story and of course the one that was unexpected. I really liked this novel and it kind of inspired me to go looking for love.
Great book. Highly recommend
A literary Classic!
The English it’s written is has never been my strength in reading, but the more I read the easier it was to understand, and the outcome was a beautiful story of two very different people. Very happy I finally read the story I’ve heard so much about.

As I kept reading it, I was getting roped into this amazing story by Jane Austen. Amazing!
I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book. I heard of this title a long time ago but thought it was about something different...boring actually.... but I was quite surprised after I started it that I couldn’t put it down. I loved the old language, sometimes having to re-read a paragraph to understand what I just read. I would definitely recommend it. It was a great read.
Simply stands the test of time, and remains a glimpse into the manners of an age and an England before the inevitable degradation of industrialization. An annual read. Delightful!
I love this story with all my heart, it really just satisfies my soul! •For everyone who doesn’t like it because you don’t understand Old English, just use a dictionary (or for apple, hold down on the word and press “look up”) it’s not that hard and it’s worth it to broaden your vocabulary and learn historical facts! Honestly it’s easy enough to follow, so don’t be afraid, it’s 100% worth it!
What is a great book!
An excellent experience to read this book! It is amazing how the characters unfold and the clarity with which their feelings are described are touching and so real. Relatable even in the 21st century!
Who am I to give such a book any less than 5 stars? If you can get through all the back and forth about this man and that manor etc, there are some gems to be found here. Sure, I was required to read it for my university class and I will never read it again. That being said I do not regret it. And I am glad I finally got through it so I can read a good science fiction or fantasy novel.
I couldn't relate much with the characters and I didn't see much spark between the two leads... I was really into the novel however I wouldn't recommend it as the best of romance.
It's a really good book to keep you busy for a couple of weeks. And since it's not written in modern english (and english is not even my first language), it was a little hard for me to understand some parts... But overall it's a great book.
Bad
Finally read this book and I devoured it!
This is one of the most beautifully written love stories of British litterature. It is delicate, sensitive, fresh, and true. Funny, exhuberant, and unpredictable, I so very recommend it. If you have read it and enjoyed it as much as I, you might also love Sense and Sensibility (same author). Wuthering Heights as well as Jane Eyre, two of my favourite books, are also masterpieces and are written by the Brontë sisters. Enjoy!
Very interesting classic of the English literature, especially to know more about customs and patterns of life in England before the era of TV, internet and so on...
I was told a long time a ago that this book is good but I resisted in reading probably to many people told me to read it, but now I truly was engrossed in it and enjoyed reading immensely.
I have been reading this book at least once a year for the last decade. I still get emotionally attached to the characters, and it brings a peacefulness while I read it. I recommend it for any historical romance enthusiasts.
This was a most lovely book to read😃
Excellent!
This book was amazing, I loved the writing,
Funny and entertaining!
This is my fav romance of all time :) I could not stop reading and highly recommend it!
Has anyone ever noticed that Ms. Tutweiller, from Suite Life On Deck, read this? HAHA
Reading this book for the millionth time (except on my iPhone this time) has made me appreciate it even more. A classic love story, I would rather read this book than any other love story that came out in the past 10 years. Jane Austen's writing might be hard to understand for some people but the story is so good that it can be easily overlooked. I highly recommend it! Whether you are young or old, read it and fall in love with a timeless classic.
This is my favourite Jane Austen book!!!
It was a good book. A little hard to follow at times due to the old english way of speaking, but I really liked how I got to know parts that were dropped with the movie.
Great
This is one of my favorite books. It is a timeless classic. Jane Austen was a wonderful author and her books are a delight to read
So delightful!
This is a sad excuse for a book, every one should be burned!
The best book I've read so far! The old English takes a little getting used to but this book is completely worth it! The plot and characters make you feel as if you're in the book!
