C.S. Lewis-Makes Readers Work! What a Wild Read!. Talk about good close reading material, The Screwtape Letters would be superb! Written from the viewpoint of the tempter in a genius manner that requires much of the reader! Wonderful workout for your brain as well as food for thought spiritually!

Unique!. I think Mere Christianity is a great place to start, but enjoyed this book even more. It's a clever read and I thoroughly enjoyed it's wry understated humor.

A book for everyone. Even non-believers will find a great deal of thought provoking insights in this cleverly written book. There is such a profound understanding of human nature there, that it makes you also step back a moment and look at your own behavior through the demon's lens. It's a quick read, but I bet you'll find yourself coming back to it again and again.

My Favorite Book of All-Time. “Screwtape Letters” is the best book I have ever read. It has had a profound impact on my life on the way I view the every day ups and downs we all inevitably go through. This is a religious book, but even if you aren’t religious, it provides tremendous insight into the human struggle. The creativity and genius of C.S. Lewis in this text, in my opinion, is almost unrivaled.

A most excellent and needed read. The Screwtape Letters is an amazing book looking into the darkness of Hell itself concerning human affairs. Everyone, Christian and non-Christian alike, should give this book a read and you will be haunted by how accurately and disturbingly it speaks to us in the modern day. Great book!

Very intriguing. This book had me thinking / pondering / learning constantly. As a Christian person, it was enlightening to think of things from the perspective of these devils and gleam gospel truths from their reality. Very interesting. I’d recommend to anyone to read this book!

New cultural relevance. It shocks and amazes me that a book like this could be written at the beginning of WWII, and yet still holds specific cultural relevance for today. Secular topics like Social Justice and Democracy vs. Socialism are covered in depth and the undermining of basic Christian principles by the World, the Flesh, and the Devil (or his minions) gave my heart and mind much to digest. If you have thought about reading this book for sometime (like I have), make that time now. C.S. Lewis has much to say about the things that effect our Nation, our Church, and ourselves.

A classic. A work of spiritual, psychological, and intellectual clarity and brilliance. Never did fiction make reality either so clear or accessible. Read it! Every year.

Definitely my favorite book. ever since I reread it a few months ago, ive found myself picking The Screwtape Letters up again and again, practically devouring it every time. This book is really interesting and stimulating because this was written in a different time and place - sometimes i have to look up words lol. but it also really makes you think, because it's not a shallow book at all; it's very spiritual. as a Christian it's also helpful because it's kind of like reverse psychology (i guess) - you kind of know now how an enemy would try to trick you, so now you're prepared for its schemes... like how Screwtape says for his nephew to try to push all the good deeds towards the outside of his circle like donating to causes for people in developing countries - but to keep all the bad stuff in the center of the man's circle like still being mean to his mom. Idk if that makes sense lol but anyway. Even if you're not a Christian you should read it. It's kinda funny too in a cynical way. Who knows? maybe this book will convince you to be one. I hope that because of reading C.S. Lewis' book, unbelievers realize how much they need God and that many have already done so. (I do not mean that The Screwtape Letters is the way to salvation.) ANYWAY i got off track. Great book. now stop reading my review and read The Screwtape Letters

Creative and enlightening. This is my favorite book by c s lewis. It is a wonderfully deep book, yet it is a relatively easy read.
