A #1 New York Times bestseller!

Sarah J. Maas's brand-new CRESCENT CITY series begins with House of Earth and Blood: the story of half-Fae and half-human Bryce Quinlan as she seeks revenge in a contemporary fantasy world of magic, danger, and searing romance.

Bryce Quinlan had the perfect life-working hard all day and partying all night-until a demon murdered her closest friends, leaving her bereft, wounded, and alone. When the accused is behind bars but the crimes start up again, Bryce finds herself at the heart of the investigation. She'll do whatever it takes to avenge their deaths.

Hunt Athalar is a notorious Fallen angel, now enslaved to the Archangels he once attempted to overthrow. His brutal skills and incredible strength have been set to one purpose-to assassinate his boss's enemies, no questions asked. But with a demon wreaking havoc in the city, he's offered an irresistible deal: help Bryce find the murderer, and his freedom will be within reach.

As Bryce and Hunt dig deep into Crescent City's underbelly, they discover a dark power that threatens everything and everyone they hold dear, and they find, in each other, a blazing passion-one that could set them both free, if they'd only let it.

With unforgettable characters, sizzling romance, and page-turning suspense, this richly inventive new fantasy series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas delves into the heartache of loss, the price of freedom-and the power of love.

Unreal. I have had this sample sitting in my Books app for like an entire year because I started reading, got distracted after the first couple pages, and then forgot all about it. Well I finally got around to reading it and good God. I cannot believe I have had this absolute MARVEL just sitting in my phone for so long and I never knew. This book is incredible. The characters are so intricate and complex. The stakes are high throughout and the plot is so intriguing and the TWISTS are absolute BOMBSHELLS. I could not put this down. The romance is a beautiful, sexy, slow burn, enemies to friends to lovers (my absolute favorite kind), and the action is positively kickass. I cried multiple times. I think my ONLY complaint was that literally everyone was super attractive. Like there weren’t any very interesting appearances described, everyone was just stupid pretty which is kind of boring. But again the people themselves beyond their looks drew me in with their stories and developments. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this. I will be buying this and the next book in physical copies.

Supcourtney

Don’t listen to the bad reviews. All the bad reviews are saying that the book is slow to start or boring. I do not share this opinion. Like any first book of a series, there is a lot of world building, character building, and amazing detail in the beginning of the book to set the story. This book, and the rest of the series, wouldn’t be as good without such detail. This book is AMAZING! If the bad reviews are swaying you, don’t listen to them!

MichaelTrivigno

Amazing start!. This is an incredible book. I love all these characters!

Trustmedanireads

I held on and glad I did. Reviews were right it was a slow burn world building that absolutely gut wrenched me into sobs by the end . Slapped kicked with pure emotions . Happy I preserved

Stormie-H

Loved it. Slow and confusing to start, but when you finally get the lay of the characters and world, man is this book good! Twists and turns, good love story.

Dayna Lynn

Slow to start but the OMG.. Just read it. It’s low flame though. Hopefully that will change in book 2.

Mamafox79

Loved it!. Fantastic! Kept me up way too late, way too many nights!

Libzweiss

Great story. I loved this book. At first I did not, there was so much information about worlds that was hard to understand at first & so many character introductions that it was hard to keep focus and get into the book. But after a few chapters the writer really drags you in! Such an interesting and exciting world she paints and I loved all the main characters. I wish there was a little more sex haha but overall great read

Bdubzofhifinest

BRAH!!!!!!. Simply amazing!!!!

Keelsieenicolee

Strong writing, Dark and heartbreaking.. It broke my heart over and over but I couldn’t stop reading. One of the best books I have ever read in my life.

Saxd40

So. Good.. It took me a few chapters to start to get the lay of the land and engaged in the story but once I was, I was obsessed. There is action, mystery, romance and the reader just gets drawn into the whole world the author has built. I am immediately moving to the second book.

T.xxo

Great. Amazing!!! SJM has done it again!

Bhouser34

Love SJM. Absolutely love this book!!

Bee012224

Struggled at the start but addicted by the end. Convoluted until 400-500 pages into. Then it fell into her normal writing style. Wouldn’t even call it world building just lots and lots of detail that muddled the first half of the book. Still absolutely hooked by the end as I feel with all Maas series

Badash248

Eh. I had such high hopes for this book because ACOTAR series was incredible. The first 80% of this book was great. The last 20% LOST me! It was so repetitive.

