The Heroin Diaries. This is a wonderful, gritty read. I highly recommend this book to everyone, even if you haven’t listened to Motley Crue or you’re not familiar with Nikki Sixx, this book is stand alone a great read. I especially think those with a drug problem should read this book & I pray you will find some inspiration from it!

The resilience of the human body never ceases to amaze me.. It is absolutely amazing that this man is alive. I'm very happy that he (says) has found happiness. Hopefully peace is part of his bounty as well. A great read. Full of laughs too.

A Rollercoaster of what Struggle and hardship really means. Nikki Sixx is a living (barely) example of a man who figured life out. He went down every path a man can go down and made it back to tell the tale. Reading this book, for me, was a relateable journey of self realization. And ive NEVER even gone near any drugs except weed. It just goes to show how many people suffer from depression and how many people would do anything in there power to make it stop. As Chris Cornell said, "Love heals all wounds with time" and Nikki proved that with this year in the life diary. Every day he lived through was a struggle and I dont care how happy you say you are, nobody is perfect. Nikki put everything into this and more, he even had his bandmates and friends join in and give their opinions because thats what self realization is about. I think everyone out there that struggles with any form of depression should read this book. I suffered from a deep personal depression that didn't reach anywhere outside of my own head. And to read this book and know that a lot of Nikki's struggles were similar to mine is so comforting. The parallels and connections in this book to me were uncanny. For example, Nikki died on my birthday, and also was married on my birthday. To me that shows that even when a day is remembered as a day of infamy, it can always be replaced and fixed by a day of joy. The real message in this book isnt about drugs for me. Its about life and how to get back up even when your buried six feet deep. When life gets tough, its up to you to turn it around. I believe that is where Nikki was going with this book, and he surely succeeded. Thank you Mr. Sixx for having the courage to not only release these diary entries, but also use them to help people like myself. You are an inspiration, and I honestly feel like I know you after reading this. You are a hero, and I know you'll be glad to hear, this book definitely did help at least one person. Keep rockin', Sixx.

Excellent Read Very Grafic and insightful. As a person who can truthfully say I have never read a book from cover to cover. I read this book front to back in 4 days. I couldn't wait to read what was going to come next. Nikki I give you all the credit in the world for laying that time in your life out for everyone to read wether it changes the way they look at you good or bad. It also shows that no matter how far you fall you can fight your way to the top. Nikki you are an inspiration to anyone who has or has had an addiction problem. You proved it could be overcome. A warning to parets this is not a book for kids under a certain age. What that age is is up to you and depends on how mature your child is. i would suggest that parents read it first before just handing it over for the teenagers to read. Wether or not you can tell i love this book and have read it numerous times. 5 stars

Very good book!. This book was very eye opening! I think that it was a well told life story. It's nice to see that no matter how much of the glitts and glam you see some still have there own demons to work out.

Nikki Sixx. Nikki drives home the point: we addicts are our own worst enemies and that by letting go, we can claw our way out of our self created hell. Good book for any who wonders "do I really need sobriety"?

What the hell!. A friend of mine loaned it to me and I couldn't put it down. So I had to go buy it for myself to read it again. Worth every penny. The journal entries are mostly chaotic at best, but gripping as hell. Anybody normal person would've died having do what he did, as often as he did. Buy it and read it.

The most amazing story of a rockstar.... I'm not a person who is really big on reading books, but my step-dad gave me this book to read and i must say, this is THEE most AMAZING book to ever exist. If you like anything about the Crue, about Nikki Sixx, or stories about hardship and struggle; PLEASE READ THIS!!!! It is a true inspiration. It really gives you insight into how hard of a life he has lived, and how hard of a life ANY rock star in general lived back in those times. If you are ever going to read another book in your life, PLEASE MAKE IT THIS ONE!!! I promise you, you will not be able to put it down. Best story ever told.

Fake Diary. This story sounds very made up for number of reasons. I don’t think anyone with a raging heroin addiction could write anything this coherent. It seems too convenient that it runs from one Xmas to the next. I don’t believe it.

Loved it !. Honestly it's an amazing book . Sixx is someone who should be admired . I have nothing to relate to in the book but do see people heading in the drug world and can only imagine how scary it is. Great job sixx your awesome .

An understanding of addiction. I picked up this novel at a bookstore about 3 years ago not knowing what to expect. I've never been a big fan of Crue, but I've respected what they have done for the music industry. I knew a little bit about Nikki and his dealings with drugs. 15 years ago, at the age of 11, I lost my father to addiction of a different kind (alcohol). I spent many years trying to understand what he was dealing with, why he did what he did, and what affect it had on my life. Since my early 20's I've battled with my own demons and tried to make sure my relationship w/ the bottle wasn't a need-based one. After reading this book, I gained an intense insight into the world of addiction, and finally gained an inner understanding into my father's downward spiral. This is an amazing book for anyone who has struggled with addiction or knows someone that has been a victim of it.

I relate to him so much bc my mother too was abusive and basically gave me to my grandma and then said she took me from her and just the addiction I have. I think it’s one of the Best books. I read it twice. Love Nikki Sixx and his crazy life. Rock n roll and Mötley Crüe forever.

