The Bone Ripper!. In the second installment of the Valerie Law series, Valerie and her partners FBI agent Charlie Cooper and psychologist Dr. Will Cooper, hunt down a killer who longs for fame. He kills his victims in increasingly brutal and shocking fashion and sends letters to a newspaper a la the Zodiac Killer. It takes some time to make the connection, but these three make an effective team. The only thing that seemed out of place to me was the amount of people smoking in public buildings, otherwise another great read.

No Pity. Good plot and character interaction. It bothers me that the lead agent is in great need of therapy and is struggling as a top FBI agent. She should have more self-awareness and get help - she’s really a danger to her partners. Hope this isn’t typical for profilers in real life…
No Pity. Totally into this series. I love Valerie Law.
No Pity. She has a unique gift, but at what cost. Another gripping plot, as she goes deeper to try and catch the killer. Good plot and like her team and how they work together. Given arc for my voluntary review.
The story does get better!!. Ok this was way better than the first book. Maybe it’s because we got a lot of backstory/ground work with the first book. Things do get more interesting and the story becomes more of a thrill ride like we all expect and crave from Blake Pierce
