Put Kids to Bed Early…. First, let me tell that I do not normally read this genre. I was intrigued by the title and later the smooth pace of the story. An assassin who stirred up a hornets nest. And this is all I will tell you. Please read “The Gray Man.” You will not be disappointed, nor will you be bored. Enjoy.

The Gray Man… black n white. Fast moving preposterous tale of multiple nefarious assassins of which “good” guy master of death the Gray Man is star. It’s a pretty quick read if you want a distraction at the beach or on a plane. This makes 007’s exploits seem a documentary… Take your shot or not… time to reload.

DiveDog101

Wow!. Heart pounding fantastic read. Unable to put it down until completed .

Rod1947TX

The Gray Man. Greaney writes tactical and hand-to-hand battle scenes better than any other author. Having read other books in the Gray Man series, I found the plot in this, the series’ first book, far too unbelievable. 12 different hit teams after him in a small part of Europe?! In addition, the accumulation of our hero’s wounds, the last extremely severe, required our suspension of disbelief to finish the book. But, his other books are believable and at the absolute pinnacle of this genre.

Not Orphan X. I like action / adventure. The Gray Man certainly qualifies, however, I was invested in most every character except Court Gentry. Frustrating.

G. Silva

Very thrilling!. Love the adjectives used to described the scenes! Very vivid! Great story-telling, keeping you on the edge of the your sat every step of the way!

Fxfixr

The Gray Man. Terrible writing and a ridiculous plot. Likely written by a fifth grade boy.

LAG1956

Loved it. Hard to keep up w all the military details , but I couldn’t put it down.

Gray Man. An "Outstanding" read, grabs your attention from page 1 and never lets go.

Great start.... My first Grey Man, and am hooked!

Qslqthqsy

The Gray Man. Fiction to the max. Nonstop action. Emulate Court Gentry at your risk.

BABS is the name.

Too much of the same narrative. Way too wordy

Fast Paced and Heart Rack g. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book to the point of not wanting to put it down. Good characters and well written even with the fast pace.

Stefano177

High energy and drama read for espionage fans. Fast paced book with the appropriate number of twists and interesting characters. The book doesn’t have to be believable in terms of the Gray Man’s abilities, its here to entertain, and that it does.

Firefighter-Dalton

Thrilling Read. Great book. Plenty of action. Highly recommend.

Dexico11

The Gray Man. A good read but with at least one really embarrassing error by the author and editor. In chapter 9 it is stated that Luanda is the capital of Botswana when of course it’s the capital of Angola. Really unacceptable error

Spankyliciousness

I wouldn’t tangle with the Gray Man. The Gray Man is part myth, part legend. A former wet-work specialist with the CIA, he was done dirty and had to forge his own way. He is rumored to have done things and completed missions that are virtually impossible. But those rumors are true. This series is great. It is full of high-adrenaline action that never lets up. The Gray Man, while relentless and, to his enemies, ruthless, has a code of honor regarding civilians and the weak members of society. The remnant of a conscience that he retains gets him in trouble from time to time, as he finds it impossible to hurt an innocent, even if it would save his own life. Fans of action will love this series.

Asma729

Cliched crap. Not worth ninety-nine cents.

ChiantiJB2

Great read. An absolute page turner of a story. Thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns in this fast paced adventure.

New yorker 2019

Paget turner. Hard to put down! Great book!

The GreyMan. 3/5 stars

ChelleBelle!

Now my favorite author. By far the best thriller I have read ! Scott Harvath and Mitch Rapp can't touch Gentry . Hands down baddest character out there!

Craggiothree

Incredible. An amazing book. I could not put it down.

Piegro

So much Fun. I started this book Friday evening and raced right through it. Could not put it down. On to the next I think!!!!

BonomoWJ

Entertaining thriller. Fans of Vince Flynn and Brad Thor books will find a lot to like in this thriller. The Grey Man is an intriguing character, the international locations are used well, and the plot is basic but well constructed. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Fjcan2

Superman?. Reading this genre I enjoy the gutty realism. This book bordered on gutty sci-fi. It was not reality, it was total fantasy. After reading 75% of the book I gave up! I couldn’t continue to read the protagonist Superman qualities. Not what I wanted.