It was really unexpected. I have never seen the movie and thought rather badly of this book (without any valable reasons I admit). But I absolutely loved it! It have it all, it is readable (for those of you out there who are nervous like I was), the characters have a profondness that is very suprising and the story itself is quite fantastic! It is a must read!
I love this book! The love that Mr.Darcy shows throughout and the spunk of Lizzy, makes it one of the best live stories of all time. Not to mention her ridiculous mother....
Pride and prejudice is jane austens most well read famous novel. This classic tale shows how two lovers overcame the differences and misgivings in their class and character to live in happiness.
If you can get into the olde style language, you will be rewarded with great characters and twist of plot.
Great page turner.
I don't think I have enjoyed any novel as much as this. Such a beautiful and intelligent plot. I found the old-English language made it a little difficult to read at first but it gets easier and is worth sticking it out. A must read.
This book is so worth the time it takes to read, if you're discouraged by the size of a book, think of it as reading two amazing books, because 2 books are necessary to compare to this. The Great Gatsby is the only other book I've enjoyed this much.
Amazing
Enjoyed this book once I got into the characters
With love
A little bit of history, a little bit of vocabulary, wonderful characters with so much realism. Knowing the endings simply makes the journey to get there more pleasurable. I recently watched the Keira Knightley film (awful) and again watched the Colin Firth tv series (so true to the book), so I thought it was time I read the book again. Whilst reading I found a treatise online regarding transport in Jane Austen’s time, which added to my enjoyment and knowledge. I understood what a phaeton was, and a chaise and a postillion.
Such a drama and scary
Absolutely love this book and read it quite often.
The romanticism in Jane Austen's art of writing makes me believe that should the characters be dull, I would still madly love it for the way in which she writes so beautifully.
I read it every year at Xmas then watch the mini series. Never fails to make me happy and wish that I might be another Mr Collins.
I noticed this was trending and remembered it being mentioned in a book about a guy who was failing his English exam because he had to read this book. He never finished it though. Poor Mikey.
A timeless tale that is thoroughly engaging and enjoyable to read!
Read this 3 decades ago….and now again. very soon after watching “bride and Prejudice” on WIN TV..Really enjoyed the book.
a great lesson for us all.
By far the best of the classics I have ever read. I never tire of the characters and enjoy reading it time and again.
Very inspiring.
Jane Austen has a particular way with the olde English language. She writes in such a way that one has to focus while reading, however it is really worth the effort to get the most out of each scene. First impressions so easily made and so difficult to alter. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and plan on reading other works in her catalogue. Thank you Jane. Well done.🎶💞
Enjoyed the book imemsly Also my husbands name is Mr Darcy So I get pleasure reading of him
Really enjoyed this book. Only problem I had was that some names weren't included, eg: a street name was left blank or a line was in its place. Other than that it was great.
Pride & prejudice is so hard to understand! I find myself reading a sentence 4 times just to figure out what it means. I'm halfway through the book, and Elizabeth still barely knows Darcy. There's a new character every five pages and way too many proposals.
A period romance, delightfully told. Jane Austen had a real perception of character. This is a truely good read.
Funny, charming, witty....can't believe that I haven't read Jane Austen before. Am reading Sense and sensibility next - I am hooked.
My favourite story of all time, such brilliant characters and such an accurate reflection of human nature! A true classic!
Honestly, one of the best books ever written! There should have been a sequel. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Best of all her novels.
This has jumped to my favourite of favourites. It was just magical the way it all unfolded in the end. Thank YOU Jane Austen xx
Delightful classical reading! Love this book!!!
Pride and prejudice is my all time favorite classic followed closely by sense and sensibility and David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Mr Darcy...
I loved reading this book :)
Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" is a wonderful, thrilling, heartbreaking book from cover to cover. Although this book is difficult to understand, because even though it is in Old English, the story's plot is heartwarming, and interesting. The main reason I rated it 3/5 is because I couldn't make out the text inside the book. Overall I loved this book. Thanks Jane Austen!!! (I like Lizzy)
Absolutely loved it. I want a Mr Darcy!!
