The Key to Rebecca by Ken Follett Book Summary
Ken Follett’s The Key to Rebecca took readers and critics by storm when first published forty years ago. Today, it remains one of the best espionage novels ever written.

Breathtaking!!. I loved this spy thriller! Follett is a master at transporting the reader to the time and place of the story! What a roller coaster ride!! Right up there with eye of the needle! Follett and LeCarre are masters of this type of story telling, well done!
The Key to Rebecca. The transcription in this book was apparently done by computer; numerous obvious mistakes, the most vexing of which to readers is the confusion between the names Kemel and Kernel, which apparently indicate the same character. Towards the end, as the action picks up, the writing becomes almost juvenile, simplistic and lacks the credibility of the early chapters. An exciting story but the shortcomings leave it less than credible.
Good. A rare masterpiece from a great writer.
Keys to Rebecca. Great book
The Key to Rebecca. I’ve been reading Ken Follett novels for years. My first was Eye of the Needle and I’ve been hooked ever since. The detail, the characters and their development bring you right to heart of the story and the frustrations of war. The Key to Rebecca spoke to the determination of both sides intent on winning the war.....no matter the cost.
A very good book.. There is a lot of action and overall, it is a thrilling experience. There are some rated R moments, so this might not be for the little kids.
Tense and compelling. Loosely based on a history, this is a gripping read with the pace quickening throughout. Characters from heroes to villains are well drawn.
Well done. Great character development. Interesting piece of WWII. Puts you right in the minds of the main characters. The motivation of the characters is well developed.
Key to Rebbeca. Starts out strong but then two thirds through becomes predictable
Rebecca. This book was very similar to Eye of the Needle, With a strong woman helping to destroy the villain in a WW 2 setting. Not impressed.
Always a great story. Wonderful characters, wonderful story of WWII in North Africa.
Rebecca. A good story, good characters, and a decent ending.
The Key to Rebecca. You’d never know this was Follett - pure rubbish.
As all Follett’s books, turns and twists.. OK ending.
Pretty Good. Not one of my favorite books by Ken Follett, just not as suspenseful and the page turner that I have come to expect. Starts off a little slow. On the positive side characters are well developed, however the ending is very similar to other books. Would not recommend.

The Key to Rebecca. Same formula, different names. Spy kills someone…the British are looking for him everywhere and he always gets away…..and a few women in the story …..and the Brit gets the spy and the woman. I have read a few of this author’s books….but I see the pattern now.
A great spy story.. This is a gripping tale. Wonderfully written and with a great location and romance.