Andyrosso21

Amazing book, hard to put down.. Really enjoyed this book - started slow while it built plots and character but the book really had you trying to guess the next move and usually had me guessing wrong. So many twist and turns and by the end, impossible to put down.

OhsoTay

Not sure. I’ve read both ToG and ACOTAR series by SJM and this one just didn’t do much for me. The world was only so interesting and it took forever for the action of the plot to pick up. I wanted to like the characters but just didn’t feel that strong pull for either Bryce of Hunt. Not like the other series. The book was way too long for all the action to happen in the last 200 pages. I need to take a break before reading the 2nd book

Bd0ns

Slow start but keep reading. I absolutely loved this book, obsessed with it!!!! But I will say it took me a couple hundred pages to really get into it, and without a friends persistence about how good it was, I might’ve put it down. So good though, 12/10… so if anyone else is like me and ADD about story lines, just keep reading IT IS SO WORTH IT

Jessiepoopatzer

Awesomesauce. Riveting and action packed with twist I didn’t see coming! Loved it!

AP Juarez

Okay…. I wouldn’t read it again… it had potential, but it fell short and it was too long, the first half of the book was very tough to get through. I wouldn’t recommend this book but SJM’s other books aren’t bad.

Lizzzzie1556

It was ok. The beginning of the book took me two months to finish. Once I got past page 400ish the book went by pretty fast. In the last 200 pages I wanted to give up again because of how slow it got. The ending felt rushed and some of the reveals were really cheesy. All that being said I am curious to see what happens in the second book. I don’t think I would recommend this to anyone. So much of the book could have been left out and the plot would have been just as interesting.

Bbal danny

Hold on because the second half is where the magic is.. The first third of the book took me months to read. I was not very interested. Then suddenly, I found I could barely keep up with all of the action, character reveals, and drama. It is beautifully written with painstaking detail to a magical cruel world! That’s why I kept going. I am definitely glad I did.

Tayeday

i bought the second book before i even finished the first!. wowowowowowow the twists and turns! the teases! the taunts! 10/10 would read again. ms. Maas just doesn’t miss plot: 10/10 pace: 9.2/10 was super quick at the end but when **cah starts monologuing, i almost lost my mind writing: 10/10 i was enthralled the whole time.

BridgettlovesChad

This book. The end of this book… I don’t know how she writes so beautifully. It took a second for me to get into it, but once I did, I couldn’t stop turning the pages.

DesiNV

Her best yet. It is a mix of ACOTAR and TOG. Buy it now!!!

Aveeee7

AMAZING. I went through the ringer of emotions! 10/10 ❤️

Babykins529

Hang in there…. I had a hard time following this book at first; I had to go back and re-read the first couple chapters even. But as I adjusted to what I was reading, I became enthralled. This is an amazing book full of sass, action, adventure, fantasy and love! Can’t wait to start the next one.

KO_RSA

Wow.. This had me crying… smiling… racing through chapters. Loved every second.

Drew_ray

Wow!!!!😭😭😭. Okay this is book is amazing!!! I couldn’t stop reading it!

Momeador

Hands down 5 stars. I thought I was obsessed with ACOTAR…… Hello Crescent City!!!!! The way Sarah writes has a way of entrancing you into the story yourself! I can not wait to read the next book and those that follow!!!! You will not be disappointed in this read!

Loganessmoma

Amazing. I loved it. Could not put it down

Juuuuuuuu0604

What a ride. .. I never ever do book reviews. . However this series took me out and under. Devoured in less than a day I became so enthralled with Bryce’s story. Yes it had no spice however the plot really makes up for what’s its missing.

Jryder12

My new favorite SJM book. Quite possibly one of the best books I’ve ever read. The world-building is unmatched and the plot twist left me literally jaw-dropped. Love, murder, action, fantasy, friendship. A beautiful story. A book that made me FEEL. Iykyk

Mjcsjc

Highly recommend. I rarely write reviews, but I really want to write one for this book. I actually read it twice and enjoyed it possibly more the second time. There are so many reasons I like this book, too many to note. But to sum it, for me, it’s all about loyalty, friendship, and the truly extraordinary power of love., that transcends time and space.

Narwhal1900

amazing.. i sobbed and i have loved all of sarah j. maas’ stories! definitely worth the read.

Ray Ann PNW

INCREDIBLE BOOK. The story line, the backstabbing, the road to redemption, the love, the perseverance made for an excellently written book. SJM does not disappoint.

