Enjoyable. Held my attention throughout the whole book. It was very entertaining and the fact that she read diaries was unusual and a very interesting plot twist.

Nice romance story. It was super cute. It had two strong independent characters who complemented each other very well. Their relationship was realistic and not forced. The twist in the book was surprising and unexpected which was cool. Once you figure it out you’re like “Oh wow!” Overall I loved the book and would recommend it if you like romance novels.

Just okay. I don’t like writing bad reviews. A book is a creation of someone’s imagination after all. But that doesn’t mean one ought to publish it. Could it have been better? Maybe... If you’re in your early twenties or late teens and new to romance, this might be fun to read. But unfortunately this story was beyond vanilla. Very predictable. I finished reading it for two reasons: 1- I actually paid $ for it 2- I was being polite I gave two stars because unlike most ebooks, this one was edited well for grammar and spelling!

Great read. This book has sat in my library for months. I read the first few chapters and lost interest but I picked it back up yesterday and ended up reading the whole thing because I couldn’t put it down. Even though it was a little slow to start, it ended up being a great read. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Good but…... I read Egomaniac right before this. The story line is very similar. Kind of disappointed to see the major plot points again. Egomaniac is more steamy, if you’re deciding between the two. This story is sweet and I liked Stella a lot.

MY FAVORITE BOOK SO FAR FROM VI. I have read about 5 of her books,bossman,the naked truth,a beautiful mistake, beat and the baller BUT this one by far is my favorite. I just loved how she kept us hooked from the first chapter and there was so many twist and how you had to put together the pieces to the puzzle. I had a few tears at the end Hudson definitely went through a lot and I love the choices he made once he found out the truth

A lot of love. This one is by far my favorite book by Vi Keeland. Loved the characters even with their faults and broken past. Again, a sad part but a good daddy prevails that makes you fall for him even more.

Great story. This was a great story. The drama was quite heavy at the end but this is what made it great. An epilogue or a sequel bring it to full circle would have been even better. The readers notes had me confused because it mentioned two characters not in the book. Otherwise very sweet, loving, warming to the heart.

Hudson & Stella. I enjoyed the story of Hudson and Stella and how, no matter what happened - the good, the bad and the ugly, the universe kept bringing them together. There was A LOT of build up to Hudson and Stella actually getting together, but it was lovely to see them trust one another after having both been hurt in the past. I have to give huge props to Vi Keeland on her ability to spin a story - the woman knows how to throw intense curve balls! Note: compared to her other books, I would say that this one is much tamer as far as intimacy goes between Hudson and Stella.

Umm.. thanks for the sleepless night!. This book was so good, my night of a read-until-I-fall-asleep was utterly disturbed. It was engaging, literally laugh out loud funny but also really heartwarming. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book of this kind that seems believable, even though you know it’s totally not. The story is really captivating and I love Stella’s character. I haven’t read anything from the author before but I am now probably one of the biggest fans. Well worth the purchase. Thanks for a brilliant read x

Absolutely sensational! Top read for 2021!. An absolutely sensational read, every feeling, every moment was just wonderful. I was riveted to the story and didn’t put it down till I had finished. I had a permanent smile on my face as I read and genuinely loved the characters, especially Stella and Fisher, they were a hoot together. Needless to say when Stella meets Hudson, at his sisters wedding she crashed, the adventure we are sent on is not without drama and some rather unique surprises. This was a story that blew my mind and the coincidences and the way the storyline went, had my attention from the very beginning. It is one of my top reads for 2021. The author has exceeded her talent for writing a captivating story. These characters will forever hold a special place in my heart. Well done!

The Invitation. Unfortunately it was slow, I found myself skipping pages well pass the half way mark. The idea of this book was good the delivery wasn’t great.

Outstanding. I was hooked on the story that Vi Keeland wove from the first to the last word. The Invitation was an entertaining, well written story that was a pleasure to read. From the first moment that Hudson Rothschild and Stella Bardot meet at a wedding, sparks fly and I just knew that this was going to be one heck of a story. However, not all is as it seems, since one of them is there under false pretenses. Despite knowing that it can go nowhere, Stella is attracted to Hudson. Like Cinderella, Stella flees from the wedding but in her haste to escape, she leaves her phone behind and guess who finds it?. The chemistry between them is off the charts and their story was so much fun, with plenty of steam and witty banter that I spent a great deal of the time laughing out loud or swooning. It was wonderful to watch their relationship develop and I found myself smiling like a fool. This was a book that I was sad to see end; in truth I could have kept reading about these characters, they were just so easy to relate too.

