Shattered by James Patterson & James O. Born
Shattered by James Patterson & James O. Born Book Summary
Nothing could tear Detective Michael Bennett away from his new bride—except the murder of his partner and best friend—in this suspenseful thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling series.
NYPD master homicide investigator Michael Bennett and top FBI abduction specialist Emily Parker have a history.
Working case after case, each can predict the other’s next move. So when she fails to show at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, Bennett risks venturing far outside his jurisdiction. The investigation he undertakes is the most brilliant detective work of his career…and the most intensely personal.
A portrait begins to emerge of a woman as adept at keeping secrets as forging powerful connections. A woman whose enemies had both the means and the motives to silence the real Emily Parker—and her protectors.

It was ok. Predictable. Too much. Nana mama
“Shattered” is so much welcomed. After the last book about Michael Bennett, I felt so happy how it ended. Content of the story of a fantastic and a real human character. This one game me few more tears, happiness for him and his family. Well done James! Cannot wait for your next one in the series 🤞🏼
Just Like Old Faithful. 5 Stars. Bennett and Cross have become equals to me. Both series are just that good. This one was as good or better than them all. I figured the mystery of this one at the perfect time. You know? Not too early and not right at the end? Have to feel like you were paying attention. This was just rock solid Patterson. His books are the ones I read to relax and know it will be worth my time. Almost always they’re fun and quick and that’s what I need sometime. On to the next!
Keep ‘‘em coming!. I generally can’t wait for his, with helper, next book.
Didn’t see it. I really enjoy James Patterson and his co-author. While I wasn’t a fan of the Michael Bennet series, this novel and the previous one changed my mind. I did not expect the outcome. One last twist, and I’m thinking, “of course!” … but not until the last chapter or two. Keep going, Patterson!
Good book. Patterson has found a great writer
Shattered. Best Michael Bennett so far.
Amateur Hour. I quit reading a third of the way through. Felt like it was written by a h.igh-schooler. I want my money back.
Shattered. Formulaic, like his others, but fun to read
Not my favorite, but worth a read. This one didn’t gel for me, but it’s always fun to catch up with the Bennetts.
Forgettable. Another forgettable James Patterson book. Entertaining beach reading.
Shattered. For a supposed tough guy detective, Bennett acts like a lovesick kid. Terrible
Gr8 again. I’m speechless
