The Pool Boy

The Pool Boy by Nikki Sloane Book Summary

Nothing says happy birthday like catching your husband in a compromising position with his boss.
His male boss.
Why, hello, midlife crisis. I’m starting over, but this time I’m doing it right. Or at least I’m doing what I want.
Taking the day off from work to hang out poolside? Yup. Do I leave the swimsuit in my house? Sure.
Does my very hot, twenty-something pool boy happen to catch me naked? Oh, yeah, he does. And he likes what he sees… a lot.
My best friend keeps telling me to have a fling and get back out there. But I’m not so sure she meant for me to do it with her son.

A lot of people were complaining that book 1 “The Doctor” lacked depth & I think Nikki made up for that with this book. Not to mention as opposed to 1 POV we got both Troy & Erikas in this book. It’s still not as deep as you would expect a romance book to be but I’m under the impression these are supposed to be light & sexy so if that is the case she 100% nailed it & I would definitely recommend if that’s what you’re looking for.

Troy is just HOT! Loved that whole story. Hope to read more about Preston.

I was so happy with this book, I didn’t want it to end!! Loved it!!

- “I love you, pool boy!”5 star

Yes, I love this pool boy, and this book made me so happy! As the blurb says, Erika is in her early 40s coming off a divorce after her husband cheated and taking time for herself which I really appreciated. I appreciated her journey, because even though she is older she still had things to learn about herself. Troy is her younger pool boy and best friend’s son, so a fling is not a good idea. But their chemistry is too hot to be ignored! I love Troy in this book, and he is a perfect book boyfriend! I can’t even put my finger on why I love him so much, but I do and he made me smile so much! It is refreshing to have a book like this that doesn’t have a lot of drama (which is what this author is usually known for, in my opinion). Erika and Troy are perfectly matched in the bedroom and in the music business, but can it be more? Read this hot, fun, age-gap romance with characters I love and not much drama and find out, because I highly recommend it! *I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review.*
