Boring and predictable. I believe I have read every one of the books by this author. This being the worst. Need some new ideas for this main character other than banging rich and beautiful women/widows. Same plot and same outcome.
Stone Barington Books. Can’t read them fast enough! Have loved every one!

Black Dog. Mediocre at best. Less than 300 pages means book is only a short story.
Black Dog. This was a very disappointing addition to the Stone Barrington series. Stewart Woods must have had a ghost write it I have read every book in the series. This book does not compare to the usual quality. I guess they all can't be winners.

Not my favorite. One of the things I like about these stories is that they take me everywhere! Plus I love that Stone is facing interesting characters. I found Jr. to be rather insipid and was glad when the story was done. 🙂they can’t all be home runs! Looking forward to the next.
RIP Mr. Woods. Poor Mr. Woods just passed RIP Stone, Dino, and others. Long overdue to set this style of writing out to pasture. Thanks for the many years of good that surpass the well……as I said RIP sir!

Stuart Woods (born Stuart Chevalier Lee; January 9, 1938 – July 22, 2022) was an American novelist, known best for his first novel Chiefs and his series of novels featuring the Stone Barrington character. Early life Stuart Woods was born in Manchester, Georgia, and graduated in 1959 from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. After graduation, he enrolled in the Air National Guard, spending two months in basic training before moving to New York City, where he began a career in the advertising industry. Towards the end of the 1960s, Woods emigrated to England and lived in Knightsbridge, London while continuing to work in advertising. After three years in London, Woods decided to write a novel, based on an old family story that had been told to him when he was a child, and moved to Ireland.