EmNPmom

Long but worth it. If someone doesn’t buy the rights to make this a movie they are crazy!

Miananana

AMAZING. SO GOOD. Lots of plot twists, and I love a fantasy, mystery, healing love story. Ends on a cliff hanger, can’t wait to read the next one!!!

Nriedie

Long road. I absolutely loved her other 2 series of books and read them quickly. They were my first fantasy books even and court of thorn & roses series hooked me immediately. Throne of Glass is a little slow at first, but an excellent series, too. This book ends very strong, but the entire first half was a chore to get through. It’s like someone else wrote the first 700 pages. Boring dialogue and shallow characters. I almost gave up completely, but I am glad I hung in there. Stopped and started many times. At about page 700 it got really good. I’m debating about reading the rest of the series. Hopefully the editors did a better job with the rest of the books.

ObamaEatsKids

SJM does it again with another page turner!. Great start to the series. Excited for the next book.

Sukiegc

Phenomenal Escape From Reality. Slow to start as scenes and characters are set, but impossible to put down as you will Bryce on.

Leialani_02

Crescent City. Sarah Maas got me again! Cried like a baby off and on in this story. So good!!!

D10011

Kinda wild. While there were definitely some parts of this book that had me happy and or crying, I’m not so sure this comes close to how good her other series are. I’m not sure how Bryce did not collapse from exhaustion a single time throughout the book because she took multiple emotional or physical hits each chapter. And unfortunately- bc I really do love SJM- the whole book came off as rather rushed and unrealistic in the number of miracles that happened throughout. That being said- I’m still going to read the second book lol 😂 .

Lillowr

Five stars. Absolutely amazing! Sucked me in from the very first page!

CrzyPugMom

A fun and fantastic adventure!!. This book is so well written. I was crying by the end. So many emotions and the action and intrigue. Fantastic. Impossible to put down. This is one of those books you stay up all night reading. 10/10!

Readme2x

AAAHHHHMAZING!. The book is fantastic, the finale is probably one of the greatest endings I’ve ever read! I was fist pumping at two in the morning!!! Couldn’t put it down.

Myriah M.

Twists and turns everywhere. Honestly this book was the definition of whiplash. The out of no where plots or revelations were so sudden and entertaining I finish this book in two days. I needed the answers. I’ve read all of Sarah J. Maas books and every book just get better and better. If you’re in to always been in your toes with questions then this book is perfect. The ending is perfect and I’m so excited to read the next book, I even preordered the new on expected to come out in January.

Sonday17

Crescent City by Sarah J Maas. Amazing. Mesmerizing.

Person I am

I tried. I really tried to read this but it was honestly irritating to get through. I didn't enjoy the language choices and it felt juvenile for an adult book. Couldn't make it through deep enough to see if there were other writing elements that would make it worth it (i.e. plot developments and what not)

Mestea28

Great read. It’s a tough start but it develops well and hooks the reader through the last pages and beyond.

Wow. Woah

Meagooooo

Good Gods. This book was nothing short of amazing. I honestly couldn’t put it down. I’ve never read any of her other books, but I’ll definitely have to now. The characters, plot twists & emotion were staggering & I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Windsay21d

Amazing!. Loved it!! Read the whole book in a couple days, just couldn’t put it down.

A-ivy

Long and boring. For those that love a ACOTAR, this is not for you. If you’re simply a fan of Sarah, then take a whirl. This book is long, slow, overly drawn out. People say “world building” but there not much/limited actual world/scenery descriptions. It’s just overly slow and drawn out plot points which is so slow it makes you debate DNF or grind through. It’s not mind blowing, it’s not captivating. It’s overly long for the sake of just being long. It took me 7 stop and starts to get through because it didn’t hold my attention.

Majh94

One of the best. One of the best books I have read in a long time. I couldn’t put it down, read the whole thing in less than three days

V£12

Truly engaging. Loved it , and am praying there story isn’t over!

LindaR1

Fantastic!. This book is so riveting. It takes a while to build the background and the characters but once the story starts to unfold, all you want to do is keep reading. I could not put this down except to sleep. Thank you Sarah for this wonderful book. Can’t wait for the next one.

