Editing. Good story but had why too many grammatical errors. It was like a junior high kid edited it.

YesItsPaige

alright book to kill time.. Lots of grammatical errors, typos & a few words that meant the same thing being used in a sentence but obviously had a different spelling. I’m one who likes to have a smooth read, i also look up words for definitions. & this was a very huge turn off for me. Camile’s past just seemed to be dragged on for too long throughout the book, until the close ending where it was all dealt with. I feel like a kid in school could have written this. Although overall i guess you could say it’s a good book, not biased because i live in Louisiana, but just some parts of the read were really good. Others were alright. I won’t be keeping up with the series, but this was a nice book to read throughout my week.

Harleysof1972

Not Me. Great book really held my attention

Cheeze-it

Not me. Good book keeps your interest didn’t want to stop reading til I reached the end

Didion2

Another Great Series. Great suspense read! Definitely makes you want to keep reading more of this series.

Danieluniss53

Not Me. I thought this book was an okay read. I don’t think I will pursue the series but I’m sure some of you will like it. Happy reading!

Monacasa307

Not Me. It would have been so much better if someone had actually proofread this book. All of the errors were very distracting.

Inveterate reader

Too many errors in text. Great story, but the errors that should have been caught in proofreading slow down the story. Misspellings, misplaced words, grammar errors. Need a new proofreader?

Persimony1

Good plot with unexpected twists.. I could barely put it down. I gave it a 4 star rating simply because I’d tripped over a number of typos, spelling, and some punctuation issues. Other than that it was a good read. Would definitely read more by this author.

Jumbledlots

Will read other titles!. Good story. Fast action.

Retired RECO

Challenging Intrigue & Mystery. A unknown past provides a unique sense of mystery to keep your interest.

Dill chip

Not Me. Riveting, absorbing thriller. Enjoyable chase to find the killer. I wonder why the two cops who confronted the killer were not able to provide a sketch of him to the FBI?

Knj2270233

i really enjoyed reading this book!. As someone that genuinely hates reading, I finished this book in two days! I was bored at work and looking for something else to do besides sit on tiktok. It kept me on my feet and I enjoyed the story line. I will definitely be finishing the series!

Ralphnun1

Not Me. Excellent mystery and story!!!

Crash's Mom

Just bad. Typos and really weak characters. Don’t waste your time. At least it was free.

Ottonabu

Bad grammar. While the story line was good I got so tired of the grammatical errors and the incorrect facts. Did no one proof read this story?

Maryellou

Good book, poor grammar. While the story is excellent and captivating, the spelling and grammatical errors make this book a difficult read for anyone who cares for such things.

Looking for a nickname still

Reviewer. I enjoyed the book, but needs better proofreading.

Rewardmenot

This is terribly edited and left to autocorrect for proofreading, which was a constant distraction.. This is terribly edited and left to autocorrect for proofreading, which was a constant distraction.

Ia_teacher

Good book but lots of mistakes. This is a good book but it had a number of simple mistakes that should have and could have been caught with a good proofreading. It’s sad that it was published with all of those. Spelling mistakes, omitted words, and sentence fragments are a few of the issues. It kind of made me think I was reading something written by one of my sixth grade students!

Zom6478

Me. A lot of typos. Average storyline

Esha d

Good read. I loved that this was based in New Orleans and the character development was excellent! The ending felt a little rushed to me though…

Secret service1

Not Me. Great read. Very engaging

Molecule3d

Same as the usual FBI serial killer series.. It appears that the same author, using different aliases keeps writing the same book over and over. The canny loner woman FBI agent with a dark past and missing sister (yes, they all have missing sisters who disappeared in childhood) faces the crimes of a serial killer with a distinct pattern and solves the mystery. The FBI agent is given a different name, home town and traumatic childhood experience, but essentially the characters and plot are similar. Why not write the continuing saga of a single character?