It strikes me that "teen gossip about boys' and the adolescent angst of working out 'who's who in the zoo' have not changed. Nor has the concept of choosing a societally acceptable partner. Papered over the gender-repressive institutions of the day, Pride and Prejudice almost begs to be read aloud like Shakespeare. Wonderfully theatrical characters. Enjoy!
I thought I ought to read an acknowledged classic, but didn't expect to LOL in several places and be in tears in others. Not just a chicks book after all!
Lollipop is an imbecile
This is a boring book that doesn't have anything to do with the title the end of this comment
This book is absolutely magnificent, from the first word all the way to the last it hooks you and keeps you thinking, all the time of Mr. Darcy and Miss. Bennet. Beutifully paced, amazing characters and just enoght tension to leave you wanting more. I reccomend this to 12+ and ALL people 12+.
Always the best of reads
This book is amazing. You have to read it.
The beginning was rather slow and tedious but as you prevail through the course of the book, the tension and longing to understand Miss Bennet and Mr Darcy’s feelings for one another becomes almost unbearable to the point in which it is always on your mind. It has truly revolutionised my ideas of romance.
Couldn’t stop reading it as soon as I started. Really engaging work
The novel is best practiced in this piece of art.
It was a good book but a little slow
This novel is one of my favourites of all time. I’m a big fan of Jane Austen novels. The book is beautifully paced. The characters are compelling, the romance is moving and the angst and tension is perfectly executed. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and I look forward to reading more of her works in the future. I’m sure many others will enjoy this book and other Austen work.
Really easy to read and funny too
Timeless, classic, my favourite
Jane Austen at her witty peak.
I could not let go of this book!
Orsi
This literary classic continues to warm heart with its good humour and intriguing ideas. Well-structured and beautifully written this novel remains a favourite.
Elizabeth bennet needs to chill
My favourite book, ever. I just love the underlying humour and the strength of characters. Brilliant.
i got aids
Absolutely fascinating first chapter, captured me right into the depths of the book and am sure I will take a great amount of concentration into the rest of the book!
Providing a review of this most famous novel by Jane Austen would be audacious indeed, but let me state that my interest in Miss Austen's work was sparked by my recent visit to her house in Chawton. I enjoyed reading (perhaps re-reading) the novel so greatly, that I drew out the experience by rationing my sessions, absorbing and savouring the skills of this infinitely accomplished author. Thank you Miss Austen.
I return to this novel every few years and find more detail within than I can recall from previous visitations. Primarily it is the wonderful exchanges between the characters which I find so enjoyable and rich. The phrasing is extraordinary and so descriptively rich, beyond anything heard or written today, that it takes me a few chapters to adjust to the tone and detail in the narrative. It's wonderful and so enriching.
A beautiful, timeless, book.
Honestly, Austen's Pride & Prejudice is simply irreplaceable. The story, the characters, the feel of the book, it's just amazing. Must read!!!!
A very enjoyable work.
Wonderful. Never have I enjoyed conversation both friendly and the latter of two people, and eagerly anticipated it's return as with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth.
Absolute classic!
It is of a book that deserves the most loved. I am so much in love with this book.
We have all seen TV and film adaptations of this wonderful story but Jane Austen's written words are pure joy.
Great book. Greatest English writer!
Chapters 7, 8, 9 are midding completely, the reading style doesn’t flow easy. When listening the book doesn’t keep playing like music does when the device goes to sleep but stops meaning you have to keep touching the screen and there isn’t easy to listen to when wanting to rest.
I just loved every chapter of this novel. It was thrilling and emotional and romantic. Can't wait to read more of Jane Austen. 😊
Such a lovely story
In tears. I will never tire of reading this book. I cannot count the number of times this makes. I am happily off to now watch the BBC adaptation with Colin Firth to add to my extreme happiness at this moment. If you've never experienced the delights of Pride and Prejudice. Read it now! You won't regret it.