Sarah Maas- all her books. I have watched every book Apple Book Store has featured and my mouth waters wanting so badly wanting to own her books. Apple your prices for this gifted author is outrageous considering it costs the author more to go to print than it does to offer readers on line access to purchasing a book that has paid for itself in print. The highest I will go to spending on any author from your store is $12.00, I have a library somewhere between 1200 books or more…. I lost count. Apple has made a fortune off my reading addiction. I have often thought of switching to Amazon simply cause their prices are more affordable and I can read for free with a membership. I have invested so much into Apple and almost have 500 books in my collection of “want to purchase”, carefully selected by my taste in books and that is what holds me back from switching accounts. Please start reviewing your prices in all your books with the economy getting tougher on the pocket book cause if prices keep increasing in Ca and the US in 2022, I might not have any choice but to find a cheaper vendor for my compulsive reading disorder, my most favourite thing to do and I would prefer to buy them from Apple than rent. Please advise with a comment. This is not reflective to this author as I used her as an example, I would love soooo much to be able to afford to purchase Sarah’s books but as a retired senior, I can not. Apple please advise if there is a possibility to get Sarah’s books at a more affordable rate?

Acw803

Mixed Feelings. This one really tugged at my heart strings. I was really heartbroken at the end. Not in an unsatisfying way though. The story takes a long time to really get going. There is a lot of setting up to do and laying the groundwork for the future twists and turns. I’m still processing how I feel about it. I’m glad I read it, but I’m not sure that I would ever reread it.

Chris G-L

Wow!. Very engaging read, kept me interested throughout. Detailed plot that obviously took major effort to craft into the thrilling end product.

Catsmewo

Worth a read.. I liked it but the romance seemed a bit forced.

StephR325

Amazing!. I can’t say I’m surprised that Sarah J Maas did it again. Like all her books the characters are incredibly thought out, you’ll never guess the plot twists or get enough banter! My favourite book so far! Can’t wait to see what happens next in February

Lunasalade

Excellent. Slow start but great 2 third of the book.

Captive Rose

Love It!. Get it! Read it! You will love it. I want the next one in the series out now! Love this author!

Gggjcjxhdsaqerygvbj

Amazing book!. I am currently crying right now, I’ve bawled my eyes out for the past hour over this book and I don’t regret reading it even though it BROKE me! SJM is an amazing author and this book just proves it. This is the kind of writing I aspire to create one day. Still wiping tears away though. This book is AMAZING!

BellaDucati

Oh so good. I want to read it again it was so good ! Can’t wait for the next one..

Crystala259

Not for me. I’m so sorry but for me it’s lacklustre at best. I have no clue why but this story held little appeal for me in terms of characters or storyline. To each their own, much respect to those with differing opinions and best to you all! Happy reading everyone.

Gigipel

Excellent!!. I loved it.

Sky Pallister

Hooked.. As always Sarah delivers... Love this book read it 2 days. Can’t get enough of the raw emotion.

Yolosrololololol

Crescent city book 1. Great book and plot line!

StephiSings

Enjoyable read!. It took a bit of time to be engrossed by this book. But once taken in by her world, I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed her modern “real world” & pop culture references interspersed with the fantasy world she created.

Sbhedjenfiakenfiwmfidne

READ THIS BOOK!. I highly recommend this novel. It kept me eagerly turning the pages trying to get more. I can’t wait to read the second book in this sequel.

Nicohea

Great book. Loved all of it , can’t wait for the 3rd one to come out

Crywolf_

Can’t wait to start the next one. I really enjoyed this book and the way you never really knew what was next. Only thing was I wished it was clearer when the storyline shifted to different characters perceptions/feelings. But overall recommend to anyone that likes a twisted action fantasy

Tuckb25

At First…But Then…!. It took me a couple tries to get past the first few chapters. I didn’t get what all the hype was about, It felt like a cable teen drama with sci fi characters at first. I felt like there were so many supporting characters, and details, and it was too much. Then things started to click together like a puzzle…and crescendo into a story that I could not put down. I mean up until 4:30am reading sessions!! Really amazing story!!

Lorzzzzz <3

wow. the writing is the best i’ve ever come across. def the longest book i’ve ever read and tbh i def think it could’ve been shortened very much but it was still so addictive and i’m so glad i read it

Kat_thegreatXXII

Love. Loved this story so much. Didn’t expect it to be so full of adventure and characters I’m rooting for. Solid love story too 🥰

DarlingNikki96

Fantastic. It was slow to start, but this book had me sobbing at the finish. That’s never happened. Such a wonderful story of love and friendship being the most powerful gift.