Should be 10 stars. I really anticipate reading this authors work when it hits my reader and this did not disappoint. It had it all and I loved it.❤️❤️❤️

A real page turner. I know I shouldn’t read these…they are bad for my relationship, as my grandmother always warned me, but I just can’t help it. These characters just suck you in. I have lost a couple of nights of sleep devouring this and another title…love them

Wow !!!. You know a book is very special when it stays with you long after the final words have been read and The Invitation is really a very special read. It has characters you will fall hard and fast for, it has all the feels you would expect in a great read and a story that will captivate you from the first page to the last line and as I said I’m sure you will be thinking about Hudson and Stella long after you have finished this wonderful story. I’m not going to write a review that full of spoilers because I believe this romance needs to be read with no preconceived ideas you need to pick this book up like me and reads it first hand with your own eyes. What I will say is this couple intrigued me and as I read each page I knew I couldn’t put this book down and that’s how come I was still up at 3am so be warned make sure you have time to finish what you start because believe me once you meet Hudson and Stella all else goes out the window. This book touched me on so many levels, the chemistry is intense, the passion is steamy and the banter is witty. Another sure sign of a special read is when you can’t stop reading but you don’t want the book to end and that’s how I felt about The Invitation and I guess I do need to mention the most epic epilogue I have ever read....... it may only be the middle of January but The Invitation will be on my top reads of 2021 so I urge you all to one click this gem. Vi Keeland once again gives us a wonderful start to the year with this epic read.

Amaazzzinngg!!. Wow, what a book! Not only was the storyline beyond what I could ever have expected, but the attention to the detail and adorable inside jokes throughout the story, was phenomenal! I fully intend to start writing my own messages on some fruit. Overall the story was very touching. I laughed, I cried, and most importantly I smiled. I simply couldn’t put it down. Loved Every Pag! Such an original storyline with all the feels!. The New Year is off to a fabulous start because I loved every single word of the Invitation by Vi Keeland as well as the super sexy cover! I have read every one of this talented author’s fabulous books and The Invitation is now my forever favorite. Hudson Rothschild and Stella Bardot were the perfect pairing and both so deserving of love and happiness. Their meet cute is epic and I LOVED that they met by chance. She’s not the nanny or his sister’s friend, and they don’t have to pretend. Their first meeting was epic! It made me laugh while giving me chills because I just knew that I was in for a wonderful ride with the pages to follow. Hudson is a single dad to a sweet, lovable little six-year old daughter, Charlie. He’s also a smart, successful venture capitalist and close to his sister, Olivia, who also works with him as VP of marketing in their family business. I loved learning about their business and also his interactions with his staff and family as it showed over and over again that he was a man of character. In addition to his business skills, Hudson also possessed a devilish smirk, quick wit, and was a living, breathing, sexy, charming, dream come true. He was dubbed “Prince Charming” by our heroine, Stella, the moment she and her best friend and neighbor, Fisher, laid eyes on him at his sister’s up-scale NY wedding that they crashed, and I couldn’t read fast enough to see what happened next. I couldn’t love Stella anymore if I tried. She was so sincere, hardworking, funny without even trying, beautiful and humble, and was just filled with so much goodness. She’d randomly give people a chocolate bar to make their day, and lived with a motto to bring joy into other people’s lives just because she could. When they meet again for the second time, I just loved her honesty and vulnerability and how much her presence and words affected Hudson. She was so unexpected, and little by little, he let down his guard and wasn’t quite sure how to process what he was feeling. I loved that Stella was super smart and a fragrance chemist, how business savvy she was, and how she fought for what she wanted and didn’t back down. She just didn’t sign contracts on a whim, she actually read them and gave a lot of thought into her future and made her dream happen along with the help of Rothschild Investments as a business partner for “Signature Scents.” They had some misunderstandings, but I loved how they handled it, how they could apologize, and got to know one another over time. I love Stella’s love of reading old diaries and how one of them affected them so deeply. Tears I tell you. Tears!! I loved the slow burn and how she was cautious to begin a romantic relationship as they worked together and she didn’t want to risk her heart being broken again. But when they finally did give in, WOWZA! There was plenty of steam with no turning back! Because they had such an emotional and deep connection, their intimate times were really magical as well as super sexy. I read four books a week and it was so refreshing to read such an original storyline with a swoony hero and quirky, sweet heroine, as well as all of the supporting characters whom I adored. The Invitation made me laugh out loud as well as cry, and is a book I will be reading again and again.

Hard to Put Down. A famous library, several weddings held there, a diary that tells of lovers who surreptitiously meet on its steps, a lovely woman with an excellent sense of smell who crashes a wedding, and a broody single dad who is fascinated with this woman—these are some of the elements that create the wonder that is The Invitation. I loved this sooooo much! Stella and Hudson are wonderful characters, and their romance amazing!
