Good but short. I have read and enjoyed the whole series for the most part. This book was a good balance of the things that I feel make this series great. It just felt short.

I wasn’t disappointed.. I liked the involvement with the rats. Plus rats are cool.

The Rat King. I was a little iffy when I preordered this one because I just wasn’t honestly sure if I would enjoy an Anita book with the wererats at the front and center. I was so enthralled by this book from the first couple of chapters that I wasn’t able to put it down until I finished it. Glad to see that even though this was a book surrounding the wererats we still got to see a good bit of our other characters in this one. And some lovely scenes all around. Great read! I recommend the Anita Blake books to everyone I know who loves to read! Best collection yet. I can’t wait for more!

Fabulous read. As usual, Laurell K. Hamilton outdid herself. The story was fabulous; I can’t wait for the next book.

Rafael by Laurel K. Hamilton. Loved it, very entertaining.

Rafael. I love the way you brought Rafael and Anita together and made Rafael her rat to call. Then giving them a story about Rafael fighting to hold his position has king. But still giving Anita apart in the story without taking away from Rafael. Loved it.

Another riveting story in Anita’s life and those around ger. Loved the story as usual. I love seeing how everyone in Anitas life grows and progresses themselves. I lost one star in rating as I found the story to short. I’d have enjoyed a more in depth look in this new addition to her life snd family.

Better. After the last couple of books, I wasn’t even going to buy another. Glad I did. Short but way better than those prior two atrocities. Gives me hope for the future of Anita Blake.

So great. LKH is so gifted. Her imagination is incredible and her characters practically walk off the page. This is another great installment and a wonderful view into the world of the rats.

Too short. Maybe I’m spoiled, but I’ve really enjoyed the author’s longer stories. For the price paid it should have been full length, but it seemed half the size. The story also seemed to end abruptly, instead of having any epilogue. The story itself was good, but the author has done much better in the past. Read her book Obsidian Butterfly which she makes reference to in this one and you’ll really have a meaty and well written novel to read.

Loved this book. This was so much better then the last one. I like when there is a good mix of battle and sex.

Better and better. The Anita Blake series is by far one of the best and my favorite. This new is based on Rafael and the wererats it been a long time coming cause they were major in the series at first but died out and now back in a major. You will love it!!

A decent read. Having read EVERY book in this series, I wasn’t disappointed but it wasn’t the best chapter in Anita’s life. I won’t give any spoilers except to say Laurell has calmed the 20 page sex scenes down dramatically, thankfully. I hoped for a bit more action, as some of the earlier stories were full of it, but I finished it in 2 days so although the later chapters felt a lil rushed it is still a good read.

Loved it. I love the fact we get to know Rafael more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I do all the others. It would be so nice to have a book about Jean Claude’s life and one about Asher’s life too.

It was anticlimactic. The book seemed like it's followed the same outline as the last several books. There is too much polysplaning. Yes, the dynamics of Anita’s relationships are essential in real life, trying to make polyamory work. This is a book, though, and I want the same action the earlier books had. These are becoming too predictable. I want Anita and Jean Claude and fix or dirch Richard and solidify their power base.

I love falling into a this world. But where is the rest of the book there needs to be more must have more🙂

Anita at her best. Seriously, not sure why there would be any negative comments. I like the investigation books but for me, nothing is better than those power burst stories. This is Anita at her best. Keep them coming please! :)

Sorry to say but. Boring...what happened? It may be time to end the series

Can’t wait for more. I love it but wish it were longer there was so much extra in the beginning but I’m sure there are more books to come.