Person I am

I tried. I really tried to read this but it was honestly irritating to get through. I didn't enjoy the language choices and it felt juvenile for an adult book. Couldn't make it through deep enough to see if there were other writing elements that would make it worth it (i.e. plot developments and what not)

KatieBookedOut

One of the best!. This book is one of Maas’ best works. From the world building, to complex character arcs, and the constant theme of friendship and love distributed so eloquently — Miss Maas, has definitely built a world that is truly indescribable. The amount of love that Bryce has for her friends and family, and how her actions truly speak louder than her words are a complete understatement. I cannot wait to see what else Maas has in store for us in the next book series!

Leigh Woeller

Excellent characters, strong plot.. Loved this book. Heroine was a great character. Fabulous love story!

Bbal danny

Hold on because the second half is where the magic is.. The first third of the book took me months to read. I was not very interested. Amazing book, hard to put down.. Really enjoyed this book - started slow while it built plots and character but the book really had you trying to guess the next move and usually had me guessing wrong. So many twist and turns and by the end, impossible to put down.

Kellyj

Great read if you’re not a critic…. It was fantastic…. Ok.. There were some things that could probably have been better but this daggone book made me cry four times before it was all over and done with. And I would have given the book five stars of cheer perfection had the reveal not come in the form of a tire squealing hard left turn. I appreciate that she wanted to solve the “whodunnit” but I wasn’t fond of how she tied it all up. However once I shrugged my shoulders and got over it, the remainder of the book was PHENOMENAL. It pulled at all the heart strings, wraps up items that I had actually forgotten about after 600 pages and has a great lead into the next novel. I like the world building of the City and variety of characters! I CANNOT WAIT to read House of Sky and Breath!

Jessrenerrr

So good. Second half is the best!

Kenzie Ranae

Tears. Tears Everywhere.. This book obliterated me.

The all seeing<•>

Really good even for first time readers. This was my first time fully reading one of her books and I gotta say it was really good even without previous series knowledge and facts!!

Birdie❤️‍🔥

MUST READ. An absolute must read. The world building is immaculate. A new- fresh take on the paranormal. I felt like I could live in Crescent City. The characters aren’t perfect: they’re relatable, unique, well rounded and developed. I cried in this book, had to take a few cold showers from this book, and immediately reread the whole book after I gobbled it up. By far my favorite work from her, and I adored ACOTAR.

Bettytwoyou

Wonderful. Loved it!!!!

Melodicrunes

A fantastical murder mystery. I had no idea what to expect going into this from ACOTAR and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. It starts off a little slow, but once you get past the first couple of chapters, the story picks up pace and takes you on a wild ride! The plot line was crafted very well, a stronger plot than some of Maas’s other books. The murder mystery keeps you guessing and I had theories as to the end but the actual ending is so much better than my theories. I’ve started book 2! Can’t wait for book 3 next year!

E. Markewitz

Incredible story. Just an all around great read…you get totally sucked into the world the author built!

JDUH09

OMFGGGG. BEST BOOK EVER. I love love lovedddd ACOTAR so freaking much and was looking for another story to be completely immersed in and this book did 👏🏻 not👏🏻 fail 👏🏻 every piece of this book coming together at the end and then leaves you wanting more. Literally just finished and about to start book #2 right now!!!

Brycali

Per usual, amazing. Sarah J Maas is the absolute best. I know with her my favorite characters are safe and I will not be left on needless cliff hangers for two years. This book has a quite unpredictable ending and kept me on the edge the whole time! So excited for the next.

Eladiolymari

One of my favorites!. Easily one of my all time favorite books. The world building is incredible. I love the more modern day feel and how it still seems to fit in so perfectly in a world full of magic. The friendship Bryce and Danika share is amazing and really comes to life within these pages. Their dynamic together is really relatable, as is how Bryce chooses to grieve. Bryce has a lot of character growth and it was wonderful to read about her gaining confidence in herself. The relationship between her and Hunt is the epitome of tension packed slow burn. I adore them together! Supporting characters are also great and bring so much depth to the story. Amazing!

