Second chance love story. What an intense emotional beginning of the Bad Boy Bakers series! Kait Nolan knows how to draw you into the story that is suspenseful, intense and entertaining. After 10 years Mia and Braxton are surprised to find each other on the same building project. Braxton thinks he is divorced and she knows she is still married to him. There are secrets she never told him and Braxton thinks she just walked away from him. This story is well written with interesting characters who you will truly love and will have a difficult time putting the book down. Love this book!!!. Absolutely LOVE the first book in the new series by Kait Nolan. A spin-off series from her Misfit Inn (with some characters making appearances) this one starts with Brax and Mia, two broken kids when they met, this picks up with a surprise meeting and a love story that I never wanted to end. As always, this book is well written the way that only Nolan can write. Well worth the 5 stars (I only wish I could give more). I can't wait for the rest of the series!!!!

Reunited for a Second Chance. 4 I recently found this author and I’m so glad I did! Mia and Brax have a complicated history and feelings they can’t escape no matter how much they think they want to. I loved the roller coaster of emotions they brought out in me while finding their way through the mud of feelings and the past. I encourage everyone to try out this book! Baking can be fun 🤩. This storyline cooked up some intriguing times and romance too! I Love the characters and the easy way the author tells her stories. It’s a Fun read exciting without being tense. Looking forward to reading the series of books by this Skilled writer !

Great Suspenseful Romance - Couldn’t Put It Down. This was a challenging review for me to write. It seems I’ve too often begun reviews of Kait Nolan books with “WOW!!”. Yet, again, WOW!! (It’s hard to be creative when your mind’s blown.) I wasn’t prepared for Mixed Up With A Marine to be even more intense that its prequel, Rescued By A Bad Boy — but WOW!! This story is ingeniously woven with Mia and Brax’s back-back stories fully explored (what happened before their Foster Care system experience,) what’s happened since they were separated at the end of the prequel, and the insane situational events of their lives reconnected. As soon as I finished it, i just sat back, thinking of the whirlwind and heart tugging emotions that this book evoked. Brax and Mia were dynamic, full of angst and pain and hope and love, and if you read the prequel to this story (which you 100% should!), then you know they’ve already faced so many trials, and this book just brings more. You find out that Mia is such a little warrior. She’s faced things that no one should ever have to. She’s carried the weight of regrets and bad choices that have lost her everything. And she can’t let her guard down for anyone, including her husband. Or so she thinks. Brax is not the boy she married so long ago. He’s faced just as many terrors during his time as a Marine, but his love for Mia still shines strong, even under the hate. Their connection, even after ten years, is still so strong and pure and gosh, you really can’t help but cheer for their happily ever after. Y’all, this book has it all - there’s a second chance at love, there’s danger, there’s possible mob connections, there’s a love triangle, there’s passion… I didn’t want to put this book down and I am so excited for the next book in the series!

Mixed Up with a Marine. This is a page turning story with so much in depth of true dealings with life even as life goes on and friends are there for you and cheering you on while dealing with serious happenings.

Mixed Up With A Marine. You fully developed the characters and efficiently wove the story to a HEA conclusion. I really enjoyed your book.

Loved it. I have been provided with a review copy of Mixed Up with a Marine from the author for an impartial review. This is the first book in the Bad Boy Bakers series and takes place about ten years after the prequel in this series Rescued by a Bad Boy. Oh my gosh I just loved getting to see the continuation of Brax and Mia’s story. I was just drawn into their lives and I felt so much for these characters. This story was just extremely easy to lose yourself in and I was just so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Loved it!. The prequel laid out the foundation for this story. Not gonna lie, you’ll want to read that first to understand the emotional depths of this book. Complex, with indulgences to both the sexy/romantic byplay as well as the intrigue that seems to stop without really having it conclude. But it does have a feel of real life - sometimes we don’t get answers. Still loved it so much I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last page!. Kait Nolan consistently delivers the goods!. Kait is a very talented writer, and she excels at crafting complex, realistic characters. This is another enjoyable romance set in a small town, with a suspense element in the mix.

THE BOOK DIDN’T DOWNLOAD PROPERLY. I have read this book before on another application. In that application, I was able to download the full book & read without issues. But, this time something went wrong & I couldn’t finish chapter five. The pages following in the middle of the chapter five were blank. If you are able to download the book, you will like the book. I had enjoyed it when I read the book on another application.

Hot Bakers…. Brax and Mia’s story is well written and has quite a few twists and turns I honestly didn’t expect. Yes, you know they have a happy ending, but getting there is not as clear cut as you might think… which makes this a wonderful story to read that you won’t want to put down! There’s quite the subplot going on throughout that really beefs up the story, but I’m not going to say anymore… just read the book, it’s worth your time and money! Second chance romances make my heart sing!. Second chance romances make my heart sing! Having read the prequel, Rescued By a Bad Boy, I was in desperate need of seeing Brax and Mia get another shot to make a go of it. There’s a lot going on in their story and most of it was nothing like I was expecting. This pair and all their self-recriminations ripped my heart into little bitty pieces. But watching them peel back the layers and get vulnerable, plus their commitment to one another, patched all those broken pieces back together. There’re a couple threads that aren’t completely tied off about Mia’s past and the dangers she’s faced, so I’m guessing these might play further into future books of the series. The ending is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever read and I can’t wait to read more about these newest members of the Eden’s Ridge community. Besides, I love any chance I get to check back in on my favorite Misfit Inn families. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