This book actually tells people what the real life of a rockstar is like nikki took it way out there but maybe it'll give people the message drugs are bad Mkay, Just the sense that I got from the book I looked at the pictured and imagined myself there and nikki sixx is one of my most favorite artists anyways and this book has been out of a bit I remember when he first started advertising it and I was like oh that's rad, and then here's 2013 where I actually read it it gave me a new perspective on somethings and teaches me how to deal with other stuff and I read this book while on vacation for about 3 or 4 days everyday I would read it I love it so much I never have replayed or re ridden anything I definitely would re read this book though.

Thank you. I've always been a motley fan, especially of Nikki, but never identified with addiction or teenage angst. I was the perfect child in my perfect family, but this book helped me see how my very imperfect brother suffered inside our white picket fence. I understand a little more now about the deep pain that addiction stems from. My brother is a recovering addict -three years sober-and this book has helped me initiate some honest and healing conversations with him. Thanks to Nikki for his candor.

Heroine diaries by Nixxie Sixx. I bought this book and I loved it. I have read it 3,4 times. What's sad is I could relate. Been there done that. I have since straightened up. When they say how much cocaine they did. I don't believe the amounts he claimed to do??? I had plenty of cash would. Consume in a night by himself. I was a upper level dope dealer n the doper so I had as much of coke I wanted. I believe if he did a ounce of this coke he would be dead. I understand all about Tolerance. Like I said I sniffed it for years then smoked it for another G

Crazy but I Love it!! Reels me in!. I am definitely not a "reader" (actually hate to read even though I am a teacher) but this book reels me in!! So crazy that he is sane enough in his drugged up state to essentially be his own psychiatrist &so honest in his journals about knowing he didn't want that life for himself however can't stop the insanity. Also I can really get into this book where he is "messed up" but yet couldn't stick with his other book "This is gonna hurt" he wrote when he was sober. Don't quite know what that says about me????

Insightful Book About Nikki Sixx. I was a big Crüe fan growing up in the 80's. This book provided an interesting and scary look behind the curtain of "prosperity". Love love love. I’ve never done drugs or even tried them but have loved ones battling. This real life story will help you gain insight on some of the feelings and tribulations a loved one might be feeling when going through addiction. It’s a must read!!!

The Heroin Diaries. Wow! What an eye-opener!!!!! I've been a huge fan of Nikki & The Crüe since jr high (25+ yrs ago) and I couldn't stop reading this book. I laughed and cried out loud during the whole time I read it. This novel is a must read for fans, clean or addicts. I've never touched the stuff and after the inside story of Nikki's self torture, I can't imagine who would want to. Nikki is a super strong man filled with love, creativity and demons. What a combination. His story is so inspiring to ANYBODY who ever said "I can't". Read The Heroin Diaries". You'll never say "I can't" again.

Thanks for sharing your private life Nikki. Many emotions were felt as I read through this book. I had a brother that didn't make it through an addiction and I now can understand some of what he dealt with when trying to quit drugs and lead a better life. Hopefully it will help others who are drug dependent make a choice to discontinue use.

Amazed. I'm a life long Crüe fan but had no idea the behind scenes Nikki's life was, I thought it was a glamorous party life that anybody wanted, now I can see that the struggles he had, some we can all relate to. Being raised by addicts and a former addict myself, reading this book makes me feel stronger. Ultimately God gives me strength and eyes to see how bad drugs are through stories like Nikki.

5stars. Amazing book. As an addict myself this book at times was a little difficult to read because of how much it brought me back to a place I was in. Overall this book demonstrates the struggles of addiction & the hopes of recovery. I would recommend this book for anyone to read, addict/alcoholic or not. Gives you a new perspective on life.

Nikki Sixx. This book spoke a lot to me cause I was an addict for years and didn't know I was. I was also a drunk and hurt everyone around. But my Mum and my Girlfriend stuck with me and never gave up. This book showed me I'm not alone in my struggle to stay clean and sober. I've also learn to let things go for my own good. For anyone who has been looking for a good book about true events and someone who found themselves this is for you. Way to go Nikki.

The heroin diaries. Awesome book! there's something oddly addicting about reading about addictions, Nikki's story bares it all. I'm a student and came across this book in the backseat of a friends car, soon as i started reading it I was hooked unknowing who this guy is. Am I really that sheltered? I heard him first on the radio and couldn't believe he is the same guy as in the book. It really shows a person of strong character. life is a journey and if the heroin diaries isn't proof of that enough than I don't know what is!

The Heroin Diaries. Just finished reading this book and it was like wow. I've been a crue fan from the beginning and never knew all this happened. This book opened my eyes to the hell Nikki was going though. Thank you for beating this and staying longer to do everything you have.

Dark. I just finished The Heroin Diaries. Very dark, but a great read. I wish Nikki the best, he seems to have risen above his addictions and is now living with a purpose. This book is disgusting, disturbing, funny, scary, and in the end heartwarming.

I never really knew much about Nixxi until I read this book. What a crazy ride your were a mad man to say the least... Whoa!. This is by far my favorite book ever! Nikki Sixx did an amazing job of showing us just how horrible his life was and what all he was going through. Some parts are scary in a way, but others just make you feel sorry for him. I have read this book probably 20 times. Every time I read it, I can never put it down until I finish it. It just keeps you wondering what's gonna happen next. It's great! And you need to read it.

A masterpiece. Really loved it and couldn't put it down. Very relatable to those of us that have been down the highway to hell and lived to tell the tale.