Softball_Gurl_0101

It’s okay. The book is in between “it’s not good, but it’s not bad.” I enjoyed the first half more from the stark action and immediate tragedy. However, it was annoying that every few pages had curse words (astonishingly just happens to go away for the last half of the book) and the male lead was very disappointing. The only character I loved throughout the book was Danika and she was only introduced in the first few chapters/part. The male lead was a drag, he was extremely judgmental and had the temperament of an explosive donkey. I don’t know how they fell in love because he was mostly a butthole throughout it- his only redeeming characteristic would be his hotness I guess. The book was long which I don’t mind but majority of it was filler and fluff. A good chunk could be taken out and those parts were very reminiscent of- please forgive me- wattpad level writing. I didn’t even know the book was listed for adults, it could have fooled me to be YA. The beginning of the book was also a lot of info dumping; I almost thought I had to read another series to understand what was going on with the world building. I don’t think I’ll get the second book simply because the first was barely enjoyable. I liked the climax and it did have my thoughts spiraling on the edge of my seat but I really disliked the delivery. It was as if Micah had become that cliché villain who let out a whole monologue about his plans to the hero only for those plans to be spoiled. I enjoyed the mystery of Danika and the crime to be solved, but it’s unfortunate to say that I *only* liked Danika and that’s saying something considering she’s hardly in the book as nothing but a memory. Anywho, Danika made me cry, the rest of the book was a meh. Oh, also, there are so many minor details within the book that turn out to be big plot points near the end and it felt… anticlimactic. I felt like Bryce’s character was forced, especially her bad to the bone characteristics like the shooting of the rifles- that had felt very much like a wattpad reveal where the female is SO much cooler than they all thought. “omg she can shoot guns and kill demons so efficiently at only 20 something years old!!!” That’s how it felt. This is the end of my rant.

Rjminx

Can’t put it down. Can’t wait for the sequel! Fun and flirty with incredible creativity and excellent story.

A.Sluder

She does it again!. Amazing read!!! Could not put down!!

KonaRaven

Thank Urd!. This was such an amazing read filled with twists and turns and characters you love or hate. Such a good read. Sarah J Maas just totally killed it with this book.

Paizlee

Amazing. Beautifully written.

2448284026!!!

Amazing. I’m still reeling and loved it. So many feelings! Can’t wait to read the next one!

BTP42

Fast paced and exciting. In true Sarah Maas fashion. The story takes you on a thrill ride with lots of twists and turns, but takes you where you want to go in the end.

Tommi-lynne

Wow. I need more this was amazing.

Bmm1009

Awesome pacing. I was never bored. This was awesome. Pacing was great and throughout the book, she filled in many pieces to be fully revealed at the end. I love I did not guess correctly each twist!!

Laurabird123

The House of Earth and Blood. Great read, and I am not a reader of this kind of story. I loved it. If you are thinking of buying this book, you will not be sorry.

Stormie-H

Loved it. Slow and confusing to start, but when you finally get the lay of the characters and world, man is this book good! Twists and turns, good love story.

Jlo8303

Phenomenal. Admittedly, like many of Maas’s books, it’s a little hard to get into at first because it spends so much time world building, scene setting, and introducing so many different characters. But also like Maas’s books, it’s so incredibly worth it once the series is set up. The themes and action sequences are stunningly beautiful and once you’re halfway in, you can’t put it down. The ending was pivotal and all her world building has set up for the rest of what I can already see is going to be a phenomenal series. Super pumped for the next one!

Katfurr

It draws you in. This book had some predictable elements - but enough surprises to keep you engaged! A fascinatingly detailed government and social structure with exciting and engaging characters and citizens. Sexy, exciting and emotionally pulling - this is a fantastic example of modern fantasy (which does not use 40 pgs. to describe a field or building)! Two thumbs up.

Gayieee

Couldn’t put it down. Loved these characters. I was at the edge of my seat for nearly the entire story. This book made me laugh, cry, imagine, and wonder. Enjoyed even more than acotar

Master_McG

Worth it!. Took a while for the characters to develop. Worth the read.

QueenOfHeartsJill

Interesting. But a little too hard to believe. Got a little ridiculous. Liked the other series better.

Andhuck

Too Good!!. I’ve read all her series and can’t pick a favorite but man this one is good! The characters are good to their core and so easy to love and the writing builds the world so well. For those of us with big imaginations, this is the kind of world we get sucked into and feel a part of as we read. The plot builds and isn’t easily guessed at. A great read all the way to the last page.

SJ Maas never disappoints. After ACOTAR, I didn’t think I could love again, lol, but she proved me wrong! Her writing is just exceptional!