NorwalkCa

Great read. I enjoyed this book. Looking forward to reading more titles by this author.

Skiplayer1

Dark. The author did a fantastic job with the characters and the plot. This is a dark suspense full of mysterious characters and murder. Great read.

GGRANNY.

Not Me. Good to meet a new FBI Agent. Love her cool attitude. Glad she left the leech she was living with. Cannot wait for the next story😊❣️

Kathywamsley

Not Me. Really good read and would recommend it to others. Thanks k

Singer59

Amazing Book. What a true thiller! This book kept me up long after I should’ve been asleep. Many kudos to Kate Bold on her totally fantastic book, can’t wait to read others like this Sandra Singer

Cactuschic

Fair. Somewhat slow and stale. Lots of unanswered issues. Character development left something to be desired.

Idk😑🫤

Great read. Great book nice plot twist had me on my toes a lot

River Quest

Not Me. This story takes you to a different sort of world most of us know little, if anything, about. It obviously guides one to another story which may explain more about Agent Grace’s history and what comes next. The negatives are lack of editing. There are many misspelled words and missing words which should have been caught.

Fotogirl2

Not Me. You never know what to expect in a murder mystery, and this one is certainly case in point! Page turner!

Wantittoworkright

Would give it a 5 had editors and proof readers done their jobs. The story line and characters were well developed with interesting twists and turns. It’s well worth the read if you don’t mind an inordinate number of typos/misspells/grammatical errors. I found 10 in less than 20 pages. The editor and proof readers should return any compensation cause they really failed at their jobs.

Eli from Ely

Not me!. A pretty good read, suspense, vodoo, hints of black magic.

Jdt_s

Multiple murders on NOLA. This was set in NOLA, one of my favorite cities. I don’t like aggregates of people, traffic, bright lights, violence, but I do love music, great food, elegant spaces, languid voices, and southern soul. All this can be found in NOLA with Cafe au latte, and Beignets in the Old quarter watching residents and visitors shopping and checking out the offerings in the French Market after. The setting and characters are the best thing about this offering. Otherwise a standard Police Procedural.

Pennenn

Sooo many typos. The story is quite good, but it took great effort to get through all the typos, missing words, misspellings. Just needs a bit of editing

Northporchgal

Not Me. An easy read, likeable detective Camilla and Detective Peterson are in New Orleans. Hints of a voodoo killer or black magic maybe involved in the abduction and killing of 4-5 women. Good paced and likeable characters.

Brookbry

Great read. Despite the grammatical errors.

Princesst-tm

Addictive read. This book is a page turner. An awesome read.

Noofer

Great story, poor editing.. Interesting twists and turns, an enjoyable read. Annoying constant typos.

Izzzzzzzzzz.

Very good book. The best book ever I couldn’t put it down although it does need a lot more editing on grammar and punctuation this book is about voodoo/dark magic and serial killers

Sarahwantsg

Interesting Read. I didn’t love it, but strongly liked it…the characters were relatable..the story line had holes in it and didn’t grab me..interested in reading the next book…

Kadbad888

Why why. Why can’t I find a decent crime story???? Why does everyone have to have a dark past? Also sorry but your characters are copied from actual tv shows, I get a sense of Bones coming thru

Rocky19088

Not me. Really enjoyed this book. So realistic and with a normal person as the main character with her flaws and personality defined.

Carliecarlieb

Couldn’t put it down. Excellent story with well researched details x. Really good read for a holiday!

L122e

A good read. I enjoyed this book. No real twists and turns but Kate really nailed the emotions for the characters

**kS@2

Good book spoiled by typo’s. Really good read with obvious grammatical errors and extra words all the way through that should have been picked up if proof read. Hoping the other books are just as good and without the mistakes.

Dara1009

Wow!. What a riveting read. Voodoo, black magic and serial killers. What more could you ask for? Oh that’s right an FBI agent with a murky past and a heck of a tale . Fabulous! Loved it.
