Started my journey . . .. This is one of the first metaphysical books I read and it started off my journal on this amazing spiritual path I find myself traveling today. It is a parable and therefore lends itself as an easy read, as well as making it easy to incorporate it's vibrational message. This is a great introduction into one's beginning understanding of "energy" and eventually All That Is . . .

Very good and easy to read. One of the most entertaining books I've ever read. READ IT!
Had to stop reading. I read one half of this book and had to stop. The books reads like “The Wealthy Barber”, it’s a novelization of concepts. I was ok with that but the “revelations” are just presented without proof. You are expected to acknowledge they exist simply because the main character is experiencing them.

Audio Version Embarrassing. This review is strictly about Lou Diamond Phillips narrating an amazing story. After 3 1/2-4 hrs I could no longer listen to it. Phillips over exaggerated almost every sentence and don’t get me started on the voices he used for some of the characters. After choosing a stereotypical “Bruno” voice in Chapter four, I hit stop and decided to enjoy reading the book on my own. Back in the ‘90s this book changed my life and I thought at 51, it would be nice to revisit the story. So my advice read it, don’t listen to it. BTW, I have listened to 102 audiobooks and this is by far the worst narration of my library.

Divinely timed reading.. I've known about this book for years but have to honestly say if I had read it before most of it would have been lost on me. Reading it now confirmed some things I already new, explained some things I've been struggling with and taught me some new stuff. Will definitely suggest it to others and hope they are ready for its message. Now on to the tenth insight!
meh. while it does make valid points, it is essentially a pyramid scheme in book format. dont forget to read the sequels or you will never reach your full potential!

Enlightening and Expansive. I am already reading the book again as I know that the messages that are interwoven into the adventure are important. The book is exciting and enlightens your knowledge of personal and collective energy in spirituality on so many levels. It Expands your knowledge of how we are connected not only to each other but to nature and how to trust and expand our own personal energy in life. When we do so we have the power to make a positive shift in our surroundings and ultimately our world.
A guide to experience. This book sat on my shelf for a year before I read it, then I picked it up at a time filled with anxiety and a lack of direction. Anyone who understands the first insight will recognize that this is the perfect time for this book. James Redfield is an American writer, lecturer, screenwriter, and film producer. He is notable for his 1993 novel The Celestine Prophecy. Biography Redfield grew up in a rural area near Birmingham, Alabama. He studied Eastern philosophies, including Taoism and Zen, while majoring in sociology at Auburn University. He later received a master's degree in counseling and spent more than 15 years as a therapist to abused adolescents. During this time, he was drawn into the human potential movement and turned to it for theories about intuitions and psychic phenomena that would help his clients.
