10/10 RECOMMEND. Leah has always been one of my favorites for MTVs Teen Mom 2. So of course I had to read her book. I read it in 2 days it was so good. I truly feel like so many people can relate to her story and how childhood trauma can really mess up someone’s life.

Amazing. Love the show and Leah is one of my favorites . After reading this book and getting an insight into her life and struggles I have more respect for her and the de idioms she’s made. I read this book in one day while crying at parts and I’m so grateful she allowed us into her life through the book other than just the show.

Truly recommend it. You will just need to read it yourself and see for yourself.

Good read!. I finished this book in just a few hours. The beginning and middle were very detailed and well written. I did feel that the ending of her story seemed glossed over and ended abruptly. I hope the reason for that is there’s a second book coming!

Amazing Book. This book is so Amazing I had no idea Leah went through half those things. She is such a strong individual and I’m proud of the mother she is today.

Great read. What a heartbreaking story, which gives so much insight into the struggles Leah had growing up in a small town. Leah has been so open about her life and dealing with addiction, I can only hope that she will continue to share her life with another book that shows how far she has come.

Honest and Endearing. After watching Teen Mom 2 I was not going to read this book as I thought I knew what MTV driven story it would tell. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. Leah puts it out there with no concerns as to what anyone will think. More than anything this book shows she has matured and sets the story MTV wove straight. I respect her for putting her story out there without trying to place blame or cover her faults. She did not owe us this information but shared it anyway in a mature, well thought out memoir. This book is written in a true, millennial fashion. The wording can seem a bit Facebook-post but for the crowd watching Teen Mom 2 (me included) it hits home. Good read. I wish it was longer and look forward to the possibility of more books from Leah.

Story is good but poorly written. I appreciated her honesty and her journey has been monumental however it was poorly written and had grammatical errors.

Absolutely loved the book. I absolutely loved this book. The strength and courage it took to write this amazes me and is such a blessing to everyone reading it. My childhood was very similar to Leah’s and I actually found myself in tears a couple of times. I am so happy for Leah - never be afraid to speak your truth

Read in two days!. I enjoyed this book way more than I thought. I have recently finished the Jessica Simpson book entitled ‘Open Book’ and was totally bummed that she didn’t go into more detail. I wanted the juice and failed. Leah pleasantly surprised me with the juice and was so honest! I love it and was sad when it was over.

Great read!. So thankful Leah has shared so much of her life with us. This book dives deep into sociological cycles of childhood and family trauma. I am proud of Leah for doing all she can to recognize and break the cycle!

Don’t waste your time or the $9.99. I’m writing this review as a huge fan of the Teen Mom franchise, but was really disappointed. I wasn’t expecting sophisticated writing, but this book reads like a 7th grader wrote it-more accurately exactly how you would expect Leah Messer’s writing to be. The book is short and contains little to no additional information, with the exception of a brief description of her early home life and pre Teen Mom years. However, this information can be read in any reality TV article about Messer. The book is very heavy on blame and excuses for her poor life choices. Everything boils down to, it’s her mom’s fault she lied about her abortion, remained addicted to drugs, that she gets into physical fights, that she’s essentially cheated in every relationship, and is in general an unfit mother. It’s the doctors’ fault she became addicted to drugs and it’s Cory and Jeremy’s fault that people think she’s an unfit parent. Would not recommend, as the book basically regurgitates everything that’s already been on TV or the tabloids. Don’t waste your time or $9.99.

Loved!. Leah is an inspiration. I had no idea about all the struggles she had growing up. Looking at her now on the show I would have never assumed that she went through all of this. She’s a great mom to her girls and the girls are so well behaved and mannered. I can’t say enough good about the book and Leah!

Excellent. This book shows a women who was brought down, and built herself up from the ground. Learning life struggles, real life events, and how she overcame her struggles and her childhood. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the real Leah Messer.

Great Title!. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Leah touched base on so many things I never anticipated her mentioning. I was heartbroken to read about her childhood and how tough her life was. You wouldn’t know it by the show, or even looking at her. My only complaints are: I feel like the book was a little sporadic. She would start by mentioning (an example: her daughters birth) but then she would circle back around to her daughters conception, her pregnancy and delivery. I personally feel it would have been better to go in order. And I wish she went into depth about her later life and the show. It was so detailed about the early years of her life, but after her second divorce, it kind of speeds up and stops abruptly. But overall, I think she did a great job and I definitely see her in a whole new light. She is stronger than I originally thought. If Leah happens to read this, I hope you know your book was incredibly relatable, helpful to those in a similar situation and I pray you continue to place boundaries in your life. As I am trying to do the same in mine.

I absolutely love Leah!!. This book shows that no matter how much pain, heartbreak and stress comes your way you can overcome it and come out stronger then ever!!!

Such an inspiring story. I honestly did not expect to love this book as much as I did, but I just could not put it down. I read the whole thing within a few hours. It’s Amazing how much this woman has overcome. She truly glows in a new light on and off MTV. The only thing I have to say as an English major is that there are a few typos that the editor missed that need to be corrected and it bothered me so much, but don’t let that take away from the book! Leah is such an inspiration and I am so glad that she is finally at peace with herself.

So much more that needs to be told. I read the book I loved the book however I feel like it left us hanging like there is going to be a part 2 . It didn’t answer all my questions about her life. Most of us have followed her on MTV and that’s how I know there is so much more to her life that she didn’t touch in like what has been happening since she went to Arizona and not just that she bought a house and she is clean. Ugh

That she learning to love herself . She has a testimony that help a lot of people deal with the same thing should read this book .

MTV just shows the drama and the truth and by reading this book it breaks my heart what Leah had to go through to get to where she is today but it just shows up truly strong she is!

felt too rushed towards the end. was a good book to read just feel like the ending is really rushed. it’s not worth the money to buy when it’s only really a short read book with less than 200 pages.