I couldn't put it down, I got lost in the world of Lizzy and enjoyed every moment. One if the best romance books I've come across.
I've read this book so many times and still savour ever word as if I'm reading it for the first time. Glorious!
I had to read this for school but got so incredibly board of it I've skipped it and I'm googling about it instead!! It's ridiculously boring !!
English traditional romance=perfect
Imagine Bridget Jones in the 18th c and here is the story that formed many of the subplots in Helen Fieldings masterpiece Fall in and out of love with the protagonist and rediscover the rise of the female voice
Jane Austen is the reason I love classics! Pride and prejudice is one of my all time favourite books. Perfectly romantic! I love this book and I'm only 12! If that doesnt prove to people how good this book is, nothing will!
If you love a perfect love story, you will love pride and prejudice. I love it and I'm only 15, pride and prejudice is much better than fifty shades of grey. I'd prefer to have a mr darcy than mr grey!!!!!
A real classic. It's an addictive read. Having re-read it again on my iPad I found richer understanding of it later in life and in such comfort of a 'thin' book! A gem for romantics and it teaches delayed gratification, a couple of centuries on.
A most excellent. Very easy to re-read.
A really good book. A classic must read
The only problem I have with this book is that I left it far too long before reading it.
Very very good read would says among my best reads of the year:))
Is it just me or does the third chapter not belong to Pride and Prejudice at all? It's replaced with a chapter from a completely different book. I've deleted it and downloaded it again and it's still the wrong chapter. What's going on!!!
It was a good
Brilliant book, such a classic. A few odd type-errors in this edition but they can easily be overlooked.
1 of the greatest love stories ever written.
Beautiful, a true joy to read!
I had to do an assesment on this book and it is very much like the tv series with collin ferth. It is the nearest to the paperback and its free! THANKS APPLE! Up up and away!!!

It’s a classic for a reason! Truly one of the best books I have ever read.
The romantic aspect of the book is what interested me at first, but the drama and the characters growing and learning is what sucked me into their world. The detail describing the place or the people and their emotions make you feel as if you are there with the characters. The relationship between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy is something you read about and don’t want to stop reading about. The passion and fire between the two is something I hope to have.
Not to be dramatic, but Pride and Prejudice is the greatest book of all time, and you have not truly lived until reading it. I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the words, which laid the foundation for my love of Jane Austen. It was too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew It had begun.
This is one of those books that makes you truly feel invested. One of those books that makes you look at the themes within it, in this case love, personal will, and duty, at work in your own life. READ IT.
Dear Mr Darcy, Thank you for your detailed account of your adventures in love. Where do I start? I mean it’s not a bad book, from a historical fiction setting perspective... but the love story and the girl chit-chats were a bit much for the 16 year old me. Would not recommend for males readers... Would recommend Pride and Prejudice:Zombies for male readers, adds a little bit of flavor to essentially the same story line! Sincerely, Mr Bingley
I had to read this for my English class. To sum it up it was a waste of time. Nothing here that I learned made me want to time travel for my live regrets
Interesting book it mocks the idea of marriage for wealth 👰🏼🤵🏼=💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💵💴💶💷💰💰💰💰💸💵💳💰💵💶💶💴💵💳💴
This book reminded me so much in style and storyline of Little Women, which is one of my all-tome favorites. There is a type of relationship for everyone in this book, and I see my own self and relationship relating best to Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. It was a great read, and I loved being able to enjoy it on my phone or at home seamlessly.
For those who say it is utter garbage, are stupid and don’t understand it from Janes view. Utter garbage Is no where near what they say. I love this book and it’s 1 of the best out there. You don’t have to be sophisticated to understand it, but if you say it’s utter garbage after reading it... you are just 100% stupid. This is a classic book. Very well written and very well presented
Plot? Uninteresting. Characters? Flat. Moral? Beaten into the reader like a black man’s wife.
And it’s FREE!
I cannot express how beautiful Jane Austen’s writing style and how deep her insights are. Read and learn my friends, read and learn.