Ballases

The Gray Man. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down! Fast paced action thriller…

Judge nasty

Awesome!. Loved it! Like Jack Reacher on crack

Allenjtie

Quite a ride. Excitement and action never stop! Will want to read the entire series

Puncher62

Great story. Fast paced, interesting. Buying the next one now.

Mike seek

Great stuff!. I’ve always liked the gray man concept!

Nick from Cali

Action-packed literally from start to finish!. I was looking for a series to really sink my teeth into and I may have found it with The Grey Man. Court Gentry is a undeniably cool character and his one man crusade left me wanting more! Can’t wait for the movie next year!!

I Read Because Of James Rollins Comments.... and what a thrill ride it was. Although this is his first "solo" book...see Tom Clancy, Mark has to be the one that put the Clancy Thrill back into Clancy. I first read this book, like to read the author's first book...less expensive and let's me determine if I like the style. I quickly read all three, wish there were more, but I am certain if he continues to put his creative skill, takes his time to please himself and not the publisher... He can keep me going for years to come. I realize that the pressure is on-- from readers, publisher, and others-- as well as the financial rewards-- to write quickly. But, I think back to the one a year (approx.) of Robert Ludlum. (I) knew within the first half-page that his story was going to be a great ride. Mark has created a character that is up there with Jason Bourne. (I am not a paid spokesperson for Mark--nor a friend or person to gain from his success) I just believe that when I receive good service...I tip well. Mark, you gave me Fantastic Enjoyment, and you deserve your own special place in the spot light.

Loved the book and series!. I love the action and intrigue and the constant struggle Court Gentry has with his moral compass. I liked the movie but enjoyed the books much more.

Scott11024

The Gray Man. Awesome. Action packed pure enjoyment.

CoolJosh2.0

The Gray Man. There is no gray area in this book… When I first discovered the gray man I thought it was a lawyer book! 🤣🤣🤣 I was very wrong when I started reading it. It is an amazing start to a great series. Can’t wait for the movie! (Hope it’s good)

Rmechtly

Gripping. Couldn’t put it down! Fast paced and exciting. Can’t wait to read the rest!

Walt Wood

Great series. Thai is the introduction of a great series.

MMTPC

Good Airplane Read. Sit back, relax and enjoy a fun thriller. Jack Reacher meets Jack Ryan.

T4bre

The Gray Man. An interesting thriller somewhat in the Tom Clancy mode but not quite as compelling. I'd still recommend it for a long plane ride.

Questionmark75

Excellent Series. I just finished the first Gray Man series book, and it was excellent. I've read many of these types of books and everything in this book was believable and plausible. Maybe not for an average person, but the Gray Man isn't an average person.

Hans ebfn12469593

A. Quick read with constant action. Highly recommend.

Jmit22

Great book. Thoroughly enjoyed. Found a new series.

MegaProgrammer

Interesting plot with a ridiculous execution. Decent start and ramp up of the story development. Very quickly devolves into a completely unbelievable mess. Basically a book form of a stereotypical Schwarzenegger movie where the hero battles an entire army single handed.

Charlie knuckles

The gray man. Hands down the best of the genre. Sorry Mitch,Scott ,Gabriel, Pike, and Jason. My guy Court. Whew what a book, what a series. I loved this one the most I think. Well done Mark.

Mrenterprise

The Gray Man. Truly awful. Stereotypical characters who are completely unbelievable. Also written by an author who thinks that Luanda is the capital of Botswana!. Cant even get basic geography right. Also having worked in Botswana, the idea that this country of peaceful herders with a nominal defense force could produce a hit team is completely laughable. If this is what constitutes a best seller I need to quit my day job and start writing crap like this.

Jd diver

Riveting. Was looking for a series to replace Reacher. Well written, suspenseful and engaging action. However, got very unbelievable at end no human could continue to function with Gray man’s extensive injuries and bleeding out.

Jwm12

Fantastic!. Really looking forward to delving into the series. Court Gentry is right there with Mitch Rapp and Scot Havarath.

Diablovista

The Gray Man. Like watching a video game. Defeat the bad guys at each level only to face “the boss” at the end of the game to win.
