Season opener. Kate Rudolph comes back to Earth to give us the most original take on werewolves I’ve ever read. Plus, it’s a beautiful love story with a hero who has his emotional act together, and a heroine who’s smart, skilled, and seemingly shockproof. Add to that a smidge of action and a dollop of mystery and it’s a sure fire super paranormal romance. And this is a totally voluntary ARC review.

An unexpected love. This is a great story that is well written and full of action. Owen has been hired as a bodyguard for Stasia and it seems that his wolf recognizes her as its mate. A victim of a recent kidnapping attempt, Stasia agrees to the bodyguard and is thrown for how quickly she is drawn to Owen. When a medical emergency arises, Stasia saves Bryan life but is injured in the process. I enjoyed the story as it is action packed and there is never a dull moment. The H/h in this story are very strong characters who have formed a forever relationship. This is definitely a story worth reading. Hunting season. Terrible-terrible!! Story was dull. Author never explained who was trying to kidnap her or who was involved in the cult.

Hunting Season. This is a Guarded by the Shifter love story for Stasia and Owen. Well that is one way to meet your mate. I did not whether to laugh at these two or cry for them as they each try to stop their attraction and then give into the attraction and everything just goes from hot and steamy to mixed up and dangerous in the blink of a phone call. Hunting Season. I’ve read a lot of paranormal books and this one wasn’t too bad. Characters are well defined and believable. Only problem I saw was not enough back history on the characters. Other than that it was a good read.

Finding His Mate…. Stasia is the daughter of a very wealthy man, and his enemies don’t play nice sometimes. But she is not a delicate flower. She is a confident woman who can handle her own problems. When a kidnap attempt is made on her, her father and brother hire a bodyguard, which she is not happy about. Owen, her new protector, is a recently turned werewolf, as well as an experienced soldier. He had no idea being Stasia’s bodyguard would be so difficult, nor that the woman would be so stubborn about following orders for her protection. As the two of them are around each other, she seems to be pulling out the Alpha in him. He’s still learning about being a wolf, so she is not making things easy on him. But they are inexorably drawn to each other. Is Stasia ready to commit to a life with her mate? How will she accept the news about what he is?

Hunting Season. Owen is part of a bodyguard company made up of ex-military turned werewolves. The how and why of them becoming werewolves is a mystery to them. He is sent to protect Stasia after an attempted kidnapping. Her father is extremely rich and she has been targeted before - and Owen’s wolf immediately recognizes her as his mate. The book implies Stasia’s father is somehow involved in the people being turned into werewolves and leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Fantastic. Loved the story. Very well written.

Hunting Season!. This is a good read that is entertaining and fun. It is a bodyguard romance about Stasia and Owen. Her family is wealthy and she has become a target. He is hired to protect her. The attraction and chemistry between them is off the charts. The story is fast paced with some danger, suspense, action, intriguing and good twists.

New Series Starter. This is the start of a new series. There appears to be a continuing story line but this book ends with an HEA for the couple involved. Stasia is a non-typical rich girl who’s in danger, Owen is her bodyguard with a secret. She’s serious and uptight, he’s laid back and optimistic. The story is simple on the surface but there are underlying threats, mysteries and nuances that I hope to see more about in the next books. I liked both characters but didn’t see them together in the beginning. As we get to know them, they are more suited and their chemistry is undeniable. Supporting characters leave us with additional questions but Stasia and Owen’s story is complete. Enjoyable read but at this point I’m more interested what wasn’t in the story and can’t wait for the next books.

Good Beginning to A New Series Need Some Fixes. I liked Stasia and Owen. While Owen was a werewolf he wasn’t your typical grunting alpha. He had an easy go flow that made me smile. Stasia while coming from money didn’t act like a spoiled drama queen. This is the first in the series so establishing is needed and I give a lot of leeway for that. There are many things within the plot itself that don’t make sense if you take a minute and really ponder, namely Stasia’s family and how they may be tangled up with what happened to Owen while he was in the military, plus let’s not forget her family drama. There are also some fuzzy issues within the werewolf family that Owen is a part of. Some points were brought that were left hanging. Both Stasia and her sister’s really easy acceptance of werewolves and just going about their lives like nothing life altering has happened did seem a bit of a stretch. Despite these weakish points, I did enjoy the story and want to learn more. I’m hoping that the plot holes are filled and we get more substance in the next books in the series. Wild Start to Series!. Before the Detyens and the Zulir, Kate Rudolph wrote PNR. As a return to the shifter world, this story was exciting all on its own, but the fast-paced, action-packed tale had my heart pounding. Stasia and Owen, the doctor and the ex-army bit-of-a-good, are a sweet match (once she gets over him being her bodyguard). Max Pinketts brings his A-game to the narration, resulting in an immersive audio experience. The ending leaves unresolved questions - not a cliff hanger - just enough to leave you yearning for more. What an exciting start to a series!

A nice, easy read. A nice spin on werewolf shifting fantasy world. A nice read, not too in-depth but enough to make you want to read more and see how the characters’ lives turn out, although it is a complete story with a happily-ever-after ending.

A different kind of werewolf story. Fantastic start to a new series. It’s a bit of a different spin on the typical werewolf/mate type stories. This doesn’t start with werewolves being an actual society. It has them as something new and somewhat accidental. It makes for a much more unique and interesting storyline. Hunting season. A quick werewolf story, with a different feel. In this one our characters don’t know what’s in stall for them, everything about being a werewolf is new. The hero is a sweet happy go lucky male and our heroine, whilst abrasive on the outside, turns out to be pretty amazing.

A fab read. This is a werewolf romance with lots of action, steamy scenes, fated mates and a happily ever after ending. Stasia is a dr, also daughter to New York’s 3rd richest man, so when people attempt to kidnap her in broad daylight she’s not too shocked. When her brother calls in a favour from a friend, Owen is given the assignment to guard her. Except when he turns up not only does she tell him to go away, she’s also his mate. Stasia is adamant she can protect herself but reluctantly agrees to him being there for a week. Things turn steamy when they kids which turns into a night to remember. When Owens packmate is shot and it doesn’t heal, Owen is asked to take Stasia to a safe house she agrees but gets more than a shock when the man she’s treating turns into a wolf and bites her. Now it’s possible she may turn into a wolf. Unfortunately they have to round up her attackers before they can do anything.