This is my most favorite book. I read it several times a year If a person pays attention they will find many life lessons in this book. It is so much more than a love story
A perfect book for any reader. The whole concept and character choice is great!
I just couldn’t put this book down! I ended up reading it in all of an hour!
Appreciating this book the older I get
This book is very good very good
The best book ever made in history!!!!!!
Great book.
My I start by saying only recently have i aquired a true taste for reading. Upon starting pride and prejudice i was nearly sure i’d bitten off more than I could chew… but the further i read, the less i hoped it to end. Absolutely beautifuly writen, and will leave you biting at your nails-just as mine have suffered. As it has aged there apears to be (at least in my opinion) a sarcastic tone in many a charecter loved, something i believe actually adds to the relatibility of such a strong work. Officially on my top 10 list. If you have trouble with the dialog i’d suggest to listen while you read, you can find free audio on youtube.
Nothing bad to say, I read this book at least once a year.
It took a lot of concentration to read the old style writing, but it was worth it! It was exciting to be able to catch the subtle nuances.
The writing and characterization are delicious. I especially love the dry wit of Mr. Bennet and hilarious flattery and naked social parasitism of Mr. Collins. Bennet joking about how fond he is of Wickham: “He is as fine a fellow as I ever saw. He simpers and smirks and makes love to us all. I am prodigiously proud of him.” Delightful. I reread many passages several times just to savor such writing, as well as frank mockery of Mr. Collins, Lady Catherine and other worthies.
I love it so much! It never gets old.
I can read this novel again and again... My favorite book of all time!
10/10 would read again
Fantastic!
I love the story so much! I read the book almost 3 times! I give this book 100,000,000,000,000 HUGE thumbs up 👍! I totally recommend this book!!
It was a page turn It was captivating from beginning to the end
Excellent book I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much. It’s a bit slow to start.
The best Jan Austen novel!
Just as good as the movie!!
Never knew this book was this good! I wolfed it down!
Read it. You’ll love it.
I have lost count how many times I have read this wonderful book. All of Jane Austin's books are great reads and bring alive the mores of the times when common courtesy, respect, and etiquette were so important.

Great book
Better than the movie, but see the Lizzie Bennet Diaries on YouTube for a different take (you're welcome:)
Absolutely one if the best books I have ever read!! I definitely will read this book often. So beautiful a story!! An inside look of English Society, how lovely! I recently discovered thru DNA that my ancestors were from England. I loved learning about the lives of people who were similar to my ancestors!! Would definitely recommend! Marsha Mirrione Oklahoma
An amazing read! If you liked the movies you love the book. It adds a deeper understanding which is very cool to compare to the TV series.
The story in the book, is what you do when you really love the person. So beautifly written! I am reading this book every year :)

Always a pleasure to read and re-read
After reading it for the first time, you understand why it's a classic loved by so many.
This book is absolutely amazing and deserves all the positive recognition that it receives!
This is one of the best books out. READ THIS BOOK. THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. WONDERFUL. SENSATIONAL. THE BEST. No but seriously this book is filled with funny moments and sarcasm and sadness and everything you could ever need. This book is truly amazing. People tend not to give older books a chance but if you want to read something like you've never read before then read this. I fell in love with Mr Darcy before Lizzy did. I hated his arrogance but loved his secret affection for her. She was in fact, handsome enough to tempt him. It was beautiful. And Mr Bingleys character was just wonderful. Him and Jane were just beautiful together. The book overall is something you could never stop enjoying.
Wow... Sadly I have not read this book until now, in my late 20's... And I am infatuated with it, that given some time, I will revisit it. Such a beautiful, yet thought provoking, message about the pride of oneself in believing in what you first see and having prejudices against one without properly coming to know them for who they really are and believing so much that you can not be wrong until given the opportunity to come to understand someone's true self and how what is perceived is not always as it is... Such a great lesson even in today's world. I absolutely loved it!
