INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR

“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” —Chris Pratt, star of the #1 Amazon Prime series The Terminal List

This fourth thriller in the Terminal List series “should go down as one of the best books in the genre, period” (The Real Book Spy) as it follows former Navy SEAL James Reece embarking on a top-secret CIA mission of retribution twenty years.

It’s been twenty years since September 11. Two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and embarked on twenty years of war. The enemy has been patient, learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again.

A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.

Halfway across the globe a regional superpower struggles with sanctions imposed by the United States and her European allies, a country whose ancient religion spawned a group of ruthless assassins. Faced with internal dissent and extrajudicial targeted killings by the United States and Israel, the Supreme Leader puts a plan in motion to defeat the most powerful nation on earth.

Meanwhile, a young PhD student has gained access to a bioweapon thought to be confined to a classified military laboratory known only to a select number of officials. A second-generation agent, he has been assigned a mission that will bring his adopted homeland to its knees.

With Jack Carr’s “absolutely intense” (Chuck Norris) writing and “gripping authenticity” (The Real Book Spy), The Devil’s Hand is “another intense international thriller” (AARP The Magazine) that will leave you gasping for breath.

The Devil’s Hand. Exciting book to the end. Written by the mind of some one who “has been there” liked and had a chuckle with the Joe Rogan line and the other subtle interjections such as the Brad Thor book-paying tribute to others in your craft. Also so right on to the back drop of global infections and chaos. True “art imitates life” and vice versa. Though not a complaint and being a physician myself “did he have to ...?” Again great read.

Red!1

👍🏻. Worth ever penny

Pombomastic

Horrendous and full of ridiculous cliches. I loved the first 3 books of the series. This is just a pale copy of the kind of “action” books that filled the shelves after Sept 11. No nuance, zero reflection on the past 20 years. Disappointing from this author.

Ghostrover78

The Devil’s Hand. Chilling storyline weaving around the events leading up to 9/11 and the still unanswered questions of ‘how’ it happened, and ‘what’ role Iran played. Gripping from page one on! Jack Carr’s books are a must read.

Tristarburrito

Best of the series to date. Loved it!

Boring. Boring

Another hit. Jack Carr is truly one of the best new writers in the genre. He’s obviously knowledgeable both in serving in the armed services and being a continuous student. His characters are relatable and real. My only qualm with the book is the subject matter (a weaponized virus) was difficult to read in this time of a pandemic. I’m sure at any other time this would’ve been 5 stars.

Spy Life

The Best If it’s Genre. Jack Carr came out of no where. Kind of like his main character James Reece does when he’s on the hunt. Jack’s writings style and ability to draw out an ongoing story from book to book is the beat I’ve seen. This book does not disappoint and the close to home details of 9/11 bring up old emotions that we Americans have never healed from. I look forward to the next book and the Amazon series. Pumped!!!

Devil’s hand. Good book

The Devil’s Hand. Fantastic reading and story. The attention to detail with author’s first hand knowledge of subject and materials in my opinion has propelled Mr. Carr past the level Tom Clancy achieved with his books. You won’t regret it

Plano skywatcher

The Devil’s Hand. Well done; again! This author does his homework regarding politics and the military to keep you turning pages!

Nippleheadednumbskull

3 👍s up!. As with the previous books in the series, I planned on reading a couple chapters but ended up staying up all night and reading the entire book. My only complaint is that you can’t write a book a week!

Bencpody

Solid Continuation of Storyline. This book follows on the heels of my favorite Jack Carr book - Savage Son. This book is a solid read. The research Carr put into this book shows and shows well. Carr leaves a few great cliffhangers there for you to keep coming back for. Can’t wait to find out why the note from the Wagoneer kept JR in the game. Thank you Jack for the good read - even if it wasn’t Savage Son. But hey, what book is..?

Delivers, as always!. Only one issue - I read faster than Mr. Carr can write! Thank you!

ALT905

The devils hand. Great, great read. Another fantastic Reese story. Read it almost cover to cover in one setting.

Matt742

Another excellent and enjoyable read in the Terminal List series. I really enjoyed this latest offering by Carr! He’s able to expertly blend a fun, fast-paced thriller with contemporary insights. He may be out of government service but his research with people still close enough to the action is evident, adding credibility without needlessly dropping in terms or acronyms just because. The one criticism I have with this edition is that his infusion of personal politics into Reece’s character is so blatant as to become distracting.

Tweese16

Foul language. Great story. Too much foul language. A great story can be told without four language.

Dr_Ellis

Good plotting but …. Wish Carr would leave out the right wing politics.

SDCAL

Great book. Loved it - can’t wait for #5!!

GOLFER AL

Devils Hand. Fast paced thriller based on current events. James Reece is great

Jbgood86

Entirely too much detail. Although I enjoyed the first couple books this one has way to much “nonessential” info. Carr needlessly goes deep into the backstory of fiction characters that are minor to the story in order to fill out the book, along with a ton of politics. Although Im conservative and not opposed to the views like some reviews, If I wanted to read about politics I wouldn’t be reading a fictional book. So much of the book is filled with backstorys and politics that it barely touches on James Reece and the storyline we came here to read

Devil’s Hand. I just started reading Jack Carr a couple months before. I was mostly listening to audio books while walking. Took a chance on a new author and back to IPad reading. After finishing his first three books, I found I would have to wait for The Devil’s Hand to be published. Thankfully it was only a few weeks and I was able to get back involved in Reece and his complicated world. Jack Carr has learned from some of the best action/adventure authors and is quickly developing his own style that is interesting and entertaining. Like Clancy he does his research and includes information into his plot that creates realistic scenarios. Devil’s Hand is a great example. I look forward to his next book, although this wait will be longer than a couple weeks!

BadKarma79!

A convenient departure. I think this book misses the mark in the story of James Reece. The events of 2020 obviously influenced this book. It is a convenient departure from the story. I didn’t like it at all. The Terminal List, True Believer and Savage were fantastic! I was really looking forward to The Devil’s Hand and it was a let down. I am excited to see where the next book goes. I hope it redeems the storyline.

Levittonian

Ll review. The first two thirds of the book container too much political commentary. The ending was great.

Eye opening and Great as always!!. Outstanding!! Ready for the next installment in the series.!!
