Wow!. All I can say is WOW! This book surprised me with how good it was. I'm not a huge fan of historical romances and have never read a pirate themed novel. But WOW. I literally could not put this down. It was such a unique storyline with so many twists and turns (I will not spoil anything here, but there is one particular twist that will leave you shocked). This book was dark and gritty, but still had a romantic and mystical backdrop on the sea. One of the best parts of this book is the setting. The author did really well with the historical aspects of the novel and brought a pirate-y feel without being cheesy or gimmicky. Her writing was so fluid and engaging it left me thinking about the novel long after I finished. A huge positive for this book was the three main characters. Specifically the heroine. Bennett was the perfect mix of strong and vulnerable, which made her so relatable. I usually have the perception of females in historical novels as weak and damsels in distress, but that was NOT the case here. Bennett was tough mentally and physically and a very feminist character. I also loved how different and unique both of the male heros were. Even though we did not get their POVs, I still felt a deep connection to them and their storylines. The sex scenes were a perfect mix of steamy, romantic, and a little violent. The only minor issue I had was that it's little bit long in parts, but that really did not bother me at all. This was a novel that was even better when reflected upon after I was finished. I highly recommend this book and author! Fingers crossed there are more books within this historical/pirate world.

Yeah, WOW sums it up very well!. I hadn’t ever heard of this author but this was a fantastical tale with a plot twist I never saw coming! NO SPOILER This was well written, edited and I couldn’t put it down. It’s been years since I read something that kept me this interested for so long. Yes, there is rape, abuse, torture, etc, etc. but in the context of the story it is not, in my opinion, so overwhelming that it will scar you for life. For some it may be too much though. An epically good erotic/adventure romance. I searched out and read a few other books by this author but I have to say that this is the best story of hers by far.

Perfection! Intense, deviant, sexy.. A magnificent portrayal of power, seduction and brutality. It’s pirates in the hands of this author so you should know you will get a story that will gut you with its intense and savagery. I’ve had a love affair with pirates from a young age and this story hits all the marks with the beautiful pirate queen Bennett and her lovers, the swaggering pirate feral Priest and the commanding British naval commodore Ashley. While the Royal Navy’s hunts the rebel queen of the sea, Bennett hunts for her father’s legacy and raids ships for their bounty and to free slaves. Both lead to some gut wrenching, cringe worthy encounters as danger finds Bennett and she fighting for her life. On the flip side is the panty wetting romance with her too sexy pirate mate and her stern commodore. Priest is a sex on legs, hot-blooded hunk while Ashley is a cold, dominant brute. Lucky girl! Priest is a dream hero as the feral beast but I’m team Ashley even with his bad behavior. There were just a few elements that didn’t ring true with me but for the most part this is what I expected from a hard hitting, sexy portrayal of the life of maundering savages at the height of the Caribbean pirates era. Some scenes reminded me of the spectacular TV series Black Sails, especially the connection between Priest and Ashley. Full of heart pounding danger, heart stopping brutality and heart melting romance. This is one to read for a realistic tale of pirates and Brits on the high seas. Absolutely terrific!

Loved it!. It definitely had parts that were difficult to read, but it’s such a great story. I truly enjoyed it!

WOW!. This is the first book I’ve reviewed and my first book by this author. I hear about this book from Mia Sheridans Facebook page and gave it a try. I can’t begin to explain all of the feelings it brought. Just when you think you know where it’s going it doesn’t. I was wholly satisfied when it was done but wish it would still go on. It was an emotional roller coaster but an astounding ride. This is a book for grownups. The sex was well done and the violence was graphic but fit the story. Give it a try and hang on.

Amazing. THIS BOOK IS SO GOOOD. Like I read it in two days and oh my gosh. It’s amazing, the writing is amazing, the characters is amazing… everything was amazing. You can feel the pain the characters went through in the book and you can feel the love between Ashley, Bennet and Priest. It honestly brought me to tears because this book was so good!!!

An unexpected, unorthodox love story. I’m not sure what I was expecting going into this book (although it did exceed many of my expectations), it was refreshingly different and SPICY! For me, spice level is quite high, be prepared for most of this book to be very spicy scenes… As other reviews state, there should be a trigger warning for S.A. and severe physical abuse. I really felt though as these inclusions in the book add so much grit and value to the story itself and the history behind a pirate era. They’re very important to the story and made me feel so deeply for the heroine of this wonderful sea adventure. A must read if you’re ready for a wild, sexy, and twisting ride.

Another 5 Star From Pam Godwin!. Pam Godwin has been one of my favorite authors for a while. I was hesitant to try Sea of Ruin simply because I’m not a huge fan of pirates- Pam has changed my mind. I love this book so much it immediately is in one of my top favorite books ever!

Pam is Amazing. I’m obsessed with all of Pam’s books. This one DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It’s well written, had me wrecked over and over again, and left me so satisfied with the ending. The relationships are so intense, and the outcome was unexpected. A beautiful story!

Good, but didn’t love the ending.. I enjoyed this book up until the ending. Lots of Trigger Warnings, check before reading.

Great story!. First, this is definitely HOT! Secondly, I loved the story so much. The character build, detailed personalities, word-painted images, I could even smell the smoke. Pam Godwin never fails. There is a scene that was very dark, so bad I thought the character would not get reprieve, and I didn’t think it was necessary to go so dark for so long-but still a great book. ♥️

Not for the Faint of Heart...In a Great Way.. I loved this book. The writing didn’t make me want to skip ahead, I was emotionally invested in Bennett’s story, and I drooled unapologetically at more than one male character. The only real negative was that I figured out a certain plot twist long before it was revealed. However, I was kinda proud of myself that I did. I highly recommend if you are looking for an incredibly erotic sea adventure...which I was.

You have got to read this. Well where do I start. Didn’t know if I was going to like this style of book set way back in time but oh my god this got good. I knew the author wouldn’t let me down and I love all her other book. This is full of action and adventure,it’s non-stop. Great beginning, middle and end. Pirate lady in love with 2 men.
