Modern day prophet. God is good. People like Tozier, Murray, Chambers, etc., seem to have what it takes to bring me back to a very sober understanding of how I’m supposed to be living for and loving God for who he is, and what he’s done - how he truly loves me/us.

Inspired. I found this to be a short and beautiful, very inteligent work. It is something that delights the soul and intrigues the mind. He solemnly decries that a true believer should be totally and completely devoted to Jesus Christ, and nothing else. Good stuff, really!

Power Bites. I love Tozer’s ability to pack powerful, thought provoking reflections in small doses to be savored and ingested.
A Letter of Truth. Truth is truly bitter especially to unwilling tongues. But if only a belly is willing to take it in, the end result would be both health and sweetness that only can be appreciated by those who are saved. This book is a letter of truth to me.

Aiden Wilson Tozer (April 21, 1897 – May 12, 1963) was an American Christian pastor, author, magazine editor, and spiritual mentor. For his accomplishments, he received honorary doctorates from Wheaton and Houghton colleges. Early life Tozer hailed from a tiny farming community in western La Jose, Pennsylvania. He was converted to Christianity as a teenager in Akron, Ohio: While on his way home from work at a tire company, he overheard a street preacher say, "If you don't know how to be saved ... just call on God, saying, 'Lord, be merciful to me a sinner.'"
